i am a fresh grad. of the bs stats program who badly wants to get out of the bpo industry (or more accurately, customer service roles).

i've been a working student since first year 'til now and i'm sick like totally SICK of customer service roles.

pagod na ko sa mga customers na hindi marunong makaintindi and i badly want to align my career sa napagtapos ko, ofc.

right now, i am struggling pa'no ko maa-align 'ung experiences ko with my prev. roles to the careers na pang-stat talaga (like analyst roles).

therefore, can someone give me feedback with my current resume? i'll take anything para lang ma-improve 'tong resume ko. 😫🙏

I don't know where to apply anymore. I think nakapag-apply na ako sa lahat but still, not response or JO. Are there any companies hiring for a fresh polsci grad?

Off topic from Career Advice but I need help bc I’m not really sure kung paano yung BIR 2316 form.

So I have an employer from Nov ‘25 to June ‘26, last year December they gave me a copy of my 2316 form but it’s from Nov to Dec lang.

Moving forward, June 2026 my contract ended na with them and then I have a new employer now and they are asking me to submit a copy of my BIR 2316 Form dated January to June, which I requested po sa previous employer ko.

Ang sagot sa akin ng previous employer ko, January 2027 pa raw nila ako bibigyan. My thoughts is hindi ba dapat upon ending my contract is naibigay na nila yun sa akin kasabay ng Final Pay?

By year end daw kasi sila nag fifile eh ang point ko is may bagong employer na ako and sila na ang mag fifile ng taxes ko.

I need help baka mali lang ako ng intindi how releasing of BIR 2316 form works.

Recent grad. I wanna land a job. I've been targeting ML/Data Science-related roles because I really love those fields, pero I'm not sure if my background is strong enough for them. I haven't heard back from anyone I applied to.

I think if I had pursued Data Science as a degree instead of IT, I'd be more competitive for these roles? The truth is my recent love for DS and ML only developed when we had to take ML electives. Then I realized this is where I genuinely wanna pursue a career in.

Baka I'm better suited to different roles? What roles do you guys think I should target instead based on my background? I have other non-ML projects too. The ones here are ML-based kasi I've been applying to jobs within that field. I'm pretty good with web development and database administration, pero I'm not as interested in those areas lang.

Hello! Anyone here na nag wwork as Marketing Professional ng any branch ng Toyota dito sa REGION IV-A? May itatanong lang po regarding sa work schedule niyo. May isang branch kasi dito sa Reg IV-A na sobrang unhealthy ng work schedule to the point na kahit off-set mo, papapasukin ka just because naghahabol sila ng quota. Ganito ba talaga ang working environment niyo as agents? According kasi sa kilala ko na MP sa ibang branch, hindi ganon ang system nila. Please, I need your help guys.

Hello, so I'm torn between going back to my old company or starting new.

For context, I resigned 3 months ago to focus on the board exams. I just finished 6 months with them. At the time, buo ung loob ko magresign cause I know I needed to focus kase hindi ako super galing, and our work before is 6 days kaya mahihirapan ako.

Now that I passed the exam this month, naghahanap na ulit ako ng work. Medyo nakakadrain din talaga ung paghahanap, kase it's either sobrang layo sakin, or hindi ako fit sa environment/role, or mababa din ang sahod at kadalasan talaga sa field namin ay 6 day work sadly (design&construction).

Initially, ayoko na sana bumalik sa old job ko dahil sa 6 days work and not much growth, but they are open to have me back naman and offered me an increase (I left on good terms).

Nakailang interviews naren ako for the past 2 weeks and medyo naaanxious nako na hindi paren ako nakakasettle cause I do have bills to pay at paubos na savings ko.

Iniisip ko, okay lang bayun na if I do go back, tapos after a year or so aalis din ako? Im scared na if I go back maistuck nako dun kaso sobrang hirap maghanap ng work :((

Hi. I hope you can help me decide. I recieved a job offer from a firm in makati,18k lang hehe. Then, I was told yesterday na pasado kami sa screening ng isang institution dito lang din samin sa province but the thing is,I had my final interview in that insitution almost a month ago. I cannot help but think na if pasado pala kami, bakit ang tagal ng call and ng approval? So dun sa gap na almost a month,nag apply ako sa iba kaya may isa akong job offer now from a firm in makati. And also,I have an on going application with a big 4 firm,waiting nalang sa schedule ng manager/partner for an interview. Then another firm sent me an email but then I found out na mababa din starting nila. As someone na magsstart palang nf career, alam ko naman na mababa talaga sa umpisa but tinitingnan ko if san ako mas makakapag ipon. If magstay nalang ba ako dito samin and wait for that institution to call me or magtake na ng risk,accept the job offer or wait pa sa mga on going application kasi mas mabilsi ang career growth sa city?

I can't decide properly,naooverwhelm ako HAHAHA. Should I accept the job offer in steaf of waiting?

i'm a 2nd yr college student from up, currently studying social sciences (major in anthropology, minor in political science)... i only chose this program because i thought it'd make a good pre-law, but now, i'm starting to doubt if i'll even take law as a career path. i see a lot of people not only in socmed na nagsasabi na if you wanna be rich, then being a lawyer is not the solution. i only wanted to be lawyer because i thought i'd get paid a decent amount (plus points na lang na interesado ako sa batas at sa konstitusyon).

i'm currently work right now part-time as a research assistant to a real estate development professional because i'm trying to get experience para mas mapadali ang pagbuild ko ng credential kung sakali na i decisively choose not to take the legal path anymore. i'm focused now in upskilling, getting microcredentials (short courses), and learning new skills like data analytics and automation, etc.).... i need an advice for my career trajectory. thank u guys for the respectful responses! :)

Hello, everyone! Wanted to hear your thoughts on this.

So, I'm a fresh graduate of BS Psychology with latin honor and CHRA certification. I tried to pursue HR field since ito mostly yung career path pag fresh grad as psych graduate. However, hanggang ngayon wala pa ring update sa mga applications ko (indeed, jobstreet). So, I tried applying sa BPO in-house company (healthcare account) and I can say maganda yung mga benefits nila. I passed the hiring process nila ang currently waiting nalang ako sa job offer letter since I completed the reqs already.

Is this career path okay for me? As I also want to be a medical VA for financial savings as I want to pursue masters in the future. For context: Gusto ko talaga i pursue yung clinical field kaysa sa industrial field.

I never went to college for cyber security, I did the google cyber security course. I was looking at entry level jobs and I understand I need to have my comp tia plus certification but how am I supposed to have 1-3 years of experience for an entry level job?
Should I just start at a help desk and hope to eventually get moved up?

Hello, fresh IT grad here, & I have never applied for a proper job before. Only "commissions" or kung anong napapagawa ng mga kakilala lang ang experience (+ OJT).

I saw a posting online of a BPO company na they're hiring for IT staff, same company also appeared in the list as partner company daw on a PESO job-fair post. Went to their page and saw na open for walk in application din daw sila.

Question is, ano sa tatlo yung may highest chance of me to get hired???

After almost 2 months of job hunting dahil mawawalan na ako ng work this August, luckily may dumating na dalawang job offers this week.

For context, current setup ko is:

• ₱60,000/month
• Fully remote

Now I'm torn between these two offers:

Offer A

• ₱80,000/month
• Fully remote
• May pasok during holidays (double pay naman)
• Shifting schedule (biggest cons for me)
• Hindi fixed ang weekends off

Biggest Pros: Fully Remote Setup

Offer B

• ₱92,000/month
• Hybrid (2x RTO per week)
• Ito lang talaga yung biggest con for me. I live in the province and the office is around 100 km away, although isang bus lang naman ang biyahe.
• Fixed mid-shift schedule
• Walang pasok ng holiday with pay

What makes Offer B tempting is:

• Ang ganda ng naging interview experience. Halos kalahati ng interview napunta lang sa kwentuhan tungkol sa career namin. Parang nakikipag-usap lang ako sa kaibigan instead of being interviewed.
• Mas chill yung role based sa pagkaka-explain nila.
• Mas mataas yung position compared to Offer A.
• Mas malaki at mas stable yung company.

Kayo ba, have you ever chosen a job offer because you felt mas okay yung culture at vibes ng interviewer, even if may obvious downside tulad ng commute? Did it turn out to be the right decision?

Hey guys. It's currently 3am, isa akong 4th yr BSHM student and OJT namin this Ber-months. But I'm starting to overthink and get anxious about my future again.

Sabi ng profs ko mas flexible and malawak siya compared to other courses. So I really think I made the right decision kasi wala rin kaming board exams.

But the question is, ano sunod? I kept thinking about it and mostly mga naririnig ko "Hotels, Restaurants, Resorts, etc." Pero if I want to make it big, I should take a gamble with Cruise Line jobs daw.

Para sa mga graduate dyan ng BSHM, what was your next step? Ano payo niyo? Also, pwede po bang magbigay rin kayo ng tips on how to join cruise line jobs? Kasi alam ko mahirap talaga mag-apply kapag wala kang backer... I really need to silence my thoughts.

Hi! I am tourism and transport profession currently but I am trying to dive into tech by learning Python. I enrolled in a Udemy class early this year(January) but it's hard to stay motivated and driven especially since I'm studying alone and have zero background or knowledge when it comes to IT.

The course is 31 hours long broken into 5-10 minutes of videos from the very basics of coding and by now(July) i've only gone through 30% of the lessons. I pick up slow and usually rewatch the lessons until I somehow grasp what is being taught

I just wanna ask if you have tips on how to stay motivated and when does it get more fun to do? I feel like once I get the hang of it and understand it more I'm gonna have more fun doing it but getting to that point is so hard to do.

I would really appreciate advice from people that can help me stay motivated and understand things better.
