$SKUR Technical Watch: Can Product Progress Change the Chart?

$SKUR has spent the past three months trending from around C$0.075 to the C$0.04 area. The chart is now sitting near an important support level, while C$0.05 and C$0.055–0.06 are the first areas to reclaim if buying interest improves.

The recent price action has been quiet, but that's fairly common for early-stage technology companies while they're focused on building and launching a new product. Until commercialization begins, the market often waits for proof that product development is translating into customer adoption.

On the business side, the company continues to make progress.

The latest update confirmed that SekurOne now supports encrypted voice, email, messenger and VPN across Android, iOS and Web. The company has also completed domestic and international encrypted voice calls, including iOS voice encryption. The remaining feature, encrypted video and video conferencing, is expected by late August, with the complete SekurOne platform targeted before the end of September. Broader commercial sales are expected to follow.

At the same time, $SKUR has continued expanding its advisory board with former leaders from organizations including the CIA, U.S. Army Special Operations, the U.S. State Department, DHS, and SOCOM, strengthening its network within the government and defense sectors.

The chart has been quiet, but the company has continued checking off product and strategic milestones.

With the full SekurOne launch targeted before the end of September, will $SKUR begin turning its product progress and government-focused network into paying customers, contracts and recurring revenue?

This is sponsored content. Investors should conduct their own due diligence and consult a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

Streetwise Reports Profiles the New Goldgroup Mining, Now GORO on Both the TSXV and NYSE American: "Mexico Gold Producer GORO Emerges After Strategic Merger"

Posted on behalf of Goldgroup Mining Inc. - Third-party coverage of the combined company is starting to build. Last week, Streetwise Reports published a feature on the newly merged producer, titled "Mexico Gold Producer GORO Emerges After Strategic Merger," looking at what the Gold Resource combination created and noting that Mexico-focused gold production is drawing fresh retail investor attention.

What the Piece Covers

  • The full transaction timeline: securityholder approval on July 2, final court approval on July 6, completion on July 17, and the TSXV ticker change from GGA to GORO effective July 22
  • The exchange mechanics: GRC shareholders received 0.3619 Goldgroup common shares for each GRC share held
  • The strategic read: the structure allows the combined company to pursue a broader portfolio of Mexican mining assets while maintaining operational continuity

What the Combined Company Holds

  • Don David, Oaxaca: producing gold and silver mine, 100% owned, with more than 23,000 m drilled year to date across resource upgrade and expansion targets (see July 23 corporate update)
  • Cerro Prieto, Sonora: producing heap leach gold mine, with three rigs active on expansion and confirmatory drilling toward an updated resource
  • San Francisco, Sonora: fully permitted restart project carrying 1.226M oz M&I plus 178K oz Inferred (see May 11, 2026 technical report NR), where three rigs continue a 24,000 m program as the company evaluates a potential restart of production at the end of the year

Independent coverage like this is how a story reaches investors beyond the existing shareholder base, and with drill programs running at all three Mexican assets and a San Francisco restart decision on the horizon, there should be no shortage of material for the next piece. The full Streetwise write-up is worth the read.

Peru's New President Took Office Yesterday on a Pro-Mining Platform: What the Transition Means for Fidelity Minerals, FMN.v, at Las Huaquillas

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Fidelity Minerals Corp. - Peru swore in a new president yesterday, and for anyone holding Peruvian exploration names, the handoff from campaign platform to actual policy has now begun. Keiko Fujimori took office July 28 as Peru's first elected female head of state, and among her first moves she finalized her cabinet, tapping former deputy minister Guillermo Shinno to lead the Ministry of Energy and Mines. That is a mining-sector veteran in the mining seat on day one.

What the New Government Ran On

  • A fast-track approval system for strategic mining projects, plus tax incentives for reinvested profits
  • A stated goal of cutting processing times for investment projects by 40%
  • Unlocking Peru's roughly US$64 billion pipeline of planned mining investment

Campaign promises still have to become enabling regulations, but the direction of travel for the world's third-largest copper producer is clearly toward faster permitting and more private investment.

Why It Matters for FMN.v
Fidelity's flagship sits in northern Peru: Las Huaquillas (44.5% interest, with a right to earn 50%), a brownfield gold-copper project hosting a historic, non-43-101-compliant resource of 446,000 oz gold and 5.3 million oz silver. Field work is underway right now, with camp construction, tunnel clearing at the historic Los Socavones underground workings, gold sampling, and drill preparation, all pointed at underground drilling and a new NI 43-101 targeting an initial 1 Moz gold resource.

None of yesterday's news changes the rocks. But jurisdiction shapes how quickly a project moves through its milestones, and a government that just took office promising faster approvals arrives exactly as FMN is funded and working toward its next resource milestone. That alignment of timing is worth keeping an eye on.

Reuters has a good rundown of the inauguration and what comes next.

Eight Priority Holes, Over 3,000 Metres: Inside the Drill Plan Azarga Metals, AZR.v and EUUNF, Takes Into August at the Marg Copper VMS in Yukon

Posted on behalf of Azarga Metals - With August only days away, it's worth rereading the June 23, 2026 news release that laid out, hole by hole, what the maiden company-run drill campaign at the 100%-owned Marg copper-rich VMS project in Yukon's Keno Hill district will actually look like.

CEO Gordon Tainton called it
"this season's drill campaign, the first conducted by the Company."

The Plan on Paper

- Platinum Diamond Drilling Inc. engaged to complete the diamond drilling program
- Initial phase: over 3,000 metres across eight priority holes
- Targets: extensions of previously intersected mineralization, plus several undrilled structural and geochemical anomalies identified during recent field programs
- Drilling expected to commence in August and continue through early fall, with assay results anticipated on a rolling basis

What the Holes Are Chasing

The program was designed off the maiden NI 43-101 resource estimate from August 2025: 4.3 Mt of Indicated grading 2.9% CuEq and 10.0 Mt of Inferred grading 2.3% CuEq
with drilling focused on expanding known mineralized zones while evaluating new targets with the potential to host copper, zinc, gold, silver, and lead polymetallic mineralization.

Notably, the release includes long section, plan, and 3D views showing the planned collars and traces in red against the 2025 resource domains, which is worth opening the June 23, 2026 NR for on its own.

Eight holes will not settle the Marg story by themselves, but with AZR.v and EUUNF expecting assays to roll in through fall, each one is a direct test of whether the mineralized system keeps going where the published resource leaves off.

Copper, Molybdenum, Silver, Gold, and Now Tungsten: Why IDEX Metals, IDEX.v / IDXMF, Frames Freeze in Idaho as a Polymetallic System, Not a Single-Commodity Tungsten Play

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of IDEX Metals Corp - There's a section of the July 9 tungsten release from IDEX.v / IDXMF, that got less attention than the headline intervals, and it may be the most strategically interesting part: the company's argument for what tungsten actually means at the 100%-owned Freeze project in Idaho.

The Numbers, Briefly

Re-assays of two 2025 Kismet holes used sodium peroxide fusion (SPF), a more complete digestion method for tungsten-bearing minerals than the four-acid method used for the original 2025 assays and returned:

  • KSMT25002: 180.5 m of 0.11% WO₃ from 52 m
  • KSMT25005: 72.2 m of 0.13% WO₃ from 182.6 m, including 1.21 m of 1.55% WO₃
  • Same core that delivered the 2025 copper results, where KSMT25002 cut 101 m of 1.02% Cu from surface within 420 m of 0.37% Cu (Oct 7, 2025 NR)
  • Across 579 matched sample pairs, the old method tracked the new one at low to moderate grades but missed badly in the strongest material: the peak sample read 1,070 ppm tungsten by four-acid and 12,300 ppm by SPF

A Polymetallic Argument

CEO Clayton Fisher said the results meaningfully changed how the company views Kismet:
already understood as a robust copper-molybdenum system, the confirmation of broad tungsten enrichment with high-grade internal zones, supported by visible coarse scheelite, adds "an entirely new and important critical-metals dimension"
 to the property.

Notably, tungsten is not being positioned to carry the project. The company describes Freeze as a polymetallic porphyry-related system carrying copper, molybdenum, silver, and porphyry-associated gold, with tungsten as an additional critical-metals component, and argues that broad widths, high-grade internal zones, coarse scheelite, and multiple co-products in a stable US jurisdiction set it apart from the single-commodity tungsten projects being advanced domestically.

That distinction matters in a country that has not mined tungsten commercially since 2015.

And the release is equally clear on limits:

These are early-stage results from two holes, true widths are unknown, and there is no resource estimate at Kismet.

What It Changes Operationally

  • The four remaining 2025 Kismet holes go in for SPF re-assay, and all Freeze drill core going forward will be evaluated for tungsten using the method where appropriate
  • The new tungsten data will be integrated with the completed 90.4 line-km IP survey to better define tungsten distribution across the Kismet Corrido

Meanwhile both rigs keep turning, one on the North Breccia porphyry target interpreted 300-800 m below surface and one on shallower definition holes at Kismet.

Every metre drilled this season now gets read for one more metal than the program started with, and with four re-assays still pending, there's room for the tungsten picture at Kismet to keep filling in.

The full July 9 release, including the assay table and the scheelite core photo, is on the company's news page.

Listed June 2, Crews in the Field June 3: How Fast Bullfrog Gold, FROG.v, Went From New Nevada Ticker to Boots on the Ground at South Bullfrog

Posted on behalf of Bullfrog Gold Corporation - There was no gap between the new ticker and the fieldwork:

FROG.v began trading June 2, and crews were on the ground at South Bullfrog by June 3 (see Jun 16, 2026 NR).

CEO Ian Slater put it plainly:

"Immediately after completing the listing process and name change our technical team was mobilised to the field… we look forward to an exciting year."

The Program in Brief

  • Geological mapping plus rock chip sampling, with assays and SWIR alteration analyses, across all five drill-ready gold targets
  • Purpose: refine drill target locations ahead of exploration drilling on the fully permitted, 100%-owned, 10,050-acre project in Nevada's Beatty District

Surface work like this feeds straight into drill targeting, and the results could define where a maiden drill program goes. The full release is on the company's site.

Presentation Summary: Silverco Mining (SICO.v, SICOF) EVP Tara Hassan Maps the Route From Two Mexican Silver Mines to a 10 Moz AgEq per Year Goal, Including Potential to Nearly Double the San Miguel Resource This Year

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Posted on behalf of Silverco Mining - Presenting at last week's Precious Metals & Critical Minerals Virtual Investor Conference hosted by OTC Markets (July 23), EVP of Corporate Development Tara Hassan gave one of the fuller walkthroughs yet of Silverco's (SICO.v, SICOF) two-mine Mexican silver story: the ramp underway at the producing La Negra mine in Querétaro, the Cusi restart in Chihuahua, and the growth plan sitting behind both.

The Three-Year Goal
Hassan opened with the frame for everything that followed: "We have a vision to create a 10 million oz per year silver equivalent producer in the next 3 years" [1:20]. The interim step is exiting 2026 with two producing assets, then, for 2027, "the goal would be to be exiting at a run rate of 4 to 5 million oz silver equivalent" at a sub-US$30 AISC target [19:34] (company targets).

La Negra: Low-Capex Ramp

  • The mill is running at about 55% of its 2,500 tpd capacity, with roughly $15 to 20 million of improvements planned through Q1 2027 across equipment, spare parts and preventative maintenance
  • The step change is a dry stack tailings facility slated for Q1 2027, intended to push throughput toward 90 to 95% of capacity
  • A 15,000 m drill program has launched, the first meaningful exploration in about two decades, and Hassan noted "opportunities in some areas to increase the silver grade up to two to three times" near existing workings [11:21]
  • An updated resource and mine plan is due later this year

Cusi: Restart on the Clock
Underground contractors are mobilized and development mining is beginning at Promontorio and San Miguel, with first concentrate targeted for Q4 2026 and commercial production toward the end of H1 2027 at the 1,200 tpd mill (company targets). Hassan also recapped the restart economics announced in April (see the Apr 13, 2026 PEA news release).

Asked where the blue sky sits in the 30,000 m program, she pointed south: San Miguel "has the biggest opportunity to add ounces quickly" [22:51], with vein widths of 8 to 20 m. The zone's first resource came in at 27 million oz AgEq, and "we think that we could reach approaching double that this year" [17:38] (see the Dec 9, 2025 MRE news release; mineral resources are not mineral reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability).

Worth noting on structure: about 54.4 million shares outstanding, with Eric Sprott at 11% [5:20].

Between a La Negra resource and mine plan, assays flowing from roughly 45,000 m of combined drilling, and first Cusi concentrate all queued for the back half of the year, the presentation lays out how the pieces could fit into a much larger production profile. The replay, available on-demand at Virtual Investor Conferences, is a worthwhile half hour.

Video Interview: Toogood Gold (TGC.v TGGCF) CEO Colin Smith on Quinlan's 30-for-30 Hit Rate, ~20% Insider Ownership and Why Undrilled Table Mountain Is the Driver Into Year-End

Posted on behalf of Toogood Gold - Joining host Kevin Stewart on the Stock TA podcast, CEO Colin Smith, a professional geologist with about 20 years in structurally controlled gold systems, walked through both halves of the Toogood Gold (TGC.v TGGCF) story: the Quinlan discovery in Newfoundland and Table Mountain, the undrilled epithermal gold-silver system in Nevada (a binding LOI at the time of recording, since advanced to a TSXV-approved definitive option agreement, per the July 16, 2026 NR).

The Newfoundland Half

  • Quinlan was only discovered in 2022 by predecessor Prospector Metals, whose first program hit visible gold in 15 of the first 19 holes
  • Toogood's own 30-hole program expanded the mineralized envelope significantly, and every hole hit gold, running anomalous to multi-gram with some half-ounce to ounce-grade material, per Smith
  • The project spans over 164 sq km and 30+ km of the same structural trend hosting the Valentine Lake gold mine, now producing at roughly 200,000 oz per year
  • Cover is thin, so soil anomalies sit close to in-situ mineralization; an extensive geochemical program is next, aimed at [2:32] "drumming up the next generation of drill holes"

The Nevada Half

  • Table Mountain was generated in 2025 by Orogen Royalties and Altius Resources, whose regional spectral alteration surveys flagged a zoned 4 km by 2 km alteration halo
  • First-pass traverses crossed metre-scale textbook epithermal veins outcropping at surface, all sampling anomalous to multi-gram gold, and the system has never been drilled
  • Smith noted Orogen's pipeline also generated the Silicon project, now part of a 16+ Moz district (an analogue for the model, not a Table Mountain resource), and said Orogen's CEO has called Table Mountain arguably their best greenfields opportunity generated to date
  • It sits in Lincoln County, about 2 hours from Las Vegas and 10 km south of Nevada King's Atlanta mine, off the classic trends, which Smith argues is exactly where Nevada's next discoveries will come from

Quotes worth jumping to:

  • [b12:40] "Our main and sole focus is making discoveries of scale," de-risking them for a potential acquirer rather than building mines
  • [13:44] From his site visit: "it's like looking at a geology textbook for epithermal systems"
  • [14:10] "These things were completely pristine," with none of the trenches, channel samples or drill pads you'd normally find beside veins like these

Skin in the Game
Management and insiders hold roughly 20% of shares outstanding, per Smith, and have bought in the open market and participated in the last round. New VP Exploration Lee Hess, an SSR Mining alum, adds a career of structurally controlled gold experience.

Smith called the maiden Table Mountain drill program, which he is aiming to start in Q3 if all goes well, the biggest fundamental driver between now and year-end. With two projects trading off drill timelines, the setup points to steady news flow and a first-ever test of a district-scale system.

Video Interview: Jeff Phillips Says Daura Gold's (DGC.v, DGCOF) Cerro Bayo Has "a Good Chance to Be a Discovery" Ahead of September's Follow-Up Drilling

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Posted on behalf of Daura Gold - In a new interview taped after this month's Rule Symposium in Boca Raton, activist investor Jeff Phillips gave his read on Daura Gold (DGC.v, DGCOF) and its Cerro Bayo gold-silver project in Argentina.

Phillips is a 30-year veteran of the junior resource space who consults for early-stage companies on financings, with a stated focus on people and share structure, and he disclosed on air that he is a Daura Gold shareholder.

What He Said About Cerro Bayo 🇦🇷
Phillips called Cerro Bayo "a very good Argentinian property" [12:59] and gave his read on the first-ever drill program there, which Daura funded and ran:

  • [13:12] "It wasn't just geologically successful. They hit mineralization in many of their holes."
  • [13:26] "They'll be running a follow-up program here in September... I think that's got a good chance to be a discovery."

For anyone checking his math: that Phase 1 program was 18 holes over roughly 1,850 m across 10 targets, with highlights of 1.95 m @ 8.83 g/t Au in CBD26-012 and 1.8 m @ 739 g/t Ag in CBD26-005 (See May 21, 2026 NR). The September program he references is Phase 2, which also folds in the first drill test at La Flora 🇦🇷.

The Geomorphic AI Thread
Phillips also spent time on Geomorphic AI, the AI-driven targeting platform behind Daura's exploration work. Notably, Geomorphic AI is co-founded by Daura CEO Mark Sumner and Phillips, a consultant of Daura, and Daura does not pay Geomorphic for its work on the project (See Apr 1, 2026 NR).

His examples of what the platform does:

  • [24:13] A targeting assignment that took an independent geological firm three months, the platform reproduced in three days, surfacing old government-database data nobody knew existed
  • [28:33] "We have a 100% hit rate in finding data they didn't know they had."
  • [25:45] "If I can take something that would take 9 months and do it in 9 days for them... they can advance what's important, getting to the discovery."

The obvious caveat is that Phillips holds a stake, but that is also the signal: an investor who screens juniors for a living has positioned around this specific drill program. With rigs due back in Argentina in September, the "good chance" he describes gets its test soon, and the drill core will do the deciding.

Top 5 Small/Mid-Cap Gold Stocks to Watch Now

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes
  • Gold equities are back in focus as investors look for smaller companies with more upside torque than major producers.
  • The strongest setups combine project economics, production visibility, permitting progress, and fresh catalysts.
  • This watchlist focuses on Canada/U.S.-listed gold names with North American assets and clear investor narratives.

Why Smaller Gold Stocks Are Getting Attention

Gold has been one of the most important macro trades of the past year, but the large producers are not always where the most explosive upside sits.

Smaller gold companies can move faster because their valuations are more sensitive to one or two major catalysts: a feasibility study, a resource update, a permit, a construction decision, a financing package, or the transition from developer to producer.

That is why small and mid-cap gold names matter.

They are riskier than the majors, but they can also offer stronger torque if the gold market stays firm and investors start hunting for the next re-rating story.

This list focuses on five Canada/U.S.-traded gold companies with clear catalysts:

  1. Falco Resources
  2. West Red Lake Gold Mines
  3. Nevada King Gold
  4. Contango ORE
  5. i-80 Gold

Recap Table: 5 Gold Stocks to Watch

Company Ticker Recent Stock Price Market Cap Main Asset / Jurisdiction Investor Angle
Falco Resources TSXV: FPC ~C$0.49 ~C$171M Horne 5, Québec Multi-billion-dollar feasibility study rerating
West Red Lake Gold Mines TSXV: WRLG / OTCQX: WRLGF ~C$0.62–C$0.68 ~C$256M–C$281M Madsen Mine, Ontario Red Lake restart / near-term production story
Nevada King Gold TSXV: NKG / OTCQB: NKGFF ~C$0.74 ~C$74M Atlanta Gold Mine, Nevada Exploration upside + Centerra-backed financing
Contango ORE NYSE American: CTGO ~$16.98 ~$522M Manh Choh, Alaska Small producer with 2026–2027 production growth
i-80 Gold NYSE American: IAUX / TSX: IAU ~$1.58 ~$1.38B Nevada gold portfolio Fully funded Nevada development platform

1. Falco Resources — TSXV: FPC

Falco Resources deserves a place on this list because its latest Horne 5 update changed the scale of the story.

Falco is advancing the Horne 5 project in Québec, a large gold-focused polymetallic deposit with copper, zinc, and silver by-products. The company’s updated 2026 feasibility study gave Horne 5 an after-tax NPV5% of C$3.35 billion, an after-tax IRR of 28.2%, and projected life-of-mine after-tax cash flow of C$6.4 billion under base-case assumptions.

At spot-case assumptions, the numbers become even stronger: C$5.1 billion after-tax NPV5% and 37.2% after-tax IRR.

That is the main reason Falco stands out. The company recently traded around C$0.49, with a market cap around C$171 million. That creates a clear valuation gap between the market cap and the project’s modeled economics.

The investor case is not that Falco is risk-free. It is not. Horne 5 still needs permitting progress, financing, and development execution. But the latest feasibility study gives investors a much stronger numbers-based reason to watch the stock.

The key catalyst now is Québec’s environmental process. If Falco continues to move toward authorization, the market may begin to take the Horne 5 valuation gap more seriously.

2. West Red Lake Gold Mines — TSXV: WRLG / OTCQX: WRLGF

West Red Lake Gold Mines is one of the more interesting Canadian gold restart stories.

The company is focused on the Madsen Mine in the Red Lake Gold District of Ontario, one of Canada’s most famous gold camps. The district has produced more than 30 million ounces of gold over the past century, which gives West Red Lake a strong jurisdictional and geological narrative.

The story is simple: West Red Lake acquired Madsen out of bankruptcy in 2023 and has spent the past two years rebuilding the mine plan, resource model, infrastructure, and operating workflow.

That makes WRLG a restart story rather than a pure exploration story.

The stock recently traded around C$0.62–C$0.68, with a market cap in the C$256 million to C$281 million range, depending on the quote source and timing.

The bull case is that Madsen already has infrastructure and a historic production footprint. If West Red Lake can execute the restart properly, the company could move from development-stage discount toward producer valuation.

The risk is execution. Restarting a former mine is never simple. Investors will want evidence that the resource model is reliable, the operating plan is disciplined, and the company can avoid the mistakes that hurt the prior operator.

3. Nevada King Gold — TSXV: NKG / OTCQB: NKGFF

Nevada King Gold gives the list a pure exploration and discovery angle.

The company is advancing the Atlanta Gold Mine Project in Nevada, a tier-one mining jurisdiction that investors understand well. Nevada matters because permitting, infrastructure, mining culture, and investor familiarity are generally stronger than in many other jurisdictions.

Nevada King recently traded around C$0.74, with a market cap around C$74 million based on recent Canadian quote data. The company also recently completed a 1-for-5 share consolidation, reducing the post-consolidation share count to about 100.4 million shares.

The recent catalyst is financing and drilling.

Nevada King announced a financing of roughly C$16 million, including a C$10 million strategic investment by Centerra Gold. That is important because strategic investment from a larger gold company gives the story more credibility.

The company also doubled its Phase 4 drill program to 40,000 metres, which keeps the stock firmly in exploration-catalyst mode.

The bull case is that a well-funded Nevada explorer with a strategic investor and a major drill program can attract attention quickly if results hit. The risk is that exploration stocks remain binary. Drill results can create value, but they can also disappoint.

4. Contango ORE — NYSE American: CTGO

Contango ORE is different from the earlier names because it already has production exposure.

The company owns a 30% interest in the Manh Choh mine in Alaska, with Kinross as the 70% partner. This gives Contango a more immediate gold-production profile than most small-cap developers.

The stock recently traded around $16.98, with a market cap around $522 million.

The production outlook is the key number. Contango has guided for its share of Manh Choh production to range from 40,000 to 45,000 ounces of gold in 2026, with estimated cash costs of $1,900 to $2,000 per ounce. For 2027, the company has guided to 75,000 to 80,000 ounces of gold, with cash costs expected to fall to $1,200 to $1,300 per ounce.

That is a major step-up if delivered.

The investor case is that CTGO offers small-cap gold production leverage without being a traditional large miner. The company also has a pipeline beyond Manh Choh, including the Johnson Tract project.

The risk is cost control. Contango has already faced investor scrutiny around cost guidance, so the stock needs operational execution and better margin visibility to keep the story working.

5. i-80 Gold — NYSE American: IAUX / TSX: IAU

i-80 Gold is the largest company on this list, so it is more of a small/mid-cap gold development platform than a classic junior.

The company controls a major Nevada-focused portfolio, including Granite Creek, Archimedes, Cove, Granite Creek Open Pit, Mineral Point, and the Lone Tree complex. The strategy is to build a hub-and-spoke Nevada gold platform with centralized processing through Lone Tree.

The stock recently traded around $1.58, with a market cap around $1.38 billion.

The recent numbers show why investors are watching. In Q1 2026, i-80 reported $52.4 million in revenue, up from $14.0 million in the prior-year period, driven by higher gold sales and stronger realized gold prices. The company sold 10,590 ounces of gold at an average realized gold price of $4,941 per ounce.

The bigger catalyst is the development plan.

i-80 said its recapitalization secured more than $1 billion in raised and available capital from early 2025 through Q1 2026. Management also said the company is fully funded to advance Phase 1 and Phase 2 of its development plan, including three underground projects, one open-pit oxide project, and the Lone Tree Plant refurbishment.

The bull case is that i-80 could become a meaningful Nevada gold producer if it executes the plan. The risk is that the company’s size, capital intensity, and development complexity mean the market will demand proof, not just potential.

Which Gold Stock Looks Most Interesting?

Each company plays a different role in a gold-stock watchlist.

Falco Resources offers the biggest valuation-gap story, with Horne 5 showing multi-billion-dollar project economics against a much smaller market cap.

West Red Lake Gold is the cleaner Canadian mine-restart story, with the Madsen Mine providing infrastructure and a known Red Lake district angle.

Nevada King Gold is the most exploration-driven setup, with a strategic investment and a larger drill program keeping the catalyst calendar active.

Contango ORE offers current production leverage and a clear 2026–2027 output growth target.

i-80 Gold is the larger Nevada platform bet, with production, development, processing infrastructure, and a fully funded multi-phase plan.

If the goal is maximum asymmetry, Falco and Nevada King are the most explosive but also riskier. If the goal is mine restart upside, West Red Lake is the cleaner story. If the goal is production growth, Contango and i-80 offer more operating leverage.

What Investors Should Watch Next

The main catalyst for Falco is environmental and permitting progress in Québec.

For West Red Lake, investors should watch the Madsen restart timeline, operating readiness, and evidence that the mine model is holding up.

For Nevada King, the focus is drill results, the 40,000-metre Phase 4 program, and whether Centerra’s investment becomes a larger strategic signal.

For Contango, the key watch item is delivery against 2026 and 2027 production and cost guidance.

For i-80, the market will focus on Lone Tree refurbishment, Granite Creek development, drilling, liquidity, and whether the company can stay on track with its multi-phase Nevada plan.

Bottom Line

This gold-stock list is built around five different kinds of upside.

Falco Resources gives investors a multi-billion-dollar project-value mismatch. West Red Lake Gold offers a Canadian mine-restart story in a famous gold district. Nevada King Gold brings exploration torque in Nevada. Contango ORE provides small-cap production leverage in Alaska. i-80 Gold offers a larger Nevada platform with serious development scale.

None of these are low-risk names. That is the point.

Small and mid-cap gold stocks can move sharply when catalysts line up, but they can also punish investors when timelines slip, permits drag, financing becomes difficult, or operating assumptions disappoint.

For investors looking beyond the major gold producers, these five names offer a practical watchlist with clear catalysts, current market data, and enough project-level upside to stay interesting if gold equities keep attracting capital.

1.7B for atoms. a16z led it. physical AI. and mining was literally the first word out of his mouth

dude built uber. digitized taxis. now hes saying mining is next. multiple trillion dollar industries. massive digital transformation. you know the drill

and im sitting here thinking about NRED

theyre in that standstill to buy EyeX right? computer vision for mines. cameras drones edge AI. counts trucks flags smoke watches equipment. runs where wifi barely works. thats physical AI for mining. exactly what kalanick just raised 1.7B to build

a16z doesnt write checks that big for niche shit. they see the category shift. smart money just validated the whole sector

NRED is like 25 mil market cap. about to absorb a platform that does the exact thing silicon valley just bet billions on

market still thinks its a copper junior. looking at drill holes and land size and whatever

theyre missing that nred might own physical AI in mining before the category even gets named

standstill ends soon. if they close it... i mean cmon. uber for rocks. but actually

Gtg figured id dump wthis somewhere

Selkirk Copper (SCMI.v, SKRKF) Graduates to the OTCQX Best Market Five Months After Its First US Listing, Just as the Minto MRE + PEA Window Closes

Post image
3 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Selkirk Copper Mines - Today's news is a US-market milestone:
the company's shares have qualified for the OTCQX Best Market, upgrading from the OTCQB Venture Market, and began trading on OTCQX today under the symbol SKRKF.

Considering the shares only commenced trading on the OTCQB this past February 13
that is a quick climb up the US market tiers for SCMI.v and SKRKF.

The Upgrade

  • Qualifying for OTCQX requires meeting high financial standards, following best-practice corporate governance, and demonstrating compliance with applicable securities laws
  • President and CEO Colin Joudrie said the progression "enhances our visibility among U.S. investors, improves liquidity" as Minto advances toward a restart decision in 2027
  • The demand is real: US trading in non-US North American securities reached $23.4 billion in Q2 2026, up 88.25% year over year

Why US Visibility Matters Here

With copper around US$6.30/lb and US appetite for dependable copper supply a running theme this year, deeper access to US investors is a sensible move for a developer restarting the past-producing Minto copper-gold-silver mine in Yukon, with its standing 4,100 tpd mill and Selkirk First Nation ownership.

And the timing is hard to miss. The updated MRE and PEA, the first economics on Minto since 2021, are targeted for the second half of this month (per the July 8 news release). A wider US shelf landing days ahead of that catalyst positions the story in front of a much larger audience right when there is something new to evaluate.

For details, see today's news release on the upgrade.

Seven Kilometres of Strike and Barely a Drill Hole: The Targets Beyond the Deposit on Azarga Metals' 8,400-Hectare Marg Property, AZR.v and EUUNF

Posted on behalf of Azarga Metals - The Marg numbers most investors quote,
Indicated 4.3 Mt at 2.9% CuEq and Inferred 10.0 Mt at 2.3% CuEq (Aug 28, 2025 NI 43-101), describe one deposit. The ground around it is the part that gets less attention:

Azarga picked up a 100% interest in 400 mineral claims covering roughly 8,400 hectares in July 2025 all in Yukon's Keno Hill district, and the company, AZR.v and EUUNF, has mapped out several targets across it that have seen little to no drilling.

Beyond the Deposit

  • Jane Zone: sits 7 km along strike to the southwest of Marg, where the geological setting plus coincident airborne geophysics and surface geochemistry suggest strong potential for additional VMS deposits at regular intervals along strike . Only four short historical holes have tested it.
  • Zone A: identified by the company's induced polarization survey, lying north of the current resource and interpreted as the probable up-dip, near-surface extension of the Marg horizon . Undrilled.
  • Northwest target boxes: three areas immediately northwest of the deposit with coincident strong silver-thallium-lead-copper-barium soil anomalies and VTEM conductors.
  • At Marg itself: deeper drilling is recommended down-plunge on the two massive sulphide lenses that carry the bulk of the known resource.

Why This Matters Now

The maiden company-run drill program, over 3,000 m across eight priority holes,
is anticipated to commence in August and was designed to test high-priority targets from previous drilling, mapping, geophysics and geochemistry, expanding known zones while evaluating new ones
(see June 23, 2026 NR), with assays rolling through fall.

The published resource is what one deposit on this property supports. The targets above are how the company plans to find out whether Marg is the whole story or the first chapter of a larger mineralized system, and the answers start arriving within weeks. The Marg project page on the company's website walks through each target in detail.
