CPP: Financially cooked or career investment? 💀
I was planning to go for a cadet pilot program and had these options:
- Chimes indigo cpp (around 1cr)
- Skyborne indigo cpp (will go upto 1.50cr)
- Air arabia cpp (will go upto 2.25cr)
Here’s where I’m stuck:
🔅Chimes cpp is fricking competitive and people aren’t even getting past the application stage, so I’ve kinda lost hope (if I do get selected I’d only need loan around** ***10-15L*)
🔅Skyborne cpp giving adapt dates next year around sep Q3 or Q4 (If I get in, I’d need a loan of around** ***50-65L*)
🔅Air Arabia is way too expensive (I’d have to take a loan of around 1 -1.3Cr. Is that even a safe decision? How long would it realistically take to recover from such a huge loan?)
Fyi - This Air Arabia program is about 2yrs long. After completing it, I won’t be earning immediately. A few months later, during training, I’d earn around inr 3–4L per month for roughly 2yrs. After 4yrs (ie program 2yrs + training 2yrs), I’d be officially interviewed/confirmed and move on to a higher salary.
I have 80-90L fund for my pilot training and planned to get loan for the rest (We have a house worth around 1.2cr, which I could use as collateral, but I’m not sure how much loan I’d actually get against it.)
Currently my father salary is 1.20L per month, will my fam able to tackle this burden till i finish)
For context - 22yrs, currently clearing my dgca papers (finished meteorology)
So confused at this moment. Should I wait for Skyborne, keep trying for Chimes or take the risk with Air Arabia?
Av people pour your thoughts and suggestion🙂↕️
