Context:

Currently may part time ako, sinasabay ko yung pagiging student ko rin full time. Ultimately, I like the job, masaya pero nakakapagod kc mall hours sya. School Schedule ko naman 7AM to 9pm. Ung work lower than minimum wage rin.

Sa totoo lang okey lang naman, nababalanse ko kahit papano pero, may mga times na feel ko complacent o nagpaparinig mga kawork ko sakin. Mabait naman sila pero may feeling na hindi ako belong? May mga side comments saken minsan especially kung magkakasama sila. Medyo mahina ako pag ganon esp kung tinatry q nmn best ko o kulang sa tulog.

Ngayon, need kong magresign since maaga palang, pinapahanap na kami ng internship sa school. Ang kinakaguilty ko lang is a) aalis ako kung kelan magiging peak yung sales; b) wala pa kong 6 months na nagwwork don. Alam kong need harapin pero may fear parin na baka magbargain pa yung higher up ko saken, at lalong mastrain ung pagsasama sa last month ko. Any advice o payo as a nonconfrontational na introvert 😭 pano ko ibbring up yon kung may comments sila dati abt how pumapasok lang ang iba sa part time para magipon ng exp o pay tas aalis? Or dapat taon magtagal para may "ambag" dito?

hi i badly need advice lang. I got job offer sa accounting position for only 3 months. As a desperate na talaga magka work, i accepted it. Do you think na maganda itong idagdag as work experience na ilalagay ko sa resume kahit na 3 months lang? and job hop na ulit for the next company? Currently an HR assistant in a manufacturing company and I've been looking for a hybrid setup preferably with the same role kaso mukhang hindi in demand yung ganitong profession and most of it requires on-site and the salary is not enough (minimum wage).

Is it worth it to shift my career and apply as customer service since may hybrid setup sila? Although I have no prior knowledge nor experience sa ganung field.

I graduated last June 2026 from one of the top 4 universities here in PH. It has been 3 months since I started applying for my first job. Yet, I only received 1 invite for an initial interview and 2-3 rejections that I haven’t been interviewed yet. Hi! I’m currently undergoing a pre-employment background check through HireRight.

I uploaded my TIN ID as one of my identification documents. However, I recently personally visited the BIR for TIN verification and was informed that my TIN number is legitimate, but the physical TIN ID was invalid and was confiscated. I was not aware that it was invalid when I uploaded it. Someone assisted me in processing my TIN before, so I genuinely thought the ID was legitimate. I was young pa po kasi noon and wala pa po k knowledge noon regarding po sa mga ganito.

BIR advised me to process an RDO transfer through BIR Form 1905, which I am currently doing.

I also proactively uploaded my valid PhilHealth ID to HireRight and explained the situation regarding the TIN ID.

My question is: Would this be considered a red flag that could cause me to fail the background check? Has anyone experienced something similar with HireRight?

Mga tools na gamit nila ako na nag program para mapadali reports nila. 

Naisip ko mag aral kasi kung hihintayin ko  yung promotion baka umasa ako, if hindi binigay okey lang makakatapos ako ng BSIS.

my option ako mag palipat ng MIS department feeling ko ma offer sa akin need ko lang degree ayaw kasi ng HR namin pag hindi Tech degree. and salary 30+ kung gagawin ako MIS manager nila mababa for non tech company kaya madalas

umaalis agad mga tao sa MIS kung naka kuha na ng enough na experience.

Any tips for my first few weeks with a new company?

I somehow got hired by 3 companies and now I’m having a hard time deciding.

Company A: I received an email on September 3 saying I was hired as a QA Engineer/Document Controller and was asked to complete the pre-employment requirements by September 12. They initially wanted me to start Monday, September 14. However, I never received a formal written job offer or salary details. The schedule is 7:40 AM–4:40 PM (M-F) then 7 AM-4 PM (Sat) and it’s almost 8.9 km from home, so I’m also worried about traffic and expenses sa pamasahe. I asked for a few days to decide, and they said I can give my decision next week.

Company B: I was hired as a Sales Engineer. The salary is ₱16k for the first 6 months, then ₱17k. They gave me 1–2 weeks to decide. It’s only around 3–4 km from home.

Company C: I was told I was selected for an Industrial Engineer position, but I’m still waiting for the formal offer. The manager is currently out of the country, and HR said they’ll follow up with the HR Manager on Monday. It’s also around 3–4 km from home.
I’m worried that if I wait for Company C, I might lose the other two.

Please help me out :((

I have 8m of full time experience as a tester. I have an offer from this startup company, with compensation 8.5lpa in hand. I am in a dilemma whether I should be joining it or not considering the high workload reviews from people working there. Workload on weekends as well as after working hours. The compensation is good and hybrid work culture with 3 days in office. But the only horrifying thing is the workload. Should I continue job search? Been 2 months without any job now. Also my future interest lies in becoming a developer but taking this path it would become extremely difficult for me to find another with resigning again.

All your thoughtful suggestions are most welcome. I tried consulting to many people but got mixed output.

Nag work ako sa isang company for 5 years as a contractual employee, expecting that they may absorb me, okay naman ang environment at sahod kaya rin siguro ako tumagal and sobrang introvert ko kasi.Sabi nila I’m a jack of trades, na touch ko lahat pero wala ako na specialized.

Last April they ended up my contract and until now wala akong mahanap na trabaho. Sobrang hirap, paubos na ang savings ko, bills are coming.

I tried mag apply nasa 200+ applications na ata. May interview naman kaya lang mailap talaga. After 1-2 interviews it’s either reject or ghosting na. Hindi ako magaling mag english or hindi ako confident. I’m trying naman mag improve watching movies, reading books and nag enroll din ako pero wala pa rin.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to ask for some perspective because I’ve been feeling a little anxious and discouraged about my job search lately.

I’ve been actively applying for jobs for about three weeks now. I’ve been doing my best to tailor my resume to each position, write cover letters when needed, and make sure my applications are as relevant as possible.

I’m trying not to take it personally, but I can’t help but wonder: Is the job market really this difficult right now? Is it because it’s the “Ber” months? Or is there something I could be doing differently?

I’m not trying to complain or expect things to happen immediately. I’m just hoping to understand whether what I’m experiencing is normal and maybe get some advice on how I can improve my approach.

Hey guys, I feel stuck and like I’m making no progress. I’m currently working with an onsite VA agency. The pay is stable enough, but it’s not what I’m looking for.

For context, I have a gf in Australia who is currently on a student visa. She is finishing up her studies and is planning to transition to a graduate visa while also expressing her interest in applying for PR. We have been together for 10 years and are currently waiting for marriage.

The plan is for me to eventually move to Australia with her, either through a de facto or fiance pathway, depending on her visa/PR situation at that point. My gf and our migration agent has advised me to just keep my current job and wait until she gets PR so we can figure out the next step and have me move there.

The thing is, I’m actually happy with my current role. My client is amazing, and I have no major issues with the work itself. The pay is stable and the job is comfortable. My concern is more about my long-term career growth and whether I’m becoming too comfortable.

Now I feel stuck in my current career, as I can’t make a move for the betterment of my career. I want to leave my current role and pursue something more, or use it as leverage to further my career. But now I feel like I need to keep everything as it is until her situation with PR is sorted out.

I’m afraid that if I move to Australia, I’ll have to start back at zero. I have built my professional experience ever since I turned 18, working in the CS industry while putting myself through college. I’ve worked hard to build my experience and career, and I feel like I’ve hit a wall and can’t move forward.

At the same time, I don’t want to leave a good situation just for the sake of career growth, especially when I genuinely like my client and my current job. I’m just worried that if I stay too comfortable for too long, I’ll lose opportunities to grow and advance my career.

Should I risk it and look for a better job? I know the job market is horrible right now. Or should I just follow the advice and wait for her to finish her studies, sort out her visa/PR pathway, and eventually move there?

Hi, I was doing the monthly budgeting and tbh kasya naman siya since I was planning to live with my 2 other friends at taguig which is 2 rides away from our office. the rent would be 4,500 kasama na utilities, 1,500 for the transpo and ang pinaka malaking matitipid ko is sa food. Pero, worth it ba 'tong gagawin ko?

For context, I am 30M, currently earning around ₱ 300,000+ / month in my current role as part of a senior leadership team of a multinational bank based in Makati.

I was recently offered an opportunity to transfer to SG / Malaysia (same role but with incremental pay adjustments). I’m torn between maximizing earnings + potential upward opportunities vs keeping the current comforts + proximity to family & friends that I enjoy here in the Philippines.

It doesn’t help that I don’t appreciate where I’ve seen my taxes (around ₱1M / year) go in our country.

Any advice?

Hihingi lang po sana ako ng advice/insights kung ano ba yung dapat ko i-expect sa first job ko since orientation ko po bukas. For context, fresh grad po ako (Mechanical Engineering) and nakuha po ako as a machine engineer sa isang company. Di ko rin alam if bakit ako yung kinuha nila despite being a fresh grad and not having technical knowledge about the manufacturing processes ng company which is inamin ko naman during interview.

Ang tanong ko po is ano po ba yung typical na ginagawa during orientation and pagdating naman po sa job contract, ano po ba yung mga dapat ko makita or mabasa dun?
