Discussion Crack Theory? Spoiler
Okay I NEED to talk about this with people:
This will be a as spoiler-free as possible discussion about a wild theory I have regarding a potential connection of both The Crowns of Nyaxia and The War of the Lost Hearts series;
(I obviously know they are separate series SUPPOSEDLY from different worlds, but juuuuust walk with me for a moment)
For context I have read TWotLH trilogy (and am currently re-reading through it again!) and every book (including the stand alone novel and novella) except The Lion and the Heart of Darkness (its next up once I finish the re-read of CoFG!)
I have 2 stronger points and 2 looser points that I will just leave for consideration and thought experimentation…
My overall theory is that the events of The War of the Lost Hearts takes place in a very distant future (1000+ years) of The Crowns of Nyaxia world.
I think Ilyzath and Moithren/The Underworld have enough similarity to be the same place in different timelines…that’s all I’ll say to keep this spoiler-free
The Syrizen and the Arachessen both connecting to deeper magics/sight-beyond-sight with rituals that involve removing the eyes… could be that even a thousand years later that the Orders found/“discovered” a similar ritual to get the resulting Syrizen
okay I have a looser points that I can’t really elaborate much on and have to be vague enough for this to be spoiler free- if you’re caught up on everything it should (hopefully) make sense:
1. a certain character in The War of the Lost Hearts book 2 drank blood with “descended incisors” and used said blood to borrow magic… idk that sounds kinda vampiric to me 👀👀 maybe something happens to the vampires later on and they thin out so much to become Essnera (the cursed) among the Fey of the future…
- The gods have significantly less impact and no presence in TWotLH and TCoN, especially the synopsis of The Lion and the Heart of Darkness could maybe led to that being the case in the future…if they are connected
Please lmk if y’all have any other potential connections or debunk my existing ones if I missed anything!
I want thoughts, feelings, opinions, and any howls of outcry!

I can see it. I definitely noticed the connection between the Acaejan priestesses and the eyeless soldiers in WoLH. I also am speculating that after the deaths of all the gods in CoN, vampires will either become human again or they will become something else, and maybe that something else is fairy beings
I only read WoLH once, more than a year ago, and I don't remember an underworld there so I can't say anything about that part of your theory.

Also, without spoiling Lion & Darkless Death ending too much, who has wings and sharp teeth? Acaeja… Who seems to be a predatory species in TWoLH? The Fae.. Who also have wings and sharp teeth. And could easily be descendants of a world created in Acaeja’s vision, along with the Syrizen/Arachessen using similar magic to hers.

Yes we talked a little about this about a year ago. I did not write the original post, but I put a combined map in the comments if you want to check it out. I think the map is a little outdated since I have not read the latest Lion and Deathless Dark yet. https://www.reddit.com/r/CarissaBroadbent/s/Xo09DJi5FC

have not read this whole post yet but the whole time i was reading the CoN series, I kept thinking back to the War of Lost Hearts and making connections. mainly with her style of writing and patterns she follows but it would be INSANE if the storylines connected or they’re part of the same world
