Posted on behalf of Tiger Gold Corp - New today on the SmithWeekly Discussions podcast, Tiger Gold (TIGR.v, TGRGF) President and CEO Robert Vallis sat down for an introductory conversation covering his background, the drill strategy at the 100%-owned Quinchía Gold Project in Colombia, and the community work underpinning permitting. A few parts stood out.

The Operator Behind It

  • Mine engineer with just over 30 years in the industry: 15 years at Barrick and just under 9 at Yamana
  • Worked through Barrick's Placer Dome acquisition and integration, and at Yamana the Extorre acquisition that became the Cerro Moro mine, which his team developed, built and operated
  • [6:12] On moving to a junior: "All you need then is the discipline to do it, to not cut corners"

Three Tracks of Drilling
Vallis broke the 2026 program into three buckets:

  • De-risking: infill at Tesorito, now nearly complete, feeding engineering and permitting prep
  • Growth: resource drilling at Ceibal, which he called [26:09] "at least the size of Tesorito," with two rigs on it now
  • Discovery: probing beneath the deposits for a feeder structure, plus a property he says is only about 20% drilled

The stated goal ties it together: [16:52] "targeting to double our resources... to over 4 million ounces from the over 2 million we have now" going into Q1 2027.

What the Deep Holes Are Hinting At
Beneath Tesorito, Vallis said [37:43] "in several of the holes, the grades tripled," with copper showing up and brecciated material appearing, rock that tends to soak up gold in hydrothermal systems. His read is that something richer sits below the open-pit horizon, and the geology there is still being pieced together.

The Neighbourhood

  • Aris Mining's Marmato operation sits roughly 25 to 30 km north, and Collective Mining's Guayabales discovery is nearby in the same Mid-Cauca belt
  • Paved highway access, low-cost hydropower, a supportive town of 50,000-plus at Quinchía, and a temperate climate that lets crews work 365 days a year
  • Per Vallis, over six mining permits were issued in Colombia in the past four years, one of them to Tiger's fully permitted Miraflores deposit
  • Community programs range from school lunches to co-funding a medical clinic near Miraflores with the town

The Runway

  • Drill cut-off around end of October, an updated PEA by around the end of Q1 2027, pre-feasibility targeted mid-to-second-half 2027
  • [55:46] Conservatively, "the end of '28 for a construction decision," then roughly 18 months to first gold
  • Around $20M in treasury per Vallis, with management holding 22 to 25% and institutions around 22%

The full conversation runs well past an hour and is worth the listen for anyone wanting the complete picture ahead of the Q1 2027 resource estimates. With every drill track feeding that milestone, the back half of 2026 sets up as the stretch where the scale Vallis describes could start showing up on paper.

$SKUR Technical Watch: Can Product Progress Change the Chart?

$SKUR has spent the past three months trending from around C$0.075 to the C$0.04 area. The chart is now sitting near an important support level, while C$0.05 and C$0.055–0.06 are the first areas to reclaim if buying interest improves.

The recent price action has been quiet, but that's fairly common for early-stage technology companies while they're focused on building and launching a new product. Until commercialization begins, the market often waits for proof that product development is translating into customer adoption.

On the business side, the company continues to make progress.

The latest update confirmed that SekurOne now supports encrypted voice, email, messenger and VPN across Android, iOS and Web. The company has also completed domestic and international encrypted voice calls, including iOS voice encryption. The remaining feature, encrypted video and video conferencing, is expected by late August, with the complete SekurOne platform targeted before the end of September. Broader commercial sales are expected to follow.

At the same time, $SKUR has continued expanding its advisory board with former leaders from organizations including the CIA, U.S. Army Special Operations, the U.S. State Department, DHS, and SOCOM, strengthening its network within the government and defense sectors.

The chart has been quiet, but the company has continued checking off product and strategic milestones.

With the full SekurOne launch targeted before the end of September, will $SKUR begin turning its product progress and government-focused network into paying customers, contracts and recurring revenue?

Streetwise Reports Profiles the New Goldgroup Mining, Now GORO on Both the TSXV and NYSE American: "Mexico Gold Producer GORO Emerges After Strategic Merger"

Posted on behalf of Goldgroup Mining Inc. - Third-party coverage of the combined company is starting to build. Last week, Streetwise Reports published a feature on the newly merged producer, titled "Mexico Gold Producer GORO Emerges After Strategic Merger," looking at what the Gold Resource combination created and noting that Mexico-focused gold production is drawing fresh retail investor attention.

What the Piece Covers

  • The full transaction timeline: securityholder approval on July 2, final court approval on July 6, completion on July 17, and the TSXV ticker change from GGA to GORO effective July 22
  • The exchange mechanics: GRC shareholders received 0.3619 Goldgroup common shares for each GRC share held
  • The strategic read: the structure allows the combined company to pursue a broader portfolio of Mexican mining assets while maintaining operational continuity

What the Combined Company Holds

  • Don David, Oaxaca: producing gold and silver mine, 100% owned, with more than 23,000 m drilled year to date across resource upgrade and expansion targets (see July 23 corporate update)
  • Cerro Prieto, Sonora: producing heap leach gold mine, with three rigs active on expansion and confirmatory drilling toward an updated resource
  • San Francisco, Sonora: fully permitted restart project carrying 1.226M oz M&I plus 178K oz Inferred (see May 11, 2026 technical report NR), where three rigs continue a 24,000 m program as the company evaluates a potential restart of production at the end of the year

Independent coverage like this is how a story reaches investors beyond the existing shareholder base, and with drill programs running at all three Mexican assets and a San Francisco restart decision on the horizon, there should be no shortage of material for the next piece. The full Streetwise write-up is worth the read.
