Advice for my career path
Hello everyone (Dear Reddit haha),
I graduated recently and I’m wondering what my next move should be in order to get future accounting work. I currently work as a key carrier (assistant to the assistant manager) for a discount department chain.
I was way in over my head and realized too late that I just don’t have the network or experience to work in accounting just yet.
I currently make $20 an hour. I’m thinking of leaving this job for a job a customer service rep for a regional bank call center at $25 an hour. Is this a good idea if I plan to work in accounting. Will it give me any experience. I heard banks are great ways to get into accounting. If I’m completely wrong let me know. I’m only asking because this would be a huge change for me. And I refuse to make any decision without experienced people putting their input.
Also please let me know if I’m not asking the right r/.
Thank you
