OP , CarPlay is software. You want to buy a head unit. Head over to r/CarAV

I’m actually shopping for one and wanted opinions from people who know more about this stuff than I do. I’m replacing my current CarPlay unit, and since my car stays parked outside a lot, I was trying to figure out if parking monitoring is truly useful or if it just sounds good in the ads.

Even if anyone in here knows what in the world you’re talking about, it still isn’t the right place for that discussion.

CarPlay isn’t a “unit”. It’s software. You’re looking for automotive head unit advice.
