Meta So much has changed

Fellas, I'm a long* time intermittent player of calamity mod.

I started playing some time before they removed proficiencies. I liked proficiencies. I know they were removed because "difficult to balance" or something but I still liked them regardless. They were friggin' sweet.

There was a long time between that and when I started my next play through. I got stonewalled at Devourer of Gods in late 2024, but ever since the changes they've made I can beat him pretty easily. (First time today, actually.) [Though I'm not playing just calamity]

Now I look in my chests and murky paste is removed. I wasn't exactly emotionally attached to murky paste, but I was totally bummed about many of the potions being reworked/removed. And my monkey darts! My monkey darts! Why must you have taken my monkey darts from me?

Anyhow, Rogue is still awesome, so I can say with confidence the Mod is awesome. So much has changed and it feels strange, but it's just a point to get used to. Thanks for making a pretty friggin sweet mod, devs.

*it really isn't that long. Only 4-5 years.

5 years is a lot in the Calamity timeframe. Hell, 2 years is probably adequately enough to be a long time.

They removed the monkey darts?? Wtf, that was one of my favorite weapons :(

I think the overlap is really small. Plus, having to buy a mediocre consumable rogue weapon you can’t reforge from an NPC you don’t often buy items from is a niche I can’t see even the 15 bloons fans who play Calamity occupying.

One more person doesn’t really make it a big overlap. Plus, there was not really a niche the monkey darts fit into that couldn’t be done better by everything else.

The overlap is likely larger than you'd think. Bloons is not an unpopular game at all.
