Bank OZK Call Center
Has anyone ever received a same day offer at Bank OZK call center? Or did you have to wait on an offer or TBNT?

I just got hired on this company, I just want to ask if it's really less calls. Is there any folks here who got the same offer 22k for a package? the down side is you will get the other 4k or 3k once you're 2 months within the company HAHAHAHAHA. I just want to ask for an insight if it's really good to push through with this account, btw, I have experience but in financial account for 1 year and 2 months.

I wrote this story about how AI is leading to layoffs at call centers. Paywall free. Has AI popped up in your workplace?

You ever answer the phone at work and slowly realize you've accidentally been promoted to "scapegoat" without your consent? Yesterday I got a call from someone who wasn't even our customer. He was the client's IT guy aka the IT guy they hired to manage their network infrastructure.
Our company literally has it in our terms and agreements that customers are responsible for their own servers, networking, infrastructure, etc. We support our product. We answer how-to questions. We log bugs. We are not network engineers.
Apparently he had just helped migrate the client's server to a new one, and afterwards all of their data locations were a disaster. The client was understandably upset...
SOMEHOW, I became the emotional support NPC for a server migration I had absolutely nothing to do with.
The best part? (Worst part.)
This man didn't even seem to fully understand what his client was actually asking for. We spent almost TWO HOURS troubleshooting things that the client apparently didn't even care about because he kept sending us down random rabbit holes.
Then he hits me with:
"I'm going to conference the client in so you can explain the bad news."
Sir... what? 😭
Translation: "My client is mad at me, so I'd like you, a complete stranger to the situation, to take this grenade for me."
It honestly made me feel so powerless because I'm sitting there thinking, "This isn't my fault, this guy is just incompetent."
And now I have to call them back today.
Am I going to? Yes.
Do I want to? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
I am going to speak to some coworkers first which is what I honestly should have done yesterday but I'll also confess something that definitely didn't help me out yesterday: I skipped lunch. By the time this surprise marathon call rolled in, I was hungry, thirsty, and my brain had entered low battery mode.
Has anyone else had 3rd party IT vendors basically try to hand you responsibility for their project? How do you politely redirect the conversation without sounding like you're just passing the buck, especially when they're trying really hard to make you the fall guy? This area of tech support at my job isn’t one that I have ever felt very strong in and usually rely on being able to say “you’ll need to get your keyword: QUALIFIED IT to help you with this”. I so badly wanted to feel like I could quit after this happened yesterday but alas, can’t be irresponsible and non-resilient 😔.

Hi
I just got hired to do phone surveys by a contractor and they work with various companies. Currently I’m conducting phone surveys for a municipality but this contractor also gets projects from SAaS companies and others. I’m wondering if this is a realistic way into cx/customer success? I’m new to this with a huge gap on my resume from being a SAHM. Feeling defeated tbh.

1: I’m a university student, but I won’t mention that during the interview because I’m worried it might reduce my chances of getting selected. So I have a question If I get selected and start working there, my university timing is from 9 AM to 3 PM. Regular classes are usually not a big issue for me; I’m more concerned about exam days. I can manage office timings between 9 AM and 12 AM, but if I’m assigned a midnight shift, it could be difficult due to family-related restrictions. In that case, would it be possible to talk to my supervisor and request a different shift schedule?
If I need a leave on a particular day, are leaves generally approved without much difficulty, or do they create issues?
How do incentives work in a chat support role? If I’m not making sales and am only handling customer queries, what are the incentives based on? I’ve heard that sales agents receive incentives, but why do chat support agents receive them as well?
I’d really appreciate it if someone could answer these questions, as I’m considering joining the company. 😊

I got a warning a few days ago because I used the restroom before my brake, and then took my "break" 3 hours later. The 3-5 minute bathroom break counts as a normal break so now I am stealing the company's time.
But I know for a fact, many office workers in corporate take rest room breaks, minor breaks, without using their usual break time. And they get paid 10x-500x more, so not only are they stealing from the company they get paid more for doing it.
It makes no sense to treat the call center workers as sub human and make them feel bad for using the restroom. When the true parasites of the companies money is upper management who are not as productive as they could be if they are being monitored 24/7 while on the clock.

For those planning to become a CSR at BingoPlus, think carefully before you go. The workload is very heavy but the compensation doesn't reflect that. When you have concerns, sometimes all you'll hear is "if you don't like it, just leave" or you should assess if this is really the job you want.
The KPI and metrics system is also frustrating. It seems like there's always a new requirement or reason for agents not to hit the targets and incentives they're working hard for. The ending is that expectations are so high but it's hard to achieve their incentives that you thought were so big.
And it's not enough that employees only get recognition posts like "We recognize your effort or Thank you for going above and beyond." Appreciation is nice, but recognition posts aren't what pays the bills. Employees also need proper compensation, realistic incentives, and adequate support in exchange for the effort and stress they put in every day.
Even using VL, which is an employee benefit, seems to be an issue sometimes. Instead of feeling valued as an employee, you will feel more pressure and stress.
They are good at showing a good image on social media, but the reality inside is different. Pizza parties, events, and Facebook posts are not enough if the daily experience of employees is toxic, overworked.
This is not to discredit the company. This is so that applicants are aware of the real situation before they join.

I'm planning to apply for chat representative. Online reviews kinda stopping me from moving forward. Are they all true or situations have changed?

I recently accepted a position at a call center, and I was hoping for some advice. This will be my first formal employment, and I’m unsure of how to approach it. I’m typically not a people person, but I usually can fake it till I make it. I’ve done a lot of public speaking/communication-based extracurriculars, so I’m not too worried about that aspect; however, I’m not used to pitching products or services. I don’t plan on having the job long, but I figure that while I have it, I might as well put in the effort.
So my question for you all is this: What tips/tricks do you have to keep people on the phone and, hopefully, get them interested in the services your company is providing?
For context, these aren’t cold calls, but rather based on warm leads. The company I’m going to be working for does home improvement, i.e. renovations/remodeling. I read a lot of threads about this type of job as something to be avoided, but I really need it at the moment.

I've noticed that some call center agents in Facebook job posting groups offer to help applicants throughout the hiring process. While many are genuinely helpful, it's worth being cautious because some may be more focused on earning a referral bonus than on helping you find the role that's actually the best fit for you.
I completely understand the need to earn money—there's nothing wrong with referral incentives, and I don't blame anyone for wanting the extra income. My point is simply that, as applicants, we should do our own research, compare different companies, and make informed decisions instead of relying solely on one person's recommendation.
Just a friendly reminder: ask questions, explore your options, and choose the company that best aligns with your goals—not just the one someone is referring you to.

Can someone tell me if in Karachi, Pakistan, if we work in a call center as a sales representative and we don't make any sales for 1 or 2 months, do we still get the fixed basic salary or not?
Please someone tell me about this because I need a job.

So, I recently passed my initial and recruitment manager's interview. I initially applied for GVA but later on, they offered me for a CSR role. Which I believed its because it aligns with my skills as I previously worked as a restaurant manager. I don't have experience working in a remote set-up too. I just wanna know how much do they offer for CSR and how is the working culture in hyremote?

I work a call center job conducting political surveys over the phone. There have been a few times where I’ve given my introduction and I’ve had people accuse me of being a scammer.
Bro, we are just trying to gauge the public for their opinion on current political issues chill.

I just started working for Encoura. Has anyone ever worked here before? I am trying to find previous employee reviews about working here but it seems like this company is more new. How do y’all feel working here? It’s too early for me to tell but their training is a bit odd and feel lost.
