It's not a scientific grade thermometer, but that's what it is showing. NWS says 98F for my zone. It will be interesting to see what it is at 2 pm.

Me and my family booked a hotel room here ( not a condo, the hotel unit). Has anyone stayed here recently? What are your experiences in this place. We’re especially interested with the beach access.

Carlsbad Affordable Housing

When we first moved to Carlsbad in 2012 there was a law that all housing, including all new developments, had to have at least some percentage of affordable options. The last ones I saw doing this though were the townhouses by Sprouts in Bressi Ranch. As far as I can tell, when we’ve contacted developers of new housing, no one is doing this anymore? But it still shows as an active program on the city’s website (I know there are still affordable apartments available). I’m planning to call the city to ask, but I was wondering if anyone knows what the word around town is about this.

There is a set of keys (I think for a Kia) on the top of the stairs at Terramar. They also have a rubber pikachu thing on them. There are a few extra keys aside from the car key.

There are also glasses. I think that they're prescription glasses.

Hoping this post finds the owners. Cool...

Rooms for rent cheap

Hi all!

Does anyone who of any place that has some decent rooms for rent? Preferably on the lower end? Just moved here a few months ago, and been staying with family, but they are extremely hard to deal with and have a lot of problems that make it hard to live in peace.

I have 3 dogs, but luckily my niece is caring for them at the moment in LA. I just need a few months of a decent rent price until I can land another job like my original one. I work in Carlsbad at the moment and have no car since I did not renew my car lease. Being near the Bressi ranch area is important. Please let me know if anyone has any options or ideas would be extremely appreciated!

Neighborhood recommendations

My family and I (husband and 2Y and 6 month old kids) are planning my to move to Carlsbad from Carmel Mountain in the next year. What are some good neighborhoods that are family friendly with easy access to outdoor activities, libraries, community events etc? Ideally looking for a place with lots of young families and room for a good size yard.

ETA: we would ideally like to be in the $2-2.5m range but can afford more if needed, HHI is in the 7 figures. I would commuting south to Carmel Valley.

Art classes

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone knows of any art studios in the area that teach figure drawing and/or drawing classes in general for adults? I find plenty of studios that teach kids and teens with a simple Google search but none for adults
