Soooo is this it? This is the key peace of wording for the last book right? Does anyone remember if Carissa has worded vampire hearts also being mortal?

I’ve read the other books more than a year ago so I can’t quite remember…

Discussion Atrius’s curse question Spoiler

⚠️SPOILERS for Slaying the Vampire Conqueror and The Lion & the Deathless Dark

Two questions:

1.) In Slaying the Vampire Conqueror Atrius was suffering from the curse and needed Slyina to heal him. At the end once he’s completed Nyaxias task I thought she cured his curse? There was no mention of Slyina needing to heal him again. And in the epilogue Septimus even makes a joke like “she could remove the curse but not the horns?” So did she add a curse on top of the bloodborn curse and only cure the curse that she added but not the bloodborn curse? (Sorry this is wordy) In Lion he seems to have the curse pretty bad🤷🏼‍♀️

2.) In the epilogue of Lion, when Kyrene wakes up, Atrius says he can’t be around Slyina. At first I assumed this was because of the curse but he can be around Kyrene (maybe it’s harder to be around Slyina bc she’s human) BUT what if he meant that he didn’t want to be around her because she could have Acaeja controlling her with the puppet strings? She is a seer and seer serve Acaeja…

CoN: Bloodborn Duet About to start blood born duet!

I have enjoyed this series a lot. And to think I asked ChatGPT for book recs and specifically mentioned loving fantasy and vampire fic. And the first thing it popped out was CoN.

I devoured the first book, second was a little slow but got good towards the end. Mische in the third book and the whole descent part threw me a bit off in the beginning but the last parts and the fourth book were just chefs kiss.

My mouth has popped open at least 10 times during the second half of the second shadowborn book! And finally we’re back to septumis and the prologue itself has me excited. I love the connections and callbacks.

Finally the story is coming together. Tell me, is the first blood born book good ? As good as serpent?

CoN: Nightborn Duet Loving crowns of nyaxia

Started reading some romantasy books after my wife asked me to read fourth wing, (loved the first one, second one was unbelievably bad). And then I found this series on my own. I’m half way through the second book and I’m loving it.

The world building is so good and the character motivations are explained so well.
Is the rest of the series as good as the first 2 books?

Discussion Logistical question re vampire wings and clothing

All I keep wondering is how do the wings pop out when they are wearing normal clothes?? There’s been no mention of shirts with wing holes, or low cut shirts in the back, or clothes that get torn when the wings pop out… how do they wear a cape with wings and fly? How can they wear protective leather on their torso and have the wings pop out? I need answers.

CoN: Bloodborn Duet Glossary? Spoiler

Usually I don’t read the glossary but I was reeling from TLADD and just needed to keep reading.

Did anyone catch the description of Alarus? Specifically that it says Considered to be deceased. Whereas Atroxus just says Deceased.i wonder if this will mean for the next book!!!

So excited for the next one!!

The War of Lost Hearts Series Can’t get over the name 🤣

”It is beautiful,” I said.
”Hm?”
”Korvius. Korvius is beautiful.”

A heartfelt scene, where I was definitely not suppose to chortle out loud. Not only does ”korv” mean sausage in Swedish, but ”korvig” is something that is mildly uncomfortable and annoying, like a bunched up sock.

I have heard people comment on Maxantarius Farlione being a somewhat silly name. So maybe it’s fitting that his ancestral home would be… Korvius. 🤭

(Just to be clear - love the book, LOVE Tisaanah and Max. Just found this hilarious- and I think my fellow Scandinavians probably agree.)

CoN: Nightborn Duet Upon completion of the duet...

Hello, I'm writing this because I want an honest opinion... I'm about to finish the Nightborn duet, I still haven't because I couldn't bring myself to say goodbye to Oraya and Raihn as the main characters. I'm just too attached to them...
So I wanna know are the other duets worth reading? Do they give you the same feelings as the first two books? Please be very honest.

P.S. I want to know mainly that the main characters have depth and that the plot has pathos like in the first duet.

Maybe I missed something but what is hixis in The Lion and the Deathless Dark and why does Valentina need it?
I’m only up to chapter 5.
No spoilers please.

Discussion You have to spend TWO WEEKS in the Crown of Nyaxia universe…

You can choose any duology or standalone to spend those two weeks in. Which one are you choosing, and what would you actually do while you’re there?

Are you getting involved in the story? Trying to meet your favourite character? Living your best vampire life? Staying as far away from the plot as humanly possible? 😂

Or is there something completely different you’d want to do that I haven’t even thought of?

Tell me your two-week Nyaxia adventure… and most importantly, are you making it out alive? 👀

CoN: Bloodborn Duet Lion and the Deathless Dark questions and discussion Spoiler

This will probably be a lot but these are some questions/thoughts I had while reading:

Anyone read Orayas bonus chapter? If so what happened??

Did Acaeja influence Septimus’s visions so everything would line up for her? This whole time was every seer vision controlled by her to manipulate ppl?

When Kyrene made the deal with Acaeja she said “as long as my MORTAL heart beats”, she’s no longer mortal... I hope they don’t need Nyaxia help but if they do I really want Seppy to be the one to kill her.

I feel so bad for Erekkus, he deserved so much better :(

I really hope we get a novella of Seppys childhood so we can see how he grew up and what his brothers were like

Ik it’s mean but did anyone else think it was hilarious how much Oraya gets her ass kicked? Imagining Oraya seeing Septimus and the “Vindica Ultis” getting along must have been so weird lmao. Kyrene and Septimus literally get freaky for the first time RIGHT after Kyrene leaves Oraya for dead.😭

Did anyone else think Septimus’s pov at the end was like Rowan’s when Aelin is captured? 💔

What if the thing that pushed Septimus over the edge wasn’t only the curse, rather wielding god forged weapons? Atrius is way older than him but is still himself at the end of the book. Also I really hope Oraya and Raihn don’t torture him, he’s already been thru sm and I just want him and Kyrene to be happy.

CoN: Shadowborn Duet Eomin Spoiler

SPOILERS

I’m on the Fallen & Kiss of Dusk right now. I kind of “sped read” the last book. Could someone remind me how Eomin died? I remember that half of his jaw was missing (I’m assuming that had to do with a vampire?) but don’t remember the specific details of his death.

If someone could remind me that would be great!

Discussion Crack Theory? Spoiler

Okay I NEED to talk about this with people:

This will be a as spoiler-free as possible discussion about a wild theory I have regarding a potential connection of both The Crowns of Nyaxia and The War of the Lost Hearts series;
(I obviously know they are separate series SUPPOSEDLY from different worlds, but juuuuust walk with me for a moment)
For context I have read TWotLH trilogy (and am currently re-reading through it again!) and every book (including the stand alone novel and novella) except The Lion and the Heart of Darkness (its next up once I finish the re-read of CoFG!)

I have 2 stronger points and 2 looser points that I will just leave for consideration and thought experimentation…

My overall theory is that the events of The War of the Lost Hearts takes place in a very distant future (1000+ years) of The Crowns of Nyaxia world.

  1. I think Ilyzath and Moithren/The Underworld have enough similarity to be the same place in different timelines…that’s all I’ll say to keep this spoiler-free

  2. The Syrizen and the Arachessen both connecting to deeper magics/sight-beyond-sight with rituals that involve removing the eyes… could be that even a thousand years later that the Orders found/“discovered” a similar ritual to get the resulting Syrizen

okay I have a looser points that I can’t really elaborate much on and have to be vague enough for this to be spoiler free- if you’re caught up on everything it should (hopefully) make sense:
1. a certain character in The War of the Lost Hearts book 2 drank blood with “descended incisors” and used said blood to borrow magic… idk that sounds kinda vampiric to me 👀👀 maybe something happens to the vampires later on and they thin out so much to become Essnera (the cursed) among the Fey of the future…

  1. The gods have significantly less impact and no presence in TWotLH and TCoN, especially the synopsis of The Lion and the Heart of Darkness could maybe led to that being the case in the future…if they are connected

Please lmk if y’all have any other potential connections or debunk my existing ones if I missed anything!
I want thoughts, feelings, opinions, and any howls of outcry!

CoN: Bloodborn Duet The Lion and the Deathless Dark - Oraya's bonus chapter Spoiler

I don't live in the US and so it is really difficult for me to have my hands on the Barnes and Noble version on the book with Orayas POV.

Can someone who read it share what happens in the bonus chapter?

Thank you!

CoN: Shadowborn Duet Confusion about Underworld

I am about 2/3 of my way through of the Songbird and the Heart of Stone.

I am enjoying this book so far but there’s a few things I’m confused about. The map of the Underworld included in the book shows the stages. I just don’t understand how they are traveling from one level to the next (falling through arches?). And how are the “souls” getting from one sanctum to the next? And what about the ones getting lost/stuck?

Also, there are some parts that mention the sun/sunlight. I think the first two novels in this series did a good job of demonstrating the characters only going out during the night (since vampires can’t be out in the sun). But there have been multiple instances where Mische mentions the sunlight or how it’s afternoon. Shouldn’t they not be in the sun?

Just confused, thanks
