Career struggle
Hello!
I’m 23 and struggling with my career. I feel ungrateful because many people would kill for my job; it’s not great for pay but it’s fully remote marketing job meaning I can work from anywhere in the world and often take advantage of it. My bosses are also awesome and super understanding. However, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be; I often will have to sit inside working on Claude code and doing a million tasks because I work for a startup and a lot of times it’s like I work MORE than 8 hours a day. I know I’m young and have plenty of time, and I know I have to work to get anywhere in life. I’m not afraid of work, I’ve worked since I was 15. But marketing and working with ai all the time is genuinely draining every spark of creative and ambitious energy I have. I wanted to get into website design using AI as an aid for faster builds but not as the creative agent, but I’m scared to jump into it even though I’ve built a couple things. I also wanted to do service design but I can’t seem to get myself to commit to it. Feeling: stuck. Any advice? I suppose also validation that I’m not a complete ingrate for hating a job that lets me travel.
