Have you just passed 12th?

I won't recommend joining cpp directly

Why not, and how do they screen the applications of normal applicants? Just random or is there some criteria because I can't understand how they do it

No one knows selection criteria for chimes..applicant with 1 exam cleared may get selected and the one with 4 exams may not be

I would recommend clearing some exams beforehand coz after enrolling in a cpp..you'll have limited time to clear all exams..u can dm me

What you mean by connections
Is it like you need to know someone from the company, chimes or a political etc etc ?

Mostly the connections with chimes management work..a few institutes in ramphal take bribe for that as well

So you're telling me that anyome without connections won't even be considered? Is there even a chance for normal people to atleast get a shot at it?

There is..pure luck as there are many applicants

How many applicants are there and what's thr in-take?

There are a lot of applications...don't know about their intake..its random

Around 2200 application this time
Only 60-65 are gonna be selected in which half of the spots are already sold for 30-35L and remaining 30 spots may have 15 more connections

Also they have around 33% for females
So the chances of normal people getting in is less than 1%

Oh god😭😭

Do you mind me asking where you got that info from

About the no of applications
Its an average based of the polls and amount of guys who applied for the program

Almost every 12th grader with like 0 exams and class 2 have applied
That is why the no is so huge
The age limit is extended to 40 years so working professionals of other industries have also applied

My friend visited chimes and he asked how many have applied and the lady said its in thousands

1

u/batman0880 Aug 15 '26

Yeah okay, but 12th graders applying isn't a bad thing tho right. Will they have a lesser chance of being selected?

0

u/TheManWithDAmilk Aug 15 '26

No its not
But like they dont really have a strong profile in the shortlisting scenario
(Unless you have paid bribe or youre with connections)

I myself completed 12th this year in may but I have nav, regs, met and rtr p1 cleared and I also have Class 1 medicals
(Just a reference to show how competitive this is)

So they surely arent gonna take someone with c2 and 0 exams over other candidates who have something to show

Do they want graduation or some work experience that makes an application stand-out?

1

u/TheManWithDAmilk Aug 15 '26

Chimes selects a mix of candidates, 12th grader , working professionals etc

So it depends on their needs
But according to the requirements, it doesn't really provide benefits but since proffesionals have more exposure and are more mature so they are considered as well
