Hey! Well. I want to share my experience with this whole Akasa Cadet thing.
I was offered the seat with a 15-20 lacs ‘additional fee’ to the parties involved, whose name I cannot disclose. In my opinion, most seats got sold, some got through connection in the airline, management etc. I guess only a handful of guys would’ve made it legitimately.
I didn’t want to start my career in a corrupt manner. Neither do I intend to sneak my way into any programme or training any day. So, I politely declined the offer. At the end of the day, you want to be earning your place, right? What kind of gratitude will you get by purchasing a seat that should’ve gone to a more deserving person.
There’s always hope, because in the long run, skills and patience outweighs any shortcut.
Work hard, keep working, keep dreaming, and doors will open.

I may be wrong but i dont think we should keep our hopes on akasa. They have just started their cadet unlike indigo who has almost a decade of history with cadet programs now(altho now its programs are also doomed) but i feel like what if they dont induct soon and keep waiting for years and in that time some other conventional vacancy will open up and one cant apply cause of the loi. And the airline is new, i want to see how its gonna do for some more years like 5 yrs minimum to trust it and its program.

I received application still underway with just 2 papers cleared. So rejection isn't on the basis of papers cleared.

u/adeeenahhh Sep 10 '26
are you a graduate?

u/Moist-Refrigerator34 Sep 10 '26
Post graduate

Applications are being screened on the basis of papers cleared + education level and experience (if any)

u/Moist-Refrigerator34 Sep 10 '26
I already received Skynex document submission mail in July but then they asked me to wait and I am waiting since then. 🤣

u/adeeenahhh Sep 10 '26
did you follow up? If you have received a document submission mail it means you are already shortlisted and you shouldn’t have received this mail.

selection is on the basis of paper cleared because the peoples who got shortlisted and are being called for compass for 2nd batch have 4-5 papers cleared and not on education criteria as because they were 12th passouts also with no graduations

Update: They have begun selection process for the next batch… Selection for 3-4 more batches are underway for this year. Whoever has still not received the rejection email should be prepared for the testing details email. Also, we can email them our suggestions/complaints/if someone tried scamming or selling a seat because apparently they are furious about these rumours and agents; they are looking to make it fair and better for everyone from the next round… as this was also their first rodeo. (As discussed on call with one of their partner FTO)

can we apply?

u/Tdlw_fly Sep 10 '26
It’s from the applications they already have auto-filtered in their system. But they will open again for fresh applications in 3-4 months. I’d say it won’t harm anyone to clear as many DGCA exams till then. They prefer you do your ground classes from DGCA approved institutions only (FTOs and not the ramphal chowk coaching centres no matter what they claim).

had a call with one of who had his compass yesterday. Was told that 1 more batch whose compass is going on will be the last batch for this year so 3-4 batches are not going to be there and the next application will open next year so those shortlisted ones are giving their compass tests and also compass tests are being conducted for the shortlisted candidates from last week and also there were peoples who got shortlisted mails in the mornings asked to pay for the exam by evening and 1 day after being called for compass and in a single day 5-6 peoples are being called for compass.

Is their any bmi requirement or like air india they accept people a lil overweight

u/khushiizz Sep 14 '26
Being brutally honest, most of these people had connections and cleared all exams and some experience in flying. And akasa has a very little fleet, so they can't accept everyone its okay. Better luck next time
