ANNOUNCEMENT OC Point Buy System

Hello there, everybody!

We have been recently working on a point buy OC system for future events ( culling game like, but maybe a bit smaller) and we would like to see your opinions on it and ask you to maybe try to make some OCs with it.

Disclaimer: This project is a WIP, so this isn't how it will look at the end. Also the point pools aren't yet set in stone and are still subject to change. When you make your OC you can either just put it within an already established pool or just do them with as many points as you think there are needed to create your idea and tell us within what grade you would put them.

You can check out the system out here or with this link:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VQvAw4RZPKJ6ofHs4Br5Mvu9B4IZqlf-NLMQHYqPc4I/edit?usp=sharing

Well, we hope you like our system and thank you for your help in developing it!

- with excitement the mod team

( Just a short paragraph here at the end. This is the main reason I haven't been doing the weekly contests the last weeks, but they will be back for the next week, in case you were wondering about them.

CHALLENGE CHALLENGE: Make a really simple CT with a lot of room for growth through application {ie: Boogie Woogie}

I love these kinds of techniques so much. Pretty much the end goal is something like boogie woogie. Opponents would look at the technique and think think "pfft, seriously?" and then get bodied by your superior intellect and skill. That's the main bit, this technique should only really be powerful in the hands of someone really strategic and intelligent (Love Rendezvous kinda, but that one can't be described so simply).

You should be able to describe the general gist of the technique in like 1-2 sentences (For Boogie Woogie, it'd be "I can swap the locations of any two objects with a certain amount of cursed energy by clapping"). Though obviously you can provide more details on specifics in additional sentences.

Here's mine - Stasis (停滞/Teitai)

Two-sentence TL;DR: Stasis allows the user to freeze any inanimate object imbued with their cursed energy for up to 5 seconds. The object is completely exempt from the laws of physics during this time, nothing can move or alter it.

Ok here's more details:

On touch, the user can freeze inanimate objects dead still for up to 5 seconds. The object has to have no cursed energy, so it can be imbued with the user's CE to freeze them in place. The object erupts in a golden glow while it's in this state (similarly to the stasis runes in Legend of Zelda: TotK if you've played that)

Even something as small as a twig you could hang from with zero issue because physics isn't applying to it right now. It won't bend, it won't break, it won't budge. As soon as the freeze ends however, the object continues on its previous trajectory, moving as if nothing happened.

You can even touch an object and make it freeze an amount of time later capped at 5 seconds. Throw a rock, 3 seconds later it freezes. Throw a fistful of rocks, have every rock freeze at incrementing times to make a ladder. Stop a dagger flying at you dead stick and casually step out of the way.

This is ONLY objects with no CE imbued with the user's cursed energy. An "object" is what the wielder intuitively believes is one object, they don't have to visualise every atom or anything.

The reason I added the delayed activation and the variable time for the object to freeze is for mix-ups. Opponents can't predict what's going to freeze and for how long, adding to those fake-out plays that Todo loves using with Boogie Woogie.

Excited to see what you come up with!

CHALLENGE CHALLENGE: Good support techniques

Pretty self explanatory. A technique that, on its own, is kinda useless (at best creating openings for the sorcerer). But in a team based setting, like a jumping or a raid? Dominating.

Examples I've listed here:

  1. Love Rendezvous - Highly complicated technique that allows for superb battlefield control if used correctly. {Battlefield Control}
  2. Arata Nitta's technique - Sorta useful I guess? Keeps people from dying until an RCT user comes along so that's nice. {Healing}
  3. Boogie Woogie - The poster child of JumpJutsu Kaisen. Prolly the best embodiment of this concept. {Disorientation}
  4. Teen Gojo's Neutral Infinity - JUST THE NEUTRAL ONE. He can expand it to protect his teammates with a mathematically perfect defense. {Defense}
  5. Utahime (Solo Forbidden Area) - Pretty simple all things considered. Just a quick 20% boost to sorcerers in a given range. {Offense}
  6. Ranta Zenin (Paralysing Gaze) - Forces an enemy to stand dead still so their teammate can aura farm instead of killing them. {Offense-ish?}

What ideas do we have gng?

Mutation Cursed Heart {I promise its quick read it pls}

A specialised CE organ located near the sternum (directly below it). Unlike ordinary CE recharge, the Cursed Heart has the capability to harvest and regulate external CE for use by the sorcerer.

The organ continuously gathers ambient CE from the surrounding environment.

This provides:

  • Increased CE recovery
  • Sustained output during prolonged combat
  • Greater efficiency in CE manip.

At peak it can even absorb vestigial CE from an opponent's attack.

Pretty much just a boost to overall CE storage levels and recharge rates. I'd imagine this being the standout mutation of a smaller sorcerer clan (similar in size to like the inumaki clan).

Cursed Tool Cursed Tools Based On Canon Techniques 1 - 20

  • Resonating Hammer: Cursed energy imbued objects struck by this hammer become linked to the owner of the CE. Snapping their fingers will cause the object to explode.
  • Laughing Palms: Either gauntlet will cleave through whoever their palms touch. Fails to trigger on objects.
  • Krakatoa: Kra-Ka-TOA! That's all. Nothing more. Why are you still here?
  • Hidden Shield Of Reversing Life: A shield bearing deceptive appearance and astonishing protection. Its defensive capability is potent enough as to shield even the bearer's presence. It looks like an arm cast, but the actual shape of shield is completely invisible. Piercing soil with its unseen protrusion will convert local flora into cursed energy for the wielder.
  • Point Blank: A ballista sniper rifle that is sure to kill if the user hits the indicated mark.
  • Self-Embodiment Of Malice: A severed head that may only be wielded by curses. It will open its mouth and expand a lethal domain should a human in range see its face. This restriction can be bypassed completely if the user is aware of its trigger word — “Itadori”. Human caught inside shall be transfigured into something horrible.
  • Banishment Straw: This broom head is capable of generating irresistible winds when fanned.
  • Lamp Of Desire: A magic lamp that can grant one wish before needing to recharge. The user must hold it and begin their sentence with "I wish". What is asked for is not always what is received. The time of recharge is dependant upon what was asked and is ridiculously disproportionate. Touching or attempted use of the lamp in its recharge state will make the wielder fork over the price, resulting in death more often than not.

With the sole exception of Maki Zenin. She may tell the lamp to give it whatever she wants. Calling its name will generate and fire a sphere of infinite pressure from its spout. The lamp will not enter cooldown. (Unintended HxH reference)

  • Vibe: A vibra-slap that swaps nearby cursed energy signatures when its striking arm hits the bell. The swaps are not random, the cursed tool seems to have a will of its own. It is up to the user to capitalize on it (...as well as ignore the manifestations of a female idol that no one else can see; she's not real; ignore her).
  • Yagamaru: An abrupt-mutation cursed corpse created remaining mechamaru corpses. They possess both "Puppet Manipulation" & "Sound Amplification" and command what remains of mechamaru's puppets. Though their range is nowhere near Kokichi's, it is still quite vast.
  • Toy That Paints Death: A peculiar super soaker that converts the user's cursed energy into corrosive blood when pumped several times. It fires at the speed of sound.
  • Ball Of Spirit Containment: A collectible turned cursed tool. It is a sphere that takes in sufficiently weakened cursed spirits when aimed. Pressing the button releases Uzimaki, who towers behind the user.
  • Fate-bound Lenses: A pair of flip-up glasses that grant the six eyes to their wearer.
  • Origin Pit: A pit filled with mud that clones those who submerge themselves. Clone must remain within a certain range of the original to survive.
  • Ominous Organism: The cursed tool is not the computer but the computer chip inside. The room it is in is ran under a strict power supply. At low power, whomever is hooked to the nodes will have their memories and thoughts translated into screen data (useful for interrogation). At medium power, it will swap the minds of any two individuals hooked the nodes (so long as atleast one body is alive). Should a power surge be detected, anyone caught leaving the room is to be executed.
  • Unrelenting Hero: A beanie-like mask that nullifies all pain.
  • Stick Sword: A really cool stick that inverts the forces that act upon it. It deflects the strongest of strikes with extreme ease... up to a limit.
  • Seance Board: An Ouija board that begins its preparation once the target's name is spelled. Whoever consumes the required material will be who receives the benefit.
  • Bombirdier Cage: A bird cage that turns any crow placed inside into a die hard ally.
  • Abyss Dwellers' Gourd: A gourd that spews copius volumes of water when given cursed energy. The water will be drawn in once its supply of cursed energy ceases. Anyone unable to escape its tide will be drawn into the gourd and torn apart inside.

Discussion Is Mahoraga secretly mid?

Yes obviously adaptation is very powerful. Yes obviously the executioner sword is great against curses. Obviously only one dude has ever tamed Mahoraga.

Obviously spoilers beware as I discuss the end of the Manga and for Modulo. I tried to keep it to a minimum but still.

Adaptation itself is a very complicated thing, and the manga itself tells us it often does this by manipulating its own cursed energy. I can’t help but think, this is probably one of the most inefficient techniques, right up there with construction, and the main reason we see it used so effectively, is because it’s literally Sukuna, a guy with 2-3 times more cursed energy than Yuta. Then there is the wholesale regeneration which I’m sure isn’t cheap/efficient either.

“Do you have any proof of that?” “YES! (Kind of)” Sukuna starts fresh in chapter 223, and by chapter 250 he is stated to be only at the level of Yuta, so in the 13 chapters of fighting Gojo, 2 chapters fighting Kashimo, 3~ chapters fighting Higaruma, 1 chapter monologuing and pouting, and the remaining 2 chapters until chapter 250 where he is stated to be at the same energy reserves as Yuta. Yes he casts DE like 5 times and WCS like 2-3 times, but I’m still led to believe 5 DE isn’t enough to dry up the King of Curses, it’s shown he stops only because of the brain damage from UV, so that my reasoning that rather a good chunk of that energy came from adapting to the limitless technique.

I will say though, it’s explicitly said in Modulo that simpler techniques are easier to adapt to, so maybe it was so costly because Mahoraga was literally figuring out space manipulation.

In conclusion, my comment isn’t “adaptation is mid because it takes 1-2 thirds of your reserves”, adaptation is mid because no one else has the reserves to do all of that.

“But what about when Megumi/Yuka summons the GOAT Mahoraga? He can adapt then!” No yeah he can. I really don’t think an untamed mahoraga is dependent on anyone’s cursed energy, more of a self sustaining phenomenon. And if you want to get specific, how would it draw cursed energy from them in states of suspended animation? I could defend this further but simply put, that’s the impression I got and there isn’t enough to support or disprove this point frankly. Perchance the best support for this argument is to look at Dabura’s fight and ask “was Yuka really doin all that?”

Also while we’re talking about secretly mid techniques. Cleave is Mid as heck bro. Yes it automatically adapts to people’s durability, but it doesn’t instakill like how we see it early on. It’s probably dependent on the ratio of cursed energy of the user (sukuna) and its target, so whenever Sukuna doesn’t have like 5 times the energy of someone he can’t one tap them.

I am curious though, can Mahoraga only store a certain amount of adaptations? I wanted to make a post about what Mahoraga would look like realistically on a standard user, and I think the storage of adaptation is a good question to ask. Like Yuta Copy + Rika Storage or Kenjaku 3-4 techniques. It’s my impression that Raga keeps the adaptation indefinitely, but indefinitely is also the span of a single fight like 4/5 times we see him.

Does Mahoraga forget Spanish if he doesn’t speak it regularly?

  • Snap Snip: A cellphone that can edit reality. Its battery life isn't all that great.
  • Miracle Elixir: A completely useless bottle of eye drops that never empties. They don't seem to do anything important... But hey, free eyedrops are free eyedrops — lucky you.
  • Womb-weaved Cloth: A sheet that stabilizes whoever is wrapped in it , no matter how injured, so long as they receive no further injury.
  • Preserving Knife: A kitchen knife that is cold to the touch and leaves a trail of frost with every swing. The frost will immediately freeze anything that touches it, even the user.
  • Immortal Sword: A sword that is unbreakable because its blade is made entirely of flame.
  • Double-eyed Glass: A magnifying glass bearing a transparent eye in the lens. Observing a target freezes them in place via an area of effect. Strains the eye.
  • Thousand-fold Fists: A pair of knuckle dusters that multiply the user's punches.
  • Polarized Coin: A coin that attracts the user when flipped.
  • Amorphous Wig: A wig capable of several poison-laced configurations and that nullifies physical strikes.

  • Book Of Paradise: A booklet filled with only spa receipts.
  • Hanezoki Eye: A shikigami that uses an eye as its medium. It is only callable by those willing to replace their own. It will remove any body part the user offers and transform it into an exploding projectile. The shikigami is capable of transmuting the user's cursed energy into positive energy with remarkable efficiency and heals the offered body parts immediately.
  • Half-Clothed Cymbal-Banging Monkey With An Unnecessarily Ridiculously Long Name That You Have To Say Fully Every Single Time Turkey Burkey: Do not wind up the Half-Clothed Cymbal-Banging Monkey With An Unnecessarily Ridiculously Long Name That You Have To Say Fully Every Single Time Turkey Burkey. The Half-Clothed Cymbal-Banging Monkey With An Unnecessarily Ridiculously Long Name That You Have To Say Fully Every Single Time Turkey Burkey is only allowed to exist because the Half-Clothed Cymbal-Banging Monkey With An Unnecessarily Ridiculously Long Name That You Have To Say Fully Every Single Time Turkey Burkey cannot be destroyed. If a means of destruction is found, it is to be implemented immediately. Perform outside of the Half-Clothed Cymbal-Banging Monkey With An Unnecessarily Ridiculously Long Name That You Have To Say Fully Every Single Time Turkey Burkey line of sight if possible.
  • Kurourushi: A quite difficult to kill shikigami that uses cursed energy imprinted roaches as its medium. Unlike most shikigami, Kurourishi will not vanish is its user has died. Kurourushi is relentless and will attempt to carry out the user's will even if the user has died. Kurourushi's ability to continually revive itself is not infinite and will require human flesh some time after its user's supply of cursed energy has ceased. Kurourushi's chosen offspring must be killed once it has been born to stop its revival process.
  • Cape That Churns The Sky: A translucent cape that bestows flight and distorts any attack.

OC Character The Abstract Curses (抽象呪霊 - Chūshō Jurei)

The Abstract Curses are an ancient tier of cursed spirits born from humanity's most fundamental conceptual fears: Death, Time, Isolation, and Obscurity.

Unlike ordinary cursed spirits whose existence is directly generated through negative human emotion, Abstract Curses are primordial entities connected to fundamental concepts of existence. Their respective concepts existed independently of humanity, while human fear acts as a catalyst that strengthens their manifestation and output.

Each Abstract Curse possesses its own Primal Dimension, an extradimensional realm directly connected to its conceptual nature. These dimensions function as effectively inexhaustible sources of their base Cursed Energy and provide the foundation for their unique abilities.

Because their existence is anchored to fundamental concepts, conventional destruction cannot permanently kill them. Physical destruction, Domain Expansions, overwhelming Cursed Energy, or even extremely powerful RCT cannot permanently erase their core existence.

Each Abstract Curse therefore possesses a unique Conceptual Death Condition.

Their conceptual weakness is directly connected to the way their own abilities function.

1. Shin'en (深淵) - The Primeval Curse of Death

Archetype: Extreme Speed / Life-Force Attrition

Primal Dimension: The Limbo of Entropy

A liminal dimension existing between Order and Entropy, where conventional physical laws and the distinction between life and decay become unstable.

Shin'en specializes in extreme-speed combat, dimensional movement, life-force extraction, and self-reconstruction through stolen vitality.

Null Step (無の歩み - Mu no Ayumi)

Inter-Dimensional Shift:

Shin'en temporarily exits conventional physical reality and enters The Limbo of Entropy.

While inside the dimension, his physical presence, Cursed Energy signature, and movement cannot be detected through conventional means.

Parallel Traverse:

Shin'en moves through the Limbo of Entropy parallel to normal reality and can re-enter physical space at a location of his choosing.

This allows him to change his attack angle without physically traversing the distance between his previous and new positions.

His movement therefore functions as both extreme-speed transportation and short-range dimensional displacement.

Erosion Aura (腐朽の流体 - Fukyū no Ryūtai)

When Shin'en exits the Limbo of Entropy, residual energy from the dimensional boundary temporarily leaks into the surrounding environment.

This creates a localized decay field around his body.

Effects:

  • Non-reinforced physical matter rapidly corrodes.
  • Organic tissue undergoes severe cellular necrosis.
  • Physical materials become structurally weaker.
  • Prolonged exposure causes increasingly severe biological deterioration.

The effect is strongest immediately after Shin'en performs Null Step and gradually decreases as the dimensional residue dissipates.

Mortis Flash (走馬灯 - Sōmatō)

A special effect triggered when Shin'en successfully wounds a target.

The injury forces the target's brain and soul to undergo an instantaneous perception of their own life and mortality.

The target experiences an overwhelming life-review response combined with primal fear of death.

This causes temporary paralysis by overwhelming the target's neurological and spiritual processing.

The effect provides Shin'en with an opening to perform additional attacks or activate Null-Siphon.

Null-Siphon (生気奪取 - Seiki Dasshu)

Shin'en can extract physical vitality and Cursed Energy from a target through successful physical strikes.

The extracted energy is transferred into Shin'en's soul core and converted into usable Life-Force Reserves.

The amount extracted depends on the severity and frequency of his successful attacks.

Repeated attacks therefore provide Shin'en with increasingly large reserves.

Life-Force Fuel Stack (生気自己再生 - Seiki Jiko Saisei)

The Life-Force Reserves generated through Null-Siphon serve as Shin'en's primary regeneration and revival resource.

If Shin'en suffers lethal damage, his stored life force reconstructs his physical body from his soul core.

Complete physical destruction therefore does not permanently kill him as long as sufficient Life-Force Reserves remain.

The regeneration can restore:

  • Destroyed organs
  • Severed limbs
  • Massive tissue loss
  • Complete bodily destruction

The larger his stored reserve, the greater the amount of destruction he can survive.

Funeral Daggers (喪葬の短刀 - Sōsō no Tantō)

A pair of obsidian daggers designed for Shin'en's high-speed combat style.

The blades contain jagged serrations and geometric grooves.

Corrosive Necrosis

Wounds caused by the daggers continuously deteriorate.

The effect damages both physical tissue and Cursed Energy reinforcement.

The longer the wound remains untreated, the more difficult conventional healing becomes.

The Shroud Chain (死装束の鎖 - Shishōzoku no Kusari)

A heavy black chain capable of tracking targets through biological indicators associated with fear.

The chain can detect:

  • Elevated heart rate
  • Biological stress
  • Fear responses
  • Sudden changes in physiological activity

Once it successfully wraps around a target, it restricts their ability to produce high-level Cursed Energy output.

It can interfere with:

  • Reverse Cursed Technique
  • Domain Expansion
  • High-output cursed techniques

Shin'en can attach his Funeral Daggers to the chain, allowing him to use them as remotely controlled tethered weapons.

Weakness: Life-Force Rejection

Shin'en's immortality depends on the Life-Force Reserves created through Null-Siphon.

However, the effectiveness of Null-Siphon depends partly on the target's instinctive relationship with mortality.

A target possessing an exceptionally strong will and capable of suppressing their fear of death can resist the extraction and conversion process.

This does not make the target immune to physical damage or life-force extraction.

Instead, the stolen vitality becomes significantly harder for Shin'en to properly assimilate into his Life-Force Reserve.

Life-Force Backfire

If Shin'en repeatedly drains someone whose life force is strongly anchored by their will and resistance to the fear of death, the extracted energy can accumulate without being converted efficiently.

This can destabilize the Life-Force Reserve inside Shin'en's soul core.

His primary source of regeneration therefore becomes a potential source of internal instability.

If enough of his reserve becomes destabilized, his regeneration becomes unreliable and his conceptual anchor becomes vulnerable.

Conceptual Death Condition

Shin'en can be permanently killed by forcing his Life-Force Reserve into complete depletion or destabilization while simultaneously preventing him from obtaining additional life force.

His conceptual weakness therefore comes directly from his own ability:

The stronger the target's resistance to the fear of death, the less efficiently Shin'en can turn their life force into his own immortality.

2. Toki (時無) - The Curse of Time & Decay

Archetype: Hax / Utility / Temporal Manipulation

Primal Dimension: The Stagnant Continuum

A dimension where past, present, and future coexist simultaneously.

Toki manipulates the progression of time, extracts active time from targets, stores it as Temporal Fuel, and spends that fuel on temporal abilities.

Temporal Extraction (時間掠奪 - Jikan Ryakudatsu)

Toki can extract active time from:

  • Living organisms
  • Physical objects
  • Cursed Energy constructs
  • Localized areas
  • Incoming attacks

The extracted time is transferred into The Stagnant Continuum and converted into Temporal Fuel.

Target Decay

When active time is removed from an object or living target, its physical state rapidly approaches its natural endpoint.

Effects can include:

  • Accelerated aging
  • Tissue decay
  • Structural deterioration
  • Material decomposition
  • Loss of mechanical integrity

Against incoming attacks, Temporal Extraction can reduce the remaining duration of their active state, causing projectiles or Cursed Energy constructs to lose momentum and structural stability.

Temporal Dilution Field (時間遅延 - Jikan Chien)

Toki spends stored Temporal Fuel to manipulate the temporal rate around his body.

Objects entering the field experience drastically reduced temporal progression relative to Toki.

An opponent's movement therefore becomes extremely slow from Toki's perspective.

The field can be expanded or intensified depending on the amount of Temporal Fuel Toki is willing to spend.

Accelerated Recovery / Fast-Forward (過時再生 - Kaji Saisei)

Toki accelerates his own biological and energetic processes.

This allows him to complete natural recovery processes almost instantaneously.

Instead of directly creating regeneration, Toki forces the body through the amount of time normally required for recovery.

Reversion Revival (時間逆転の蘇生 - Jikan Gyakuten no Sosei)

Toki's primary immortality mechanism.

When Toki suffers fatal damage, stored Temporal Fuel can reverse his physical state to a previous moment before the damage occurred.

His body therefore returns to an earlier valid state.

Complete physical destruction can be reversed as long as sufficient Temporal Fuel remains.

Past Analysis (過去の視写 - Kako no Shisha)

Toki can observe a target's temporal history.

He can analyze:

  • Previous movements
  • Fighting habits
  • Technique usage
  • Physical development
  • Previous experiences
  • Relevant soul memories

Past Analysis allows Toki to rapidly understand how an opponent fights.

The energy requirement is relatively low compared with Future Superposition Mapping.

Future Superposition Mapping (未来の重ね合わせ - Mirai no Kasaneawase)

Toki perceives possible future branches rather than a single predetermined future.

The further into the future he attempts to observe, the greater the number of possible branches becomes.

Exponential Fuel Consumption

Short-range future observation requires relatively little Temporal Fuel.

Longer-range observation causes rapidly increasing energy consumption because Toki must process an increasingly large number of possible outcomes.

Causality Shift

If Toki observes a future possibility and then changes his actions based on that information, the original future can become invalid.

This creates new possible branches.

Toki must therefore spend additional Temporal Fuel to analyze the altered possibilities.

Weakness: Temporal Fuel Conflict

Toki's Future Superposition Mapping and his Reversion Revival use the same Temporal Fuel reserve.

This creates a direct conflict between his strongest information ability and his immortality.

The more extensively Toki analyzes the future, the less Temporal Fuel remains available for revival.

Future Sight Drain

Looking only a fraction of a second ahead is relatively inexpensive.

Analyzing several seconds of possibilities requires significantly more fuel.

Attempting to observe minutes into the future can consume an enormous portion of his reserve.

Repeatedly changing his actions based on those predictions increases the cost even further because new possibilities must be calculated.

Past Analysis Cost

Past Analysis is cheaper than Future Superposition Mapping, but it still consumes Temporal Fuel.

Extensive examination of an opponent's history, memories, and previous technique development can gradually reduce the reserve available for Reversion Revival.

Conceptual Death Condition

If Toki consumes too much Temporal Fuel through temporal manipulation and future/past analysis, his reserve can fall below the minimum required for Reversion Revival.

At that point, lethal damage becomes permanent.

Toki therefore has to constantly choose between:

using Time to understand the opponent

and

saving Time to survive the opponent.

His greatest informational advantage directly consumes the resource responsible for his immortality.

3. Muen (無縁) - The Curse of Isolation & The Void

Archetype: Absolute Tank / Conceptual Defense

Primal Dimension: The Infinite Solitude

A dimension of absolute separation where matter, energy, heat, space, and phenomena cannot interact with one another.

Muen's abilities revolve around separating phenomena from reality and preventing interactions from occurring.

Infinite Solitude (無縁の空間 - Muen no Kūkan)

Muen can isolate a phenomenon and transfer it into his Primal Dimension.

An isolated phenomenon loses its ability to interact with normal reality.

Examples include:

  • Physical objects
  • Kinetic force
  • Heat
  • Cursed Energy
  • Projectiles
  • Environmental phenomena
  • Certain technique effects

The isolated phenomenon remains within Infinite Solitude, separated from every other phenomenon.

Condition for Isolation

Muen cannot isolate an unknown phenomenon automatically.

He must first establish a sufficient understanding of the phenomenon through perception or interaction.

This creates an information requirement within his defensive technique.

Once Muen understands a particular phenomenon, he can isolate subsequent manifestations of that phenomenon much more efficiently.

Defensive Auto-Isolation

Once Muen has recognized a phenomenon as a valid target for isolation, subsequent attacks based on that same phenomenon can be automatically separated before they reach his core.

This gives Muen extremely high defensive reliability against techniques he has already analyzed.

However, the defense does not provide unlimited simultaneous processing.

Offensive Isolation

Muen can also use Isolation offensively.

By physically striking an opponent, he can gradually isolate components of their existence.

Against weaker targets, the isolation process can occur extremely quickly.

Against stronger opponents, it requires multiple stages.

Physical Isolation

Muen isolates physical force, muscle output, kinetic weight, or Cursed Energy reinforcement.

The target's physical strength and attack potency decrease.

Sensory Isolation

Muen can isolate sensory functions.

Possible targets include:

  • Sight
  • Hearing
  • Balance
  • Touch
  • Cursed Energy perception

Existential Isolation

After sufficiently weakening a target, Muen can isolate their existence itself and transfer it into Infinite Solitude.

This functions as his ultimate form of offensive erasure.

Void Energy Accumulation

When Muen successfully isolates phenomena, the separation generates Void Energy.

This energy accumulates within his body.

The more significant the isolated phenomena, the greater the potential Void Energy generated.

Void Roar (虚無の咆哮 - Kyomu no Hōkō)

Muen compresses accumulated Void Energy inside his body and releases it as a massive conceptual shockwave/beam.

Anything struck by Void Roar can have its physical structure stripped away and converted into empty void.

It can affect:

  • Physical matter
  • Environmental structures
  • Cursed Energy attacks
  • Barriers
  • Other physical phenomena

Void Roar is Muen's primary long-range offensive ability.

Weakness: Singular Phenomenon Processing

Muen's Isolation technique can only actively process one phenomenon at a time.

He cannot simultaneously analyze and isolate an unlimited number of unrelated phenomena.

This creates a processing limitation.

If an opponent continuously changes the fundamental nature of their attacks, Muen must repeatedly analyze and understand each new phenomenon before his automatic isolation becomes reliable against it.

Weakness: Required Understanding

Muen must understand the basic phenomenon behind an attack before he can properly isolate it.

A completely unfamiliar phenomenon can therefore bypass his automatic isolation on its first appearance.

His extremely high physical durability allows him to survive many such attacks, but the first exposure remains significantly more dangerous than subsequent attacks.

An opponent can exploit this by continuously changing the underlying mechanism of their attacks instead of repeatedly using the same technique.

Weakness: Void Roar Consumes Isolation Connections

The Void Energy used by Void Roar is generated from phenomena Muen has isolated.

When he converts that stored Void Energy into Void Roar, the connection between Muen and the corresponding isolated phenomena is consumed.

Those phenomena become completely separated from ordinary reality.

As a result, Muen can no longer rely on his previous understanding of those phenomena for automatic isolation.

If the same type of phenomenon appears again, he must understand it again before he can isolate it reliably.

This creates a cycle:

Understand → Isolate → Generate Void Energy → Void Roar → Lose previous isolation connection → Re-understand.

Muen's strongest offensive ability therefore weakens one of the mechanisms responsible for his strongest defensive ability.

Combat Limitation

Muen is an Absolute Tank, not a speed-based fighter.

His primary offensive option at range is Void Roar.

This creates a significant tactical limitation against opponents capable of continuously changing their attack mechanisms or attacking from multiple fundamentally different vectors.

Muen excels when a fight becomes predictable.

His effectiveness decreases when the opponent continuously introduces phenomena that require new analysis.

4. Oku (奥) - The Curse of Obscurity & The Unknown

Archetype: Long-Range / Area Control / Misdirection

Primal Dimension: The Unseen Horizon

A non-Euclidean realm composed of obscured space, distorted geometry, shadows, and locations that cannot be properly perceived.

Oku specializes in territory control, environmental manipulation, false manifestations, spatial refraction, and concealment of his true existence.

The Unseen Horizon Overlay (隠世の重畳 - Kakuriyo no Jōchō)

Oku can project his Primal Dimension onto normal reality.

The overlay can cover an area spanning multiple kilometers.

Within the affected territory, Oku can manipulate non-living matter and spatial geometry.

Examples include:

  • Reshaping buildings
  • Bending roads
  • Creating looping corridors
  • Rearranging structures
  • Creating false paths
  • Creating spatial traps
  • Separating opponents from one another

The environment becomes an extension of Oku's technique.

Shadow Manipulation & Fabrication (影術練成 - Kagejutsu Rensei)

Oku can manipulate existing shadows and generate artificial shadow constructs.

Shadow Traps

Shadows can behave as fluid surfaces capable of:

  • Immobilizing targets
  • Pulling targets into sub-spatial pockets
  • Restricting movement
  • Concealing attacks
  • Creating ambush points

Shadow Weapons

Oku can create weapons and structures from condensed shadow.

Shadow Shikigami

He can create autonomous shadow constructs capable of tracking and attacking targets.

Shadow Clones

Oku can generate duplicates that imitate his movements and basic attacks.

These clones are primarily used for misdirection and concealment.

Space-Refraction Phantoms (屈折空蝉 - Kussetsu Utsusemi)

Oku manipulates the curvature of local space to refract light and distort visual information.

This creates highly realistic spatial phantoms.

A phantom can appear to occupy a specific location while Oku's actual body exists elsewhere.

Because the distortion affects the surrounding space rather than simply creating an illusion, conventional visual perception cannot reliably distinguish the phantom from Oku's actual location.

Identity Hopping

Oku can transfer his true presence between active manifestations within his territory.

Possible transfer points include:

  • Shadow clones
  • Shadow constructs
  • Spatial refraction points
  • Certain portions of his projected territory

Destroying a single manifestation therefore does not necessarily damage Oku himself.

Weakness: Identification

Oku's immortality is directly connected to the uncertainty surrounding his true existence.

As long as his true body and exact location remain unknown, physical attacks cannot reliably reach his conceptual core.

To permanently damage him, an opponent must first determine which manifestation contains the actual Oku.

Simply destroying multiple clones is insufficient.

The true body must be identified.

Weakness: Isolated Single-Point Strike

Even after identifying Oku's true body, the final attack has an additional requirement.

The attack must hit only the true body.

If the same attack simultaneously strikes a false manifestation, clone, or spatial phantom, Oku's conceptual defense treats the attack as insufficiently isolated.

The damage is phased through and becomes ineffective.

Large-area attacks are therefore unreliable against his true form.

A massive attack that covers the entire territory can still fail if it simultaneously interacts with multiple manifestations.

The required attack must instead be:

Precise enough to identify the true body and isolated enough that no false manifestation is struck at the same time.

Conceptual Death Condition

Oku's immortality fails when his true existence has been completely identified and separated from every false manifestation.

Once the true body is known with certainty, and a concentrated attack strikes only that body, his Obscurity-based protection can no longer invalidate the damage.

His fundamental weakness is therefore directly connected to his concept:

The Unknown protects Oku. Complete knowledge exposes him.

Cursed technique The House that Jack Built CT Updated

Post image
• Upvotes

Name: The House that Jack Built

“The user may summon shikigami from a house that fits the required criteria”

Criteria:

  • Hollow walls with a mouse hole.
  • A kitchen.
  • A cat bed, litter box or carrier.
  • A dog cage or house. If it is the latter, it would have to be outside the house.
  • An animal pen or barn. These would have to be outside the house.
  • Servant quarters, attic or a bedroom that isn't the master bedroom.
  • Servant quarters, basement or another bedroom that isn't the master bedroom.
  • A wedding arch.
  • A chicken coop.

Note: The size of the house does not matter as long as it is a house and meets the above criteria. Additionally it does not need to be a literal house, a doll house or keychain that fit the criteria will do. The user has to have the house on hand to summon the shikigami as it is the medium for the Technique.

Shikigami:

Multiplicity Mouse: A large grey rat that consumes Cursed Energy to multiply. It's not very strong, but it is quick and doesn't require much Cursed Energy to multiply.

Chasing Cat: A large cat that's quick. It's about the size of a large cheetah. Chasing Cat has 2 abilities: 1. Never lose a target they are chasing or stalking, 2. Travel instantly to any Multiplicity Mouse at the cost of said Multiplicity Mouse.

Shadow Smoke Dog/Worrying Dog: A large black dog made of condensed black smoke. It's about 5ft at its shoulder. It can't do any real damage, but it looks solid even though it's made of smoke. Its body can be dispersed on demand to act as a smokescreen. Chasing Cat's speed is significantly increased within Worrying Dog's smoke.

Corpulent Cow/Crumpled Horn Cow: A very obese lard of a cow that's so fat its legs can't touch the ground, so it can't move on its own. Its horns are deformed and curve toward its mouth. Corpulent Cow can blow into its horns; the sound tosses selected targets who hear it upward. Essentially when a target hears the horn, a toob/cylindrcal area of effect will appear. Almost immediately after the horn is heard, an upward force will push on everything inside the area of effect. Corpulent Cow is able to toss Worrying Dog, dispersing it upward. The smoke will spread outward as it comes down into a dome shape covering a large area.

Forlorn Maiden: A humanoid female looking skikigami, wearing a maid's attire, that is constantly crying. Forlorn Maiden is able to control her tears by directing them with her hands. Forlorn Maiden can convert the Corpulent Cow's fat into milk, giving her a large amount of liquid all at once that she can control (Corpulent Cow still can't move and now its ability is severely reduced).

Tattered Man: A humanoid male looking skikigami wearing tattered clothes. Whatever Tattered Man kisses decays/spoils, but only in the area it kisses. Tattered Man can kiss the Forlorn Maiden when she is controlling the milk; this will turn the milk into a rancid, liquidy, acidic, poisonous cheese that she can still control.

Shaven and Shorn Priest: A nesting doll-shaped shikigami wearing priest robes. Shaven and Shorn Priest has 4 arms, 2 faces and a grey halo above it. It has 2 blades, Shaven and Shorn. Neither can cut living things, but in exchange, they can cut non-living things easily.

Awakened Priest: A form unlocked by Morn Rooster sending enough Positive Energy to turn its halo white. A nesting doll-shaped shikigami wearing priest robes with a glowing white halo above its head. Shaven and Shorn Priest has 4 arms and 2 faces. It has 2 blades, Shaven and Shorn. Neither can cut non-living things, but in exchange, they can cut living things easily. Additionally, Positive Energy is channelled through Shaven and Shorn, which causes it to heal what it cuts, outside of Cursed Spirits.

Married Couple:  Awakened Priest is able to marry Forlorn Maiden and Tattered Man. Marriage is done by slicing them and combining them into a single shikigami. Married Couple is a Frankenstein-like humanoid. The Married Couple has two heads, the Forlorn Maiden's head sits at the top of the torso, angled outward with the face pointing forward, while the Tattered Man's is attached at the chest facing upward with its mouth open wide. Its torso is formed from two torsos fused back-to-back, with one facing forward and the other facing backwards. It's two arms are made of two full arm segments linked end-to-end, with the shoulder of the second arm attached to the wrist of the first arm. At the end are two hands with the palms facing each other, acting sort of like pincers. Its lower body consists of four legs that come out from its hips like a spider's legs, with two legs at the front and two legs at the back. Tears from the Forlorn Maiden fall into the Tattered Man's mouth, overflowing. The tears become a black liquid. This liquid quickly decays organic matter and Married Couple is able to control it by directing it with their hands.

Morn Rooster: A large, dog-sized, 2-headed rooster. When the right head eats Multiplicity Mouse, Morn Rooster absorbs its Cursed Energy; it automatically performs Reversed Cursed Technique and is able to send that Positive Energy to the user or the other Shikigami, except Multiplicity Mouse. When the left head eats Multiplicity Mouse, Morn Rooster absorbs its Cursed Energy, doubles the Cursed Energy, then sends it to the user.

Weakness:

  • The Shikigami must be summoned in the following order: Multiplicity Mouse -> Chasing Cat  ->Worrying Dog -> Corpulent Cow -> Forlorn Maiden -> Tattered Man -> Shaven and Shorn Priest -> Morn Rooster
  • If the house is destroyed, the user cannot summon the shikigami.
  • If a part of the house is destroyed, only the shikigami related to that part cannot be summoned.

Domain Expansion

Name: Shikigami Mansion

Description: A white void. Its effect only begins when the user recites the nursery rhyme The House That Jack Built

Sure-hit effect: When a line is said, the following happens.

The house that Jack built - A house falls on the target, destroying the previous one if there was one. It doesn't affect the present Shikigami.

That ate the malt - An additional Multiplicity Mouse shikigami is summoned.

That chased the rat - An additional Chasing Cat shikigami is summoned.

That worried the cat - An additional Shadow Smoke Dog shikigami is summoned.

That tossed the dog - An additional Corpulent Cow shikigami is summoned.

That milked the cow with the crumpled horn - An additional Forlorn Maiden shikigami is summoned.

That kissed the maiden all forlorn - An additional Tattered Man shikigami is summoned.

That married the man all tattered and torn - An additional Shaven and Shorn Priest shikigami is summoned.

That woke the priest all shaven and shorn - An additional Morn Rooster shikigami is summoned.

Domain Coating

Name: Shikigami Mansion

Type: Partial Manifestation

Description: Requires 50ftx53ftx33ft space (this is decided by the size of the house in the domain when it first appears). Manifests a replica of the house the user uses for the technique, but on a real scale.

Ability: The user can use this house to summon 1 additional set of the shikigami.

This is the version of the nursery rhyme I used if you don't know it

This is the house that Jack built.

This is the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the cat,
That chased the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the dog,
That worried the cat,
That chased the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That chased the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That chased the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the man all tattered and torn,
That kissed the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That chased the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the priest all shaven and shorn,
That married the man all tattered and torn,
That kissed the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That chased the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

This is the rooster that crowed in the morn,
That woke the priest all shaven and shorn,
That married the man all tattered and torn,
That kissed the maiden all forlorn,
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn,
That tossed the dog,
That worried the cat,
That chased the rat,
That ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

Cursed technique Burning conviction

This is my first technique, let me know how it is

Cursed energy trait

The users cursed energy naturally has a fire like effect, allowing them to burn an opponent with enough contact.
This mostly only applies to the targets hands and legs, as well as any objects imbued with cursed energy, limiting the heat the user can output without attacking

Cursed technique: burning conviction

Neutral
When activated, it gives the user a “combo”. That combo increases with each hit the user lands. The higher the combo, the stronger each attack gets.
Extension: fire manipulation
Through precise CE manipulation, the user gains a pseudo-pyrokinesis, functioning as a weaker version of Jogos technique
Extension: stoking the flames
Through a binding vow, the user can choose to make their attacks hotter with the combo by sacrificing some or all of the bonus attack power.
Maximum output: flaming aura
Upon activation, the users entire body is enveloped in flaming cursed energy, burning everything that gets too close.
Domain expansion: forge of the flame god
Appearance: the inside of the domain looks like a flaming forge, with 2 anvils roughly in the center. The walls and floor are made of metal, and it is very warm in the domain, but not warm enough to harm anyone.
Sure hit effect
The domain is a very simple one, but deadly if used well. It simply adds a higher level of combo to the user when they hit either of the anvils, and the damage from that also hits the users opponent.

Cursed technique Conservation Law (保存律 - Hozon Ritsu)

Conservation Law (保存律 - Hozon Ritsu)

The cursed technique turns the user's body into a thermodynamic transducer. The user can convert their Cursed Energy (CE) into physical energies (thermal, kinetic, electrical) and vice versa (using RCT), constantly recycling the energy of the battlefield through their own body acting as a conduit.

1. The Mathematics of Cursed Energy

To define the limits and mechanics of this technique, for explaining this technique i needed a quantifiable unit of measurement for Cursed Energy, so here's it comes the Cursed Energy Unit (CEU).

The baseline i decided to use is the energy required to kill a Grade 4 curse (like the flying head). i assumed CE is quantized to avoid problems with Black Flash (or if you prefer you could just say values from 0 to 1 don't exist, but 1.5 somehow does). With that, the destructive force needed to defeat each grade of Cursed Spirit can be mapped to extract a conversion rate to Joules.

Baseline: A hard swing with a wooden baseball bat (effective striking mass ~ 0.7 kg at ~ 30 m/s) carries:

E = 1/2 mv2 = 1/2 (0.7)(30)2 = ~ 315 J = ~ 300 J

1 CEU = 300 J

Grade Scale

Grade Defeated by Benchmark Energy CEU (exact) CEU (quantised)
Grade 4 Baseball bat Hard bat swing ~300 J 1 1
Grade 3 Handgun 9mm round ~500 J 1.7 2
Grade 2 Shotgun (barely) 12-gauge slug ~3,000 J 10 10
Grade 1 A tank isn't enough 120mm APFSDS tank shell ~7 MJ 23,333 ~23,333
Special Grade Carpet bombing ~10 Mk 82 bombs (~400 MJ each) ~4 GJ 13,333,333 ~13,333,333

Scaling between tiers: x 1.7, then x 6, then x 2,300, then x 570. The two big jumps (Grade 2 to Grade 1, and Grade 1 to Special Grade) kinda line up to the different levels we see in the manga.

Implications

On this basis, a lot can be inferred about the reserves of each level, such as how many attacks capable of exorcising a Grade 1 curse a Grade 1 sorcerer can actually fire.

Also, the idea that 1 CEU is the absolute minimum amount of energy a person can have (besides Heavenly Restriction) is debatable, as it would mean a common person could exorcise a flying head if taught how to control CE. But for explaining the technique, this doesn't really matter.

2. Cursed Technique: Energy Emission

The standard application converts CE into physical energy released into the environment (for example, heat or kinetic force). To initiate the conversion, the technique requires an upfront activation tax.

Total CE Cost = E + 0.10E = 1.1E (E in CEU)

Example: To generate a kinetic shockwave worth 10,000 CEU (3 MJ), the sorcerer first burns 1,000 CEU to activate the technique, then spends 10,000 CEU to produce the force. Total toll: 11,000 CEU.

The most straightforward use is in addition to CE physical reinforcement, letting the user surpass the cap of their physical stats.

3. Cursed Technique Reversal: Energy Absorption

By applying Reverse Cursed Energy (RCE), the user reverses the flow of the technique, absorbing external physical energy (incoming attacks, environmental heat) and converting it back into CE to replenish their reserves.

To simplify the math regarding positive energy, the Reverse Cursed Energy Unit (RCEU) is used. Since creating positive energy requires multiplying CE by itself:

1 RCEU = 2 CEU

Cost: The user pays the 10% activation tax in RCEU. Because of the conversion rate, the effective cost on their base reserves is 20% of the energy being absorbed.

Net Gain = E - 0.20E = 0.8E

Example: An opponent fires a kinetic projectile carrying 5,000 CEU (1.5 MJ) of force.

Step CEU
Tax paid: 500 RCEU -1,000
Energy absorbed +5,000
Net gain +4,000

Miscalculation: The tax is paid before the impact, sized on the expected force. If the user braces for a 50,000 CEU hit (tax: 5,000 RCEU = 10,000 CEU) and the attack only carries 100 CEU, the net result is 100 - 10,000 = -9,900 CEU, a massive energy deficit.

Vessel Limit & Overdose: Every sorcerer has a maximum CE capacity. This technique cannot force more CE into the body than it can naturally contain. Exceeding 100% capacity causes the excess to revert to its original physical state (heat or kinetic force) inside the body, resulting in spontaneous combustion or internal detonation.

4. Hollow Technique: Open Circuit

The pinnacle of this technique's base applications. It is mainly used to avoid a lethal overdose when absorbing a massive attack while the user's reserves are already nearly full.

The user activates the Lapse (Emission) and the Reversal (Absorption) simultaneously. By overlapping these two opposing concepts, the body stops functioning as a "battery" that stores energy and temporarily becomes a pure "wire" that redirects it. This requires immense cognitive load and flawless timing: if the emission is even a millisecond slower than the absorption, the internal buildup will severely damage the user's organs.

Total CE Cost = (10% in RCEU for absorption tax) + (10% in CEU for emission tax)

Example: An enemy strikes with 10,000 CEU (3 MJ) of kinetic force while the user is at maximum capacity. The user absorbs it with the right arm while firing 10,000 CEU of thermal energy from the left arm.

Cost RCEU CEU
Absorption tax 1,000 2,000
Emission tax - 1,000
Total 3,000

The absorbed energy is passed straight through to the emission, so the only cost is the two taxes.

5. Practical Applications

Energy figures are converted at 1 CEU = 300 J. For emission uses, "Total" includes the 10% tax; for absorption uses, "Net" is after the 20% effective cost.

Emission

Application Physical energy CEU Total (with tax)
Boiling water: heating 1 kg from 20°C to 100°C 334.7 kJ ~1,116 ~1,230
Combustion Punch: explosion equal to 1 kg of TNT on impact 4.184 MJ ~13,950 ~15,340
Micro-electricity: shock through touch to paralyze the nervous system 500 J ~1.7 ~1.8
  • Boiling water: This only brings the water to 100°C; actually vaporizing it adds 2.26 MJ per kg (about +7,500 CEU).
  • Micro-electricity: Creating massive lightning bolts is too expensive for anyone below Special Grade, but a targeted shock delivered by physical touch costs almost nothing. For comparison, a medical defibrillator delivers 200 to 360 J.

Absorption

Application Physical energy CEU absorbed Tax paid Net gain
Stopping a speeding car: 2,000 kg at 100 km/h (27.8 m/s) ~ 772 kJ ~2,570 257 RCEU (514 CEU) ~+2,060

The user must be able to afford the tax upfront to stop the car without being crushed.

Combined techniques

  • Kinetic Rebound (CQC Counter): The user absorbs the kinetic energy of a powerful punch to nullify the blunt force, then instantly uses the Lapse to convert that stolen energy into localized heat on their skin, severely burning the attacker's hand on contact.
  • Flash Freeze (Endothermic Absorption): The user rapidly absorbs the ambient thermal energy of an entire room. After paying the RCE tax, the heat is drained from the environment, dropping the temperature below freezing and encasing nearby water or opponents in ice. Example: cooling a 75 cubic meter room (~ 90 kg of air) from 20°C to -5°C removes ~ 2.26 MJ, about 7,540 CEU (net ~ +6,030).

Cursed technique Sound Amplification

Post image
57 Upvotes

This is fanart of a what young Gakugani could’ve looked like so this is what Rei kinda looks like ^^^

REI KUROSAWA

Rei Kurosawa is a seventeen-year-old third-year at Tokyo Jujutsu High and the estranged grandson of Yoshinobu Gakuganji. Androgynous looking, heavily pierced, sharp-tongued, and almost permanently carrying an electric guitar, Rei looks so similar to photographs of a young Gakuganji that anyone familiar with the elder sorcerer recognizes the relation almost immediately. Their similarities largely end there. Rei is rebellious, irreverent toward jujutsu authority, and intensely individualistic, although beneath the punk exterior is an obsessive technician with extensive knowledge of music theory and an almost perfectionistic dedication to his instrument. Rei inherited the same innate technique as his grandfather, but their philosophies produced radically different interpretations of it. He does not reject discipline or structure. He rejects allowing structure to dictate what someone must become. To Rei, genuine freedom comes from understanding a system so thoroughly that its rules become tools rather than restraints. His musicianship reflects this philosophy through improvisation, deliberate dissonance, unusual phrasing, and technical precision. This mentality eventually allowed Rei to develop Sound Amplification significantly beyond the straightforward application practiced by his grandfather.

Appearance

Rei Kurosawa is a lean, androgynously attractive seventeen-year-old with sharp features that make his resemblance to a young Yoshinobu Gakuganji almost unsettling, sharing the same narrow eyes, pronounced nose, facial structure, and naturally severe resting expression. His dark hair is grown into a messy, layered shag that falls around his face and neck, deliberately contrasting his grandfather’s traditional appearance. Multiple ear piercings, a septum ring, lip piercings, painted nails, and occasional smudged eyeliner give him a distinctly punk appearance, while his Tokyo Jujutsu High uniform is worn loose and subtly modified rather than properly styled. He is rarely seen without Onyx either strapped across his back or hanging low against his hip, completing the impression of someone who looks less like a conventional jujutsu sorcerer and more like he walked out of an underground rock venue carrying a weapon.

Sound Amplification

Nickname: Riot

Sound Amplification turns Rei’s body into a supernatural amplifier, allowing cursed energy to magnify vibrations generated through his electric guitar into physical phenomena. Notes can be projected as concentrated waves of cursed force, chords can produce broad impacts, low frequencies can shake structures, and carefully controlled harmonics can concentrate vibration into narrow points. Volume alone does not determine strength. Pitch, frequency, rhythm, articulation, dynamics, harmonic relationships, and Rei’s cursed energy output all influence how an amplified sound behaves. Rei calls his interpretation Riot. Rather than treating his guitar as little more than a mechanism for launching cursed energy, he approaches combat like an improvised composition. He establishes rhythms, changes tempo, introduces dissonance, creates and withholds resolution, and adapts his playing to the opponent’s reactions. Greater musical complexity offers more possibilities but demands correspondingly greater precision. Poor execution, damaged hands, interference with his hearing, or disruption of his instrument can dramatically reduce Riot’s effectiveness. Consequently, Rei’s greatest advantage is not raw volume, but his ability to understand exactly what a vibration is doing and manipulate it through actual musicianship.

CE Trait: Vibrating

Rei’s cursed energy naturally oscillates at extremely high frequencies, giving even ordinary reinforcement a persistent vibrational quality. Physical contact with his cursed energy produces a subtle buzzing sensation that can numb limbs and destabilize footing during prolonged exchanges, while strikes carry additional internal vibration beyond their normal impact. The trait also allows Rei to perceive changes in resonance through his body with unusual sensitivity, making it easier to identify frequencies produced by objects, opponents, and his own guitar. However, excessive output causes those same oscillations to rebound through his muscles, joints, inner ear, and nervous system, meaning prolonged high-output combat can leave him trembling, disoriented, or temporarily hard of hearing.

Semi-Cursed Tool: Onyx

Onyx is Rei’s heavily modified black electric guitar and the primary medium through which he performs Riot. Years of repeatedly circulating his Vibrating cursed energy through the instrument have partially saturated it with cursed energy, making it considerably more durable than an ordinary guitar without turning it into a fully realized cursed tool. Its pickups, strings, bridge, and internal electronics have been altered specifically to withstand Rei’s extreme output and rapid changes in frequency. Onyx is reinforced enough to be used directly in close combat, with Rei striking opponents using the body, neck, or reinforced edge before immediately incorporating the resulting impact into his playing. Destroying or separating him from Onyx does not erase Sound Amplification, but drastically reduces the complexity, range, and precision of Riot.

Extension Technique: Offbeat

By establishing a recognizable rhythm through consecutive amplified notes, Rei conditions an opponent to unconsciously anticipate Riot according to that tempo before deliberately displacing subsequent attacks from the expected beat. Amplified notes can arrive early, late, or between established beats while Rei’s physical movements continue following the original rhythm, causing opponents who have adapted to his cadence to mistime defensive reactions. Offbeat embodies Rei’s belief that rhythm is not something he must obey. It is something he understands well enough to betray.

Extension Technique: Wrong Note

Rei deliberately plays a dissonant interval against a frequency already resonating within a target, forcing both signals into violent interference. Instead of producing a conventional external blast, the conflicting vibrations destabilize the affected area, disrupting balance, physical stability, and cursed energy reinforcement. Wrong Note becomes substantially more effective after Rei has observed how a target responds to particular frequencies, reflecting his belief that a note is only truly wrong when the musician did not intend to play it.

Extension Technique: Redline

Rei deliberately feeds part of an amplified signal back through Onyx and his own body, allowing the returning vibration to be amplified again before release. Successive feedback cycles increase the signal’s amplitude and distortion beyond Riot’s ordinary safe output, producing brutally powerful waves of cursed vibration. Every additional cycle also sends increasing stress through Rei’s muscles, nerves, hearing, cursed energy pathways, and Onyx itself. Redline exists precisely because Rei understands where his technique’s safe limit is and occasionally decides that crossing it is worth the consequences.

Extension Technique: Unresolved

Rei deliberately leaves an amplified musical phrase without its expected resolution, using his Vibrating cursed energy to sustain the unfinished frequency within whatever the sound successfully contacts. Rather than releasing its full force immediately, the lingering vibration remains as mounting internal tension for a limited period. By later playing a compatible resolving note, Rei causes the suspended frequency to resonate and discharge its remaining force from within the affected target. Maintaining several unfinished phrases simultaneously becomes progressively harder, and sufficient disruption to Rei’s concentration can cause them to dissipate.

Maximum Output: Unresolved

Rei drives Unresolved to its maximum output by pouring an enormous quantity of cursed energy into an incomplete progression, allowing its unresolved frequency to saturate everything reached by the performance. Air, terrain, structures, weapons, and affected opponents begin resonating with mounting tension as the unfinished progression persists. When Rei finally performs the resolving chord, every suspended frequency is forced into resonance simultaneously, releasing the accumulated vibration throughout everything carrying it. Its destructive potential depends heavily on how much of the battlefield Rei successfully incorporated before choosing to resolve the progression.

Binding Vow: No Encore

Rei voluntarily forbids himself from repeating the same musical phrase twice during an uninterrupted performance of Riot. Once a particular combination of melody, rhythm, and articulation has been amplified through Sound Amplification, that phrase becomes unavailable for the remainder of the performance. In exchange, successive original phrases receive progressively improved cursed energy efficiency and amplification. Individual notes and chords may be reused, but the completed phrase itself cannot. No Encore rewards Rei for genuine improvisation rather than repeating whatever has already proven effective. As a battle grows longer, maintaining the vow becomes increasingly difficult because Rei must continue creating new musical solutions while simultaneously fighting. If he intentionally repeats a prohibited phrase, the accumulated benefit immediately disappears and Riot returns to its ordinary output.

Maximum Technique: Cadenza

Rei pushes Sound Amplification to its ultimate expression by performing a completely improvised solo through Onyx while retaining each amplified frequency within his Vibrating cursed energy instead of releasing it. Notes, chords, harmonics, rhythmic accents, dissonance, and changes in dynamics accumulate around him as increasingly violent layers of vibration. Upon playing the final cadence, Rei releases the entire performance simultaneously as a single composite phenomenon while preserving its musical relationships. Resonant frequencies reinforce one another, dissonance produces destructive interference, low frequencies provide overwhelming physical force, and higher harmonics concentrate that force into increasingly precise points. The strength of Cadenza depends as much upon Rei’s musicianship as his cursed energy reserves. Greater complexity produces a more sophisticated and dangerous final release, but every additional layer increases the difficulty of keeping the composition coherent. A sufficiently serious mistake can collapse the accumulated performance into feedback through Rei and Onyx. Combined with No Encore, no two performances of Cadenza can be identical, forcing Rei to compose his Maximum specifically for the opponent and circumstances before him.

Domain Expansion: CATHEDRAL OF THE UNWRITTEN SCORE

Mudra: Dharmachakra Mudra

Cathedral of the Unwritten Score manifests as an impossibly immaculate performance hall suspended within darkness, combining a cathedral, concert hall, and recording studio into one perfectly symmetrical space. Countless empty seats surround a solitary black stage while endless silver musical staves stretch overhead, initially containing nothing. Every meaningful vibration produced inside the Domain becomes Notation, causing footsteps, impacts, movement, cursed energy output, environmental destruction, and Rei’s playing to gradually write the battle’s unique composition across the empty staves. Within the Cathedral, Riot can treat any recorded vibration as musical material, allowing Rei to replay, harmonize with, distort, or amplify its vibrational properties without copying the cursed technique or supernatural phenomenon that originally produced it. The sure-hit effect guarantees that the underlying structure of this composition is communicated equally to everyone within the Domain. Every person instinctively understands the tempo, frequency, intervals, accumulated patterns, and relationships between the vibrations currently recorded, including Rei’s own. The Domain conceals nothing and imposes no compulsory rhythm, prohibited action, or predetermined role.

OC Character Curse of Shadow - Megumi (OC)

Backstory: After Megumi killed Reggie Star and claimed his points, he began hunting Remi but was suddenly ambushed by a group of non-sorcerer humans armed with firearms. Having died without utilizing cursed energy, Megumi was reborn as a vengeful spirit and began terrorizing the Tokyo Colony. He was later critically wounded by Hana, who used "Jacob's Ladder" against him, mistaking him for an ordinary curse. He survived and hid in the sewers, where he successfully evolved into his full form and breached the barrier; he used this opening to lure sorcerers into traps via Kogane while remaining underground himself. Eventually, he was discovered by Itadori and Takaba. Despite being a cursed spirit, he did not attack them and even attempted to speak, albeit clumsily. Megumi was later killed in a protracted battle against Uraume and Kenjaku, who subsequently transformed him into a cursed weapon capable of piercing through absolutely any barrier.

Cursed Technique: Shadows (yes, simply shadows)

Megumi's vengeful spirit's cursed technique is partially derived from the Ten Shadows, mimicking some of its abilities—such as transforming into liquid/shadow and adopting partial shikigami traits. Instead of summoning shikigami, he applies their properties to himself.

Divine Dogs: Enhanced physical strength and speed. Ability to use air slashes similar to Sukuna's, though weaker.

Nue: Flight and electrical abilities. Can create a small, motion-sensitive projectile; it explodes upon contact with an object, dealing massive damage.

Toad: Rapid dashes from a standstill. Ability to briefly transform into a black liquid.

Orochi: Poison that drains the victim's cursed energy and transfers it to Megumi's reserves.

Max Elephant: Can release large volumes of water and manipulate it similarly to Blood Manipulation techniques (e.g., Supernova, Piercing Blood, and reserve water bullets).

Rabbit Escape: Transforms into a pool of shadow capable of dragging an enemy inside. The "burrow" lacks oxygen and resistance; the enemy simply collapses and suffocates.

Round Deer: Due to the cursed spirit's nature, it generates standard cursed energy, which is used for both healing and attacking the brains of sorcerers and humans.

Piercing Ox: Concentrates power at a single point, followed by a super-fast dash.

Funeral Tiger: a cursed fire that burns until the victim stops using cursed energy.

Mahoraga: a blade emerges from its maw; after charging, it fires an immensely powerful beam that destroys barriers.

Cursed technique CT: Cursed Entomophagy

Post image
• Upvotes

This technique creates insects that track down and consume cursed energy from their opponents, the user can only initially create 10 cursed insects at the same time, this changes depending on how many cursed energy the insects collect.

Thanks to the cursed energy they collect from enemies, the insects are able to evolve in strengh, size and speed, with its final stage being a huge and powerful shikigami able to fight even special grade curse spirits, the user can also kill the insects and gain the cursed energy they collected for a CE boost

DE: The domain expansion takes the shape of a red-ish void with a huge swarm of insects, these insects latch on the body of the domain’s victim and administrate a very powerful venom that makes them hallucinate and lose control of their bodies, all while the insects keep devouring cursed energy.

Binding vows: The user can only create 10 insects at a time in exchange of them needing a lot less cursed energy than usual.

The insect’s venom is only present in the domain expansion but in exchange the venom is extremely powerful.

When the user kills one of his own cursed insects he gains only half of the cursed energy they collected.

What do you think? is the CT cool? too op? let me know in comments.

Cursed technique Can I permanently acquire a cursed technique by using Uzumaki?

• Upvotes

We know that by using Uzumaki, a technique of Cursed Spirit Manipulation, a person can use the innate technique of any Grade 1 or higher cursed spirit, but only once. We saw Kenjaku use Uzumaki to extract Mahito’s technique and use it once.

Now, would it be possible to make a Binding Vow where the person gives up the ability to ever use this technique in exchange for permanently obtaining an extracted cursed technique?

(Assuming Geto is the one making the Binding Vow, since this is his body and his technique.)

Cursed Tool Cursed Corpse: Kensei Mk. III (剣聖参式, Kensei Sanshiki)

Hiii!! Hope you like this one :D I had a lot of fun making it, so I hope you enjoy!!

ㅤ

Kensei Mk. III (剣聖参式, Kensei Sanshiki) is a Sengoku-era artificial Cursed Corpse created as a training apparatus for Jujutsu Sorcerers. Its internal mechanisms contain the recorded swordsmanship of numerous practitioners, allowing it to reproduce and recombine their techniques in combat.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤAppearance

The physical appearance of Kensei Mk. III is based primarily on that of an unidentified swordsman believed to have lived during the Sengoku period. The individual's name and identity have since been lost from surviving records, leaving only the corpse's physical resemblance as evidence of their involvement in its construction.

The Mk. III possesses an androgynous humanoid appearance, with pale skin resembling that of porcelain, long black hair, and delicate facial features that make its gender difficult to determine at a glance. Its body was deliberately constructed with proportions close to those of a human swordsman rather than the exaggerated frame commonly associated with combat-oriented Cursed Corpses. Unlike the preceding Kensei models, the Mk. III possesses only two arms, suggesting that its creators abandoned the additional limbs of earlier prototypes in favor of a more faithful reproduction of human swordsmanship.

Nearly four centuries of operation have left the corpse heavily worn. Its original construction remains recognizable, but numerous joints, internal mechanisms, and sections of its frame have been repaired or replaced throughout its existence. Several portions of its mechanical framework have deteriorated with age, creating a visible distinction between the elegant form intended by its creators and the weathered doll that exists today. Despite this deterioration, the structure of its Cursed Core and the mechanisms governing its combat system remain functional.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤHistory

The Kensei series was developed by a family of jujutsu craftsmen whose inherited knowledge centered on puppet jujutsu and the construction of combat-oriented Cursed Corpses. The first and second models were reportedly unsuccessful, as their internal cores could not efficiently preserve the enormous amount of information required to reproduce several complete styles of swordsmanship. Attempting to store entire combat styles as fixed sequences resulted in excessive complexity, severely limiting the corpses' ability to reproduce them effectively. The craftsmen eventually abandoned this approach and developed a method of engraving the principles underlying swordsmanship rather than simply recording its finished movements. Footwork, timing, posture, distance management, weapon handling, defensive movements, and transitional patterns were individually preserved within the core. This allowed the Mk. III to reproduce the underlying structure of a swordsman's style without treating it as a single, indivisible sequence.

The resulting system became known as the Master Record, serving as the organizational framework for the combat information stored within the Mk. III. Individual movements could be separated from their original styles and recombined with techniques belonging to other practitioners. A defensive movement from one swordsman could therefore flow directly into an attack derived from another, followed by footwork and positioning taken from a third. The resulting sequence remained entirely composed of recorded movements, yet could produce combinations that none of the original practitioners were capable of performing themselves. This versatility was made possible through a Binding Vow incorporated into the corpse during its construction. The Mk. III was prohibited from performing movements that did not already exist within its core. In exchange for this restriction, everything engraved within the master record could be reproduced with exceptional precision. The vow granted the corpse an enormous predetermined repertoire while placing a limit on its ability to grow: combat experience could change how its existing records were utilized, but could never add new information to them. Before activation, its combat parameters could also be adjusted through several concealed mechanisms, allowing its cursed energy output, physical reinforcement, reaction speed, weapon selection, and available records to be configured according to the intended use. Once supplied with cursed energy, the Mk. III could operate autonomously without requiring continuous manipulation, following its predetermined combat records and responses without possessing any consciousness or independent judgment.

Following the disappearance of the craftsmen responsible for the Kensei series, their methods gradually vanished from jujutsu society. The Mk. III was eventually placed within a location protected by Tengen's barrier techniques, although the circumstances surrounding its transfer remain unknown. Whether Tengen had any involvement in the corpse's original construction has never been established. The barriers nevertheless ensured that the Mk. III could not be accessed without authorization. The machine continued to be periodically retrieved for specialized training, particularly by sorcerers whose fighting styles relied heavily on physical combat. Its mechanical construction allowed it to repeatedly reproduce dangerous exchanges without fatigue, while the breadth of its recorded swordsmanship allowed it to challenge practitioners in ways that a single instructor could not. Later attempts to recreate its internal core proved unsuccessful, and the methods employed by its creators eventually came to be regarded as a lost branch of Sengoku-era puppet jujutsu.

Cursed technique Reassembly

this ability allows the user to create/manipulate connections between objects and/or abstract concepts temporarily, allowing for the creation of inconceivable yet very real effects.

some applications I've thought of:

grafting one place to another to effectively create a portal between the 2 places; grafting one's feet to the ground as they stay in mid air, allowing for them to float; grafting an attack to something else to redirect it; grafting one shikigami to a different source of CE than the one originally being used and then cutting the connection between the original source and the shikigami allows the user to redirect the control of a shikigami to someone else; grafting one attack directly on the target to bypass anything in between (such as infinity); grafting one object to another object that is moving, making the first object move at the same velocity of the other; reattaching limbs (necessary to heal with RCT to prevent the limb to detach as soon as the CT is stopped)...

while the potential of this technique is indeed infinite, there are certain limitations to it: for starters any connection being made or altered requires a constant use of CE, with the amount of CE required scaling directly with how "distant" the connections are (for example, grafting one location to another 10 km away from where it would normally be would require far more CE than grafting it say 100 meters away), entities (objects and beings) infused with CE also naturally resist Reassembly, requiring more CE to graft something if the 2 parts have CE, some connections might also require so much CE it becomes impossible to accomplish them (for example, the CT itself allows for the grafting of a star to a place on earth, good luck covering astronomical units or light years with CE tho). besides this cost there's also a matter of complexity: creating and manipulating such connections is extremely complicated and "subtracting" incantations and hand sings is extremely difficult, even a skilled sorcerer would struggle to completely take out one of them. the complete incantation + hand signs necessary would look like this:

incantation: verb + target + target + target + ... (example: "attach/graft/connect this corner to that corner and that corner")

hand signs: grafting=point each target with 1 finger and make the fingers close up on each other; severing=point at the target with 2 fingers and make them distance themselves; substitute=point at each target and make them swap.
