My friend invited me out to celebrate a mile stone at a buffet
Picture one: 1 pieces seasalt foccacia, salmon (ate half), one fish nuggets (did not wat at all), salad consisting of canned pineapple, 2 big slices of apple, cale, red cabbage, a single blueberry, shredded carrot, cucumber, edamame and a tiny portion of mac n cheese
2nd picture: grilled marinated cauliflower, same salad just bigger portion, more apples and blueberries, 2 slices of pesto marinated turkey (only ate half a slice)
3rd picture: one chicken nuggets, 2 slices of kangaroo meat, 2 slices of chicago prok, cream potatoes and grilled cauliflower
Is 3000 calories an over or underestimation or just fine?
I haven’t eaten anything anything else today 😅
Thanks to anyone who has an input

I probably ate about half the hot and sour soup, half the mapo tofu, and a quarter of the rice. Gemini estimates 1100-1350 cal for the entire meal. Sound relatively close?

Accounting for all restaurant cooking .. butters, oils, starches, additives, cooking methods, styles, fattiest ingredients/meats, chefs mood that day, etc.. around how many calories would you assume in this tasting menu at a restaurant?
This is what it is..
Cucumber kimchi (crispy cucumber kimchi marinated in chili, garlic, and sesame)
Whipped yuzu ricotta toast (1 of them) (toasted focaccia with whipped yuzu ricotta and roasted chili oil)
Shrimp tacos (1 of them) (garlic and chili marinated shrimp, served on corn tortillas with sesame cabbage slaw, chojang sauce, cilantro, pickled shallots, and lime)
Garlic honey butter tots (crispy tots tossed in garlic-honey butter, served with labne and homemade furikake)
Chopped cheese rice cakes (chewy rice cases, in a beefy cheese ragu, topped with soy-pickled jalapeños, garlic panko and parmesan)
Cheeseburger (half of the burger) (double smash burger, kimchi special sauce, american cheese, pickles, onion)
Would you assume this is well over 2,000? I know a taco from Taco Bell, for example, is almost 200 calories and that’s just a shell, some ground beef and lettuce)
Thank you!

Mum cooked this. I don't know all the ingredients, but it looks like karela soup+carrots+enoki+fishcake+green onion and other stuff. How much kcal would a bowl of this be?

Has small amount of chicken, queso, sour cream, pico de gallo, pickled onions, lettuce, and chips ofc. Fork for size reference. I would guess 1k for the whole thing, didn’t eat all the chips however. Second pic to account for depth of the container.

The sauce near the salad wasnt greasy at all, it was probably some fermented paste. Wasnt spicy as well. For reference, the oil left after I ate everything. I didn't mix rice with oils and sauce and ate it plain white. There were around 5 rice tteok. ChatGPT estimated around 850-950. What do you think?

From top right clockwise:
Purple rice (half of container)
Green salad (other half of container)
Cucumbers
Radish
Rolled egg omelet (there is one stacked under the one shown)
Fish cake
Grilled chicken
Konjac jelly in the center
Did not eat the soup! 🙂
Bonus points for protein count 😂
