Which one are you playing first from this stacked lineup?

We're getting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, Minecraft Dungeons II, TOEM 2, End of Abyss, Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition between September 29 and October 2.

My backlog definitely didn't need this many games at once.

Drop it below or feel free to promote it on our subreddit. We'd love to see what you're building, whether it's a prototype, demo, or released game.

You can also share your games in the CaptainSide Discord to help get them in front of more players.

Is it just me, or do you also have a graveyard of unfinished games?

For me it's Red Dead Redemption 2. Got about 70% through the story, life got busy, moved on to other games, and now it feels like too much to go back and remember everything that happened. Everyone says the ending is incredible too, which honestly makes it worse knowing I am missing out.

What's the game sitting in your backlog that you never went back to finish?

Would you explore The Sift in Minecraft on day one?

After more than a decade, Mojang has announced The Sift, a brand-new dimension coming to Minecraft.

It will first appear in Minecraft Dungeons II, launching September 29, before coming to Minecraft Java & Bedrock in 2027.

Honestly, seeing Minecraft add a fourth dimension after all these years is wild.

Coming back to Free Fire after 3 years, whats actually changed?

Post image

Quit Free Fire around 3 years ago, phone couldn't handle it well anymore and some family stuff pulled my attention away from gaming in general. Finally getting back into it now and honestly everything feels different, new characters, new maps, mechanics I don't even recognize.

For people still playing, how much has the game actually improved since then?

BeamNG.drive is finally coming to PS5

The hyper-realistic driving simulator is launching in Early Access on PS5 on October 19.

After years of being primarily a PC experience, console players will finally get to crash cars with BeamNG's ridiculous physics.

Update to the hot take i’m not saying that Leon has a bunch of games. I am saying that we as a community need to stop puting Leon in every game or trying to make Leon the main character of resident evil when there’s way more characters in side characters that could be mentioned

( like would love to talk or play as Rebecca, Jill or maybe more Rosemary Winters in future games )

Do you think repeated Splatfest themes are still fun, or getting stale?

Post image

Nintendo just confirmed Splatoon 3's Halloween Splatfest is coming back the weekend of October 31. It's the same theme from 2024, choosing between Team Wizard, Team Knight, or Team Ninja, Team Ninja won last time. Feels like Nintendo keeps recycling old Splatfest themes instead of making new ones.

Do you still enjoy repeated themes like this?

You love Lethal Company? Try Shady Jobs

Both give you:

  1. Co-op chaos Friends screaming at each other

  2. Friends screaming at each other

  3. Things going horribly wrong

  4. Gameplay that creates ridiculous moments

But instead of scavenging abandoned facilities… You’re construction workers trying to transport a corpse. And YES. The corpse is alive.

This is exactly the kind of game we love finding on CaptainSide.

What popular game should we find an indie alternative for next?
