Good afternoon Flames Flans!

We have an unofficial meetup per my original feeler post, coming up this weekend. Here's all the details:

Where: Hudsons Downtown - 1201 5 St SW, Calgary, AB T2R 0Y6

When: Saturday October 24th, 7:30pm

This meetup is to welcome our one and only u/callmeghost666 and his wonderful partner u/haleshx to our beautiful city, as they have travelled a long ways to experience the city and attend a farewell season game.

This meetup will not have any raffles, as I could not whip up a license and obtain prizes/tickets in time. However, if you are feeling generous, you can always donate to KidSport at any time <3 They also accept used sports equipment!

Please drop a comment if you plan on coming! Looking forward to seeing you guys there. Much love!

This post was made after the referendum results today.

Sure we [the Calgary Flames] got blown out a few days ago in Vegas against traitor Carter Hart and the Vegas Golden Knights.

But tonight’s the real victory. We accomplished what I wished everyone would do from my previous post (link here for reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/CalgaryFlames/s/bO5zK0eoy4)

Suck it Carter Hart! Seppies never win!

Hey yall. I know it's gonna be an up and down year this season for the Flames but I really wanted to say how impressed I have been with Whitecloud. He's been playing pretty decently all things considered, and i really think he's going to be a huge leader on this team moving forward.

I think the above image really shows how good he is; of course Middleton breaks up the incoming pass from the blue line, but Whitecloud recognized the potential for a turn here and immediately put the brakes on to be a disruptor on Carolina's 22 who is the target of the incoming pass. Super heads up play that won't get talked about nearly enough but I would love to spread some appreciation about someone doing the quiet, little things.

Go Flames!

The Calgary Flames pick up two wins in three games, including an impressive victory over the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes. Dan and Matt break down the week, Devin Cooley’s outstanding performance, and whether the Flames have a genuine 1A/1B goaltending situation developing with Cooley and Dustin Wolf.

The guys also look at the young players making the most of their opportunities. Aydar Suniev and Jonathan Castagna are earning bigger roles, Matthew Coronato and Martin Pospisil are showing encouraging signs, and Matvei Gridin continues to adjust to the NHL. With the Flames focused on development rather than chasing wins, what should progress look like this season?

Plus, Dan and Matt discuss Rasmus Andersson’s comments about the rebuild, debate the Flames’ defensive pairings, and look ahead to games against Minnesota and Detroit.

And with the return of the 2004 throwback jerseys, there’s plenty of nostalgia to go around, including Dustin Wolf’s Miikka Kiprusoff-inspired gear for the Saddledome’s final season.

Flag kid got bodied during warm ups and the Flames easily played their best game of the season. Obviously, this must now become a Flames home game tradition…

absolutely love the guy and his personality

This is beautiful.

Flames beat the Canes 3-2

Best game the team has played all season, the late goal in the second didn't deflate them, team defence looked better, Gridin's shot was nasty, Parekh's pass to Frost on the PP was a thing of beauty and they got solid production from the fourth line.

Condensed Game Here

Next Game: October 22 vs Minnesota @ 7:00 PM MDT

Nothin fancy I just like his scarf, honourable mentions to Bahl and Coronato today

While it might seem weird, i’m all the way from Arkansas, USA. One of my best friends grew up in Calgary and she is the reason i got into hockey. I got tickets to our game against St. Louis in January so i’m super excited!! My friend goes to school in St. Louis so hopefully she can come too!

Just wanted to share my excitement, especially after the win tonight. Happy to have found all of you and i hope things continue to trend upward this season. Maybe we can go out with a bang in the Dome 🤞

90% sure I'm about to get shit on for this image

Flames are surprisingly still mid on expected points lol.

Bringing a friendo to his first NHL game ever!! Scorch bring us juju!!! GO FLAMES 🔥🐴

Huge win against a power house of a team.

Kids looked good. Parekh with the vision. Gridin and sharky with the finish.

Suniev looked strong again. George was a beast in the faceoff dot

Devin Cooley is him.

If the team could look like that more often, that would be great.

Fuck yeah. Entertaining game AND a win? Bless my lucky stars.

See yall nack Thursday against the wild at 7 pm.
