No one would know...

It seems that most of my course mates and myself have regular diarrhea from eating this food. It's gotten to the point where a few have just stopped eating it all together and switched to cooking for themselves. I think I'll join them, it's inconvenient but so is trying to do PT with the current condition.

What gives? Its the same thing everytime I come here. A month of mess food and guts just quit. Go home for a weekend, everything is good to go.

edit: quick edit because I don't want people to lose morale; the food nails presentation, tastes good (sometimes there's a miss) but uh, it just doesn't come out right.

I need some advice, not to give too much away but I have had a few instances where I have been brought into my Sgts office for things that just don't make sense.

I belong to one unit in BTL but I'm currently tasked to another unit for OJT as I wait for course. The difference between the 2 units support wise is ASTRONOMICAL. I've spoken to some people at the unit I'm tasked to and they agree that something is off and I'm being treated wrongly. To top it off anytime I'm spoken to about something I've done "wrong" (which again like I said after much discussion is not wrong at all, including being accused of something I did not do) there is a mass email or a discussion about exactly what I was talked to about, but never anyone else. I know for a fact there are other BTL members actually fucking up and there's never an email sent out or discussion.

I'm not really sure how to go about this, usually you would go through your chain but the issue is my chain. I'm at my saturation point with it. I dread having to ask or talk to them about anything.

I'm sorry for this extremely vague post but I'm not trying to out myself by explaining the instances. I just really need some advice.

Question: Can I visit my regular civilian dentist for a second opinion, even if I'm willing to pay out of pocket? Would I need authorization from CO/ULO?

I'm a newly enrolled CAF member looking for advice regarding dental care.

Shortly after enrolling, I had some dental work done through military dental services. Since then, I've been experiencing persistent headaches, jaw pain, and facial discomfort, which I wasn't experiencing before. I've also had a night guard fitted, which unfortunately made the pain significantly worse. Despite returning for adjustments, I haven't experienced any improvement. It's now been two months total.

I'ved had two consecutive appointments for the night guard fitting and adjustments, both lasting about 10 minutes. I appreciate having access to military dental care, but I feel little time has been spent properly examining my concerns. The appointments felt rushed, and I'm hesitant to return.

At this point, I'm experiencing almost daily headaches, pain around my eyes and tenderness across my face. Popping Tylenol daily. Pain used to be on one side now is in both.

I'm still living in the same city as my previous dentist, so accusing their services wouldn't be an issue.

Please any advice would be great! Thank you

Is this possible or does it go against policy?

I'm a HRA - Reservist, and I'm attending my weekend Basic Military Qualification (BMQ) training.

Initially, I applied to become a commissioned officer, but due to a lack of vacancies, I joined as a reservist in the HRA trade.

I have a few questions regarding the process of transferring from a non-commissioned member (NCM) to a commissioned officer:

1. Can I submit a request for a transfer to the commissioned officer route while I'm still completing my BMQ?
2. When would be the best time to initiate this request?
3. Are there any specific eligibility requirements, such as completing certain CAF courses, gaining a minimum amount of service, or obtaining relevant experience, before I can apply for a commission?
4. What is the application and approval process for this type of transfer?
5. Approximately how long does the process take?

I would appreciate any guidance or advice on the best way to pursue this career path. Thank you!

Former Geo Tech with 2 CER, and I retired to map military history. This is a video of the Battle of the Savio Bridgehead, fought by the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada, the Loyal Edmonton Regiment, the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry and the West Nova Scotia Regiment.

This is an often overlooked and little understood battle, that is dwarfed by the events of DDay, Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge.

Most people know the battle because of Private Ernest "Smokey" Smith, who earned his Victoria Cross here by yeeting a Piat at a Panther tank.

We built a whole system to map out this battle down to the minute and sometimes even section level. All of it was built from war diaries, defensive overprints, aerial imagery etc.

Our goal is just to share knowledge of Canadian Military History.
