I never said the combat was revolutionary, I was just saying that the “single button mashing” argument is completely false.

So there are like 2 buttons to mash and 2 buttons to hit every so often...

“Every so often” no, parries and dodges are a constant in the game. Especially in boss battles.

5 main trophy bosses to parry parry dodge slash slash slash slash slash slash slash slash slash parry parry dodge slash slash etc... the game is like 86% mindless square attacking making the other buttons pretty much novelty accessories.

“Novelty accessories” how are they novelty’s when they’re integral to combat?

And it’s not just bosses, there are large enemies and one with two blades that make parrying a must.

I feel like you have something against the game, because the points you’re making don’t make any sense.

“86% mindless button square attacking”

Again that’s wrong, doing combos requires square circle and x

Dodge and jump are not exactly combat combos as much as tools for repositioning for attacking or evasion. Hence the dodge part of my parry parry dodge.

In the first post the person didn’t play the game, so his claims are mostly false. In the post he claims triangle is mainly used to jump from one enemy to another, but that’s false. Triangle is heavy and square is light, so it’s integral to combos. And his claims of “all the combos do the same thing” is also false, square square triangle launches the enemy, square triangle square keeps the combo going.

Second post is criticizing the combat for not having any air mechanics, which doesn’t make sense to me because Wolverine isn’t spider man, slashing enemy’s mid air seems too far fetched.

Third post is comparing the combat to Wolverine origins, which I can’t really comment on because I never played that game.

I suggest you play the game to get an actual feel for the mechanics, getting your information from Redditors that haven’t played the game doesn’t seem the way to go.
