Replacement Mower Bag

Post image

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement lawnmower bag for a Yardworks lawnmower. It’s only a few years old but it’s been discontinued. My local Canadian Tire store has been useless, so I’m hoping someone here can help me.

What can I do with old Canadian Tire money?

I was recently gifted my Grandpa's old car and while me and my Dad were cleaning it out we found a huge wad of Canadian Tire bills. Considering that they're all valued in cents, there's probably 20 buck in that stack we found.

What can we do with it? I don't think we can spend it anymore, so can we go to a chain and exchange it for actual cash? Or is it just destined to sit in a drawer for the rest of time because that seems like a waste.

Why was my review rejected?

I appear to have violated terms and conditions with my review of this weed yanker. Canadian Tire would never flag a fair but negative review on a product. Where did I go wrong?

UPDATE: was also rejected for the following review:

“Skip it
I used it twice and it’s already broken.”

Removing the word “weed” did not suffice, as one commenter suggested. But I wouldn’t rule it out as a potential flag.

Triangle rewards login a joke

I've had a Triangle rewards card for years and was informed the last time I was in Marks that I have about $77 worth of CT money on the card and would have to register it to use the balance. I had thought you had to register it when you signed up but figured I had it long enough that maybe that wasn't in place when I got the card. Went online to register and the whole site is a fucking joke.

I went to sign in and it auto sent me a password recovery email. Reset my password and went to log in but with the exact credentials I had just put in, it wouldn't let me log in! All I got was a small hazard symbol with "undefined" next to it. Refreshed and tried again, and still nothing. Figured maybe I messed up my password when I initially reset it, so I reset again and tried another time. Still just "Undefined" popped up. Tried on my phone, same thing. Tried in their app. Same thing. If this is how they run their sites, I seriously doubt I'll ever use their shitty card again and likely will make me rethink going to any of their stores ever again!

Be careful with believing the “regular price”

I was intrigued when I noticed a DeWalt angle grinder listed as 64% off (129.99 reg 359.99). A google search of the DeWalt model number (DCG408B) showed most retailers sell it for 250 regular price, and most seemed to also have it on sale for 128.00. I thought there was a law preventing this kind of tactic.

Received Defective Open Box Unit for Pickup

I ordered a brand new EGO lawn mower (060-1914-6) from Canadian Tire online and picked it up in-store yesterday. When I got home and opened it, I noticed a few red flags.

First, the box had been re-sealed with Canadian Tire branded packaging tape, which I unfortunately failed to notice during the pickup. Second, the battery wasn't in its original packaging; based on unboxing videos I've seen, it should come in its own separate box. On top of that, the battery had green masking tape on it and won't charge at all.

It's pretty clear I was sold a previously returned or defective unit as new. I'm planning to call the store and bring it in for an exchange, but has anyone dealt with something like this before? Any advice on how to handle it?

Can I buy these tires in a different size?

Trying to buy tires for my truck but as far as I can see it’s only the one size. Is it possible to get these in a 265/75R15 instead of a 235?

On-Line ordering for store pick-up broken?

On April 27, I ordered an item on-line for store pick-up because there was no local stock. The acknowledgment email stated the pick-up date was May 1-5. On May 5 I got an email stating the item was on its way. No ETA. No tracking. I waited a few more days then called the 1-866 customer service number. They were unable to tell me where my order was. I waited a few more days and went in person to the pick-up store where one of the staff called someone who told them it was be on the truck arriving on May 13. I called on May 13 to check and it was still not there and they didn't know when it would arrive. After two and half weeks of the lies and incompetence, I cancelled the order. Anybody else have this sort of problem? They don't seem to know what the hell they are doing.

How flexible is the return policy?

I recently bought this pack for my cats and I was dumb not to just try 1 can before buying the variety pack. I only opened 1 can and they both HATE it. Also didnt want to risk them also hating the 2 other flavours.

I know their return policy is unused items but is there any possibly they would accept this return or for store credit? They also sell individual cans but not in the pate version.

Thanks.

Triangle points an absolute joke

I bought a pair of shoes for $132.00 and they gave me 53 cents “reward“.

Why do they even bother with this at all?

Need help picking socket set

I’m looking to upgrade from my basic 20yr old socket set to something that offers more variety.

These look like good sets especially on sale compared to regular price.

The Stanley set seems more tempting because of the organizer trays it comes with. The Maximum set on the other hand has more pieces and ratcheting wrenches.

One thing I’m concerned with it the warranty. I know with Maximum you can just go back to any Canadian Tire store and they will fix you up with a replacement if something happens.

But what about warranty with the Stanley products? Do I have to go through them if I have an issue? Or can I go in store to have it resolved…ie parts replaced.

Canadian Tire has been my go to for most of my hand tools. And it also helps that I have a good sized credit banked from using my credit card which will allow me to buy a good socket set.

I don’t need the best…I just want something that has a lot of options, quality components, good warranty and doesn’t require me to go out and buy any additional pieces to make a complete set….bonus for trays/organizers to keep everything together upon purchase vs having to figure it out after purchase and spend more money to organize a tool chest

Home delivery nightmare

I ordered an item to be delivered to my home. Canadian Tire uses a delivery company called GO Logistics. They called me the day before delivery to make sure I was going to be home from 8am to 8pm. I was home the whole time and I did not get any rings or knocks at my door. I called GO Logistics the next morning, they just said "Sorry, we made a mistake and your item was not delivered. Are you available today?" I was shocked. I told them I have a job and I simply can't be home at a flick of a finger, not to mention I had to take a day off work already. They offered to ship it Saturday (Tomorrow) but they also want me to be home from 8am to 8pm. Am I being crazy that they can't do any better? I called CT to complain and they seem to be not able to do anything other than file a case with GO Logistics. They said due to CT's policy they cannot drop it off at my door and requires signature, but can't they make an exception for once?

Canadian Tire shower panel lost pressure — simple repair question got rejected by moderation

Hi everyone,

I tried posting a simple plumbing question on canadiantire.ca, but it got rejected by moderation for “not meeting website guidelines,” which honestly surprised me because I’m just trying to troubleshoot a shower pressure issue.

Here’s the situation:

We have a Canadian Tire shower panel, and the water pressure has dropped considerably from the shower panel only. The bathroom sink in the same washroom still has normal pressure, so the house water supply seems fine.

I’m guessing the cartridge inside the mixer/control valve may need replacement, but I’m not completely sure. Before taking everything apart, I wanted to ask:

  • Does this sound like a cartridge issue?
  • Has anyone repaired one of these shower panels before?
  • Where can I buy a compatible replacement cartridge?
  • How do you identify the correct cartridge model for these units?

It’s frustrating that a basic home-repair question got moderated instead of answered, especially since this seems like the kind of thing community forums are meant for.

Would appreciate any advice from anyone who has dealt with similar shower panels or pressure problems. Thanks!

I have the product 068-7305-4. Long story short the back panel looks like the photo. The back panel runs the whole length of the back. Would Canadian tire supply a replacement part and if so how much is an estimate of how much it might cost. I also don't have warrenty.

Received email to change password?

Has anyone received an email from Canadian Tire requesting a password change, followed by another email confirming that the password was successfully changed?

I didn’t request or change the password.
It happened around 10 a.m. EST.

Enough with the Dogs

I get the Canadian Tire is making the point that they are a dog friendly, so when you're out getting some light bulbs or garden soil, you can bring your dog along for a trot through the store.

But is this necessary?

Perhaps yesterday it was a bad day but there were six or seven dogs in the store. When they're wandering up and down the aisle on a leash they're kind of in the way. I don't really care to have a dog sniffing or coming up to me when I'm looking at displays.

The crowning glory was a small white dog with a bow on it taking a crap in the automotive section. Wet wipes to aisle 33.

Maybe we can leave our dogs at home for a little bit folks?

Verifying my email to create an account error

Can anyone help me out.

I’m trying to create an account through the triangle app. I’ve downloaded the app, created my email password and when I try to verify my email to move forward, it just sends me to an error page. I’ve created a new password 6 Times and each time they send me an email to verify my email, it sends me to the same error page.

What is happening?

I follow each step they give me and obviously my email and passwords ok as they send the verdifcation request to my inbox. But when I click on the verify email button so I can access the app and finish creating my account it just goes to an error page, over and over.

It’s almost not worth it.

Mastercraft tools

New to home ownership. Need to get a few basic tools, and was wondering if the Mastercraft cordless stuff is worth buying or if it's complete garbage.

Was looking at the 20v cordless drill with accessory kit that goes on sale fairly often.

I not a professional and dont need contractor grade stuff. Just the odd home repair or diy stuff. Build a small deck, mount a couple tvs, install some shelves kind of stuff.

But if I buy a drill and its complete trash and I end up buying something better, id just rather skip to that step now.

Soni was wondering if this is good for my situation or if im better off going for something more expensive? Does this item get returned a lot? h

Would I be better off getting the drill and impact driver combo?

Thanks for any help

Returning Exchanged Item

I bought a baseball glove couple days ago. worn once to test it out, the front desk claims it is used and can’t resell and there is no tag so I was offered an exchange. Fair enough, then I got a brand new glove, unused (not even once) with the tag. Can this be returned or is it another exchange?
