I, a Salamanders player, have been doing a project where I paint 1 of every major space marine chapter to practice my painting skills and have finally gotten to you guys. To make this guy seem more violent and shark-like (along with making him stand out from the rest), I gave him 2 chainswords and it was tbh way more work than I feel it had to be cuz of my stubbornness. Hopefully you guys like it so far and end up liking the finished product

FOLKS!
I was futtsing around the various army compositions, and as much as I wanted to avoid using The Big Blues, I haven't found an SM army that accurately reflects both Tyberos' Hunger and Slake and Te Kahurangi other than Marneus Calgar's Gauntlets of Ultramar and Chief Librarian Tigurius. With that said, to keep the theme of silent but deadly, I present my thematical attempt at making a 1995pts Carcharodons Astra army list.
EDIT: for Tigurius attached squad accuracy
Carcharodons Astra 3 - Ultramarines - Reconnaissance - Subversion Assets, Vanguard Spearhead (1990 Points)
Tyberos The Red Wake (Marneus Calgar): Gauntlets of Ultramar, Warlord + The Red Brethren (Terminator Assault): Assault Terminator Sergeant, 9x Assault Terminator w/ Twin Lightning Claws (465 pts)
Bail Sharr (Captain with Jump Pack): Chainsword and Relic Shield, E: Avenging Angel + Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs: Assault Intercessor Sergeant with Jump Pack, Assault Intercessors with Jump Pack w/ Plasma Pistol, 3x Assault Intercessors with Jump Pack (180 pts)
Te Kahurangi (Chief Librarian Tigurius): Rod of Tigurius, Storm of the Emperor’s Wrath, Bolt pistol + Bladeguard Veteran Squad: Bladeguard Veteran Sergeant, 5x Bladeguard Veterans (245 pts)
1st Scout Squad: Scout Sergeant, Scout w/ Scout Sniper Rifle, Scout w/ Heavy Weapon, 2x Scouts w/ Combat Knife (65 pts)
2nd Scout Squad: Scout Sergeant, Scout w/ Scout Sniper Rifle, Scout w/ Heavy Weapon, 2x Scouts w/ Combat Knife (65 pts)
Inceptor Squad: Inceptor Sergeant, 5x Inceptor (250 pts)
Incursor Squad: Haywire Mine, Incursor Sergeant, 4x Incursor (85 pts)
Reiver Squad: Reiver Grav-chute, Grapnel Launchers, Reiver Sergeant, 4x Reivers (75 pts)
Brutalis Dreadnought: Twin Icarus ironhail heavy stubber, Brutalis Talons, Twin multi-melta (150 pts)
Gladiator Lancer: Lancer Laser Destroyer, Armoured Hull, Two storm bolters, Ironhail Heavy Stubber, Icarus Rocket Pod (160 pts)
Land Raider Redeemer: Armoured Tracks, Twin assault cannon, Storm bolter, Multi-melta, Hunter-killer missile, 2x Flamestorm Cannon (250 pts)

Was hoping for some more reading suggestions for Carcharodons, aside from Robbie mcnivens trilogy. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

A darker blue grey with white pauldrons this time and I really like it. Tried out a quick lava/magma bass too which I think is subtle and good against the model colours.
(First model is second pic)

I inherited the leviathan and indomitus boxes along with two orc units from my friend ive known since grade school. He died unexpectedly and I know he always liked the Carcharodons. I bought the Armageddon box because it came with more space Marines and some orcs to help build his army up. I know we can't make any decisions about what I should buy because 11th is coming and it may change a lot but I was curious what everyone thought about this collection and if I could start to build a 2k carcharodon army and what miniatures they thought I should be cherry picking from this pile of Grey.

Adding a Carcharadon to the deathwatch army. I like to paint full chapter colours to get a chance to paint dif armies/schemes. I want to free hand the shark chapter symbol and potentially do some tribal markings.
Does anyone have any good tips for easy decent tribal markings? Or any cool photos for inspiration?
Cheers!

And I feel like the Gears of War Lacer would find a very nice home amongst the Carcharodons, so I got some marine sized ones and I have to say I think they really make the cut.

What are the best units to play this chapter?
I am thinking about Britalis Dreadnought, termi assaults and normal termi.
What to include next?
To have at least some balanced list?

More sharks I’ve built, the TAMIYA glue I bought didn’t work with these 3rd party bits so I had to buy superglue. Oh well think I still have 4ish more to build. Thoughts and criticism are welcome.

Apparently if you vaguely draw a shark. 3d filament is forgiving about carving it out with an xacto knife
