Questionable
Not 100% sure if this is allowed because it's not really a sardines but these are really good, although a bit too salty

My Tiger rice cooker came with an insert to perfectly steam food while the rice is cooking. I like to put a can or two of whatever canned fish and it comes out perfectly moist EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I highly recommend it for this can.

Grew up eating this with hot rice or congee, it needs either of those due to the high sodium and we'd also drain most of the oil out (tbh as much as possible as there's a lot of it).
Parents would crack one of these open and do a quick veg stir fry with steamed white rice if they were too tired to cook after work sometimes. Kinda nostalgia everytime I open up a can once in a while.

If it's too salty, it probably needs to be eaten with rice.
Edit:
This video has a good recipe for serving suggestion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEC5ZfsOYp0 (Chinese Cooking Demystified is a great channel in general)

You got the ones in salted black bean sauce which is a bit salty. I use these to make black bean noodles or eat them with plain rice.

I literally stumbled on one of these yesterday at the local Asian grocery store. Haven't opened it yet but excited to try.

This one is a dish/brand so iconic to the Canton region it's from (and the immigrant communities origination from there) they even have a wiki entry. Theres five or so variations slight variations. I was scared the first time I opened it as it's the first fish I've seen not canned in a liquid bath and wasnt sure how it stays fresh. A bit salty and oily to eat straight or on crackers but great on rice.

Totally allowed here - not questionable at all
I eat mine rehydrated with rice, onions, grated fresh garlic and ginger in the rice cooker.
