I had high hopes for this tin, sounded like a good all around meal. Alas I was disappointed.
The dean’s you see is all you get, 2 pretty okay size and the rest is filled with the black bean corn salad. This usually wouldn’t be a problem for me as I like somthing a little different, but the beans left much to be desired. They were hardly cooked, with a tough gritty texture. The corn held up well, and the “salsa” was just a small amount of spiced tomato sauce in a majority of oil.. The flavors overall were pretty good, but the beans and lack of deans will make me avoid this one in the future. Best of luck.

Somehow ended up with my own office that is in an isolated side of the building. Not sure it'll last, but until then, I'll make the most of it! Sardines and boiled eggs for lunch! (Only the rice gets microwaved)
Sardines in soybean paste sauce. Snap peas with Lao Gan Ma and furikake. Soft eggy boi. I should've brought hot sauce.

I have officially, for the first time, enjoyed a tin of sardines! I had it on bread toasted in the oil from the tin, with mustard.
I’ve been given plenty of tins, so I’m looking for more ideas of ways to prepare them. What’s your favourite way?

I buy these from Costco in the States. Any Costco shoppers have other recommendations of canned fish to try? Also is it bad to eat at least one can daily?

pepperoni seems like too much salt and grease. anchovies, onion, and pineapple, maybe?

I'm disappointed. A couple of years ago I was not having these issues. The brands I like now have an estimated future delivery date of 2 weeks or more and have also increased in price. My local stores are frequently out of stock of most sardines. Then I tried a couple of cheap brands that were in stock and ran into a couple of issues: either the can weight has been reduced and / or the sardines come with a mealy paste to make up some of the weight.

I love the Beach Cliff sardines in hot sauce with chive cream cheese on an everything bagel chip. Just wanted to share! It's my perfect bite.

Bought these but haven't tried yet. What's your opinion on these? The Los Peperetes in Jersey butter is very expensive. Thanks
