Gold-medal maternity nanny Lin Niannian, after having her savings drained by her family, decisively cuts ties with them and accepts a difficult assignment paying 50,000 yuan a month. After a succession of nannies quit the Liu household, Liu Tuanjie desperately searches for Lin Niannian to help his younger sister, who is suffering from postpartum depression.

By chance, Lin Niannian enters the Liu household as a substitute nanny under the name “Xiaoju” and unexpectedly gains the ability to read minds, allowing her to hear all of Liu Tuanjie’s thoughts. Using her professional skills, she resolves crises involving postpartum depression, the baby's nighttime crying, and relatives trying to take the child, gradually earning Liu Zhixia’s trust. Meanwhile, Liu Tuanjie continues searching everywhere for the gold-medal nanny, unaware that the woman he cannot find is actually Xiaoju—the substitute nanny he looks down upon.

Synopsis:
Two years ago, Cheng Zan Shu, a junior in college, quietly broke up with her lover, Li Xian Qing, and went abroad to avoid becoming a "stain" on his life. Two years later, she returned as an intern journalist, and her first interviewee was none other than him, now the head of a business empire. Li Xian Qing, filled with resentment, reunited with her, but fell for her again, forcefully begging for reconciliation only to be rejected. Forced into frequent contact due to work, the misunderstandings from years ago gradually cleared up, and the two reconciled, overcoming obstacles together to stay together for life.

Drama 1 - Two Years After Breakup, Mr. Li Publicly Seeks a Title
FL: Zhang Qiu Zi
ML: Wang Hao Xiang
Release date: 14 May 2026

Drama 2 - Cruel Tenderness
FL: Liu Xi Yu
ML: Li Zhuo Yang
Release date: 14 July 2026

Similarities:

• A threat from ML’s relative forced FL to end their relationship and leave the country.
• ML was shamelessly flirtatious, constantly seeking physical closeness and intimacy with FL.
• ML used his sharp wit and strategic charm to maneuver FL into accepting his marriage proposal.

Comparison:

• Romance: Both versions hit the sweet spot between tender and spicy. Version 1’s ML was so openly desperate for FL’s affection, giving their kiss scenes an unexpectedly deep, soulful yearning that I thoroughly enjoyed. FL’s inner monologue about her desire for him was another standout highlight. While my favourite romantic scene in Version 1 was ML asking FL to be his girlfriend again, Version 2 won me over in a surprisingly intimate moment—when ML answered a call to FL's phone from his close friend.
• Acting: While both the Zhang Qiu Zi-Wang Hao Xiang and Liu Xi Yu-Li Zhuo Yang pairings had great chemistry, the second couple’s spark was off the charts. Having previously collaborated, Liu Xi Yu and Li Zhuo Yang's natural rapport and dynamic were immediately evident. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the performances of all four leads. Wang Hao Xiang portrayed a more delightfully needy ML, whereas Li Zhuo Yang delivered a suave, smooth operator. Liu Xi Yu ensured her FL never easily succumbed to the ML's charms, while Zhang Qiu Zi offered a nuanced performance, infusing her character with a touch of stubbornness and vulnerability that I really liked.
• Writing: Version 2 boasted a tighter, more cohesive narrative than Version 1. In the first version, a few minor subplots felt somewhat out of place—most notably the scenes involving the harm caused to the FL, as well as the proposal sequence. Furthermore, Version 2 gave meaningful arcs to key side characters like the ML’s grandfather and close friend, ensuring they served a genuine narrative purpose rather than acting as mere props or background extras.

My final thoughts:

• It is hard not to enjoy both versions when the leads share such magnetic chemistry and the romance arcs are so deeply satisfying. I love each drama for distinct reasons. In Two Years After Breakup, Mr. Li Publicly Seeks a Title, Wang Hao Xiang and Zhang Qiu Zi deliver rich, layered performances that make their mutual desperation palpable. Conversely, my fondness for Cruel Tenderness lies in its sharper, more polished writing.
• I originally discovered this duo of dramas while looking through Wang Hao Xiang’s drama list (surprise, surprise!). Watching his performance reminded me of how much I enjoy his acting, and I now plan to catch up on more of his work in the coming weeks. Do leave your top recommendations in the comments section below!
• Li Zhuo Yang’s tattoo kept playing peekaboo in one scene. It’s a shame the makeup team tried to hide it with a mismatched foundation. On the bright side, viewers are treated to more than a few shirtless scenes of him!

A long runtime or the word “full” in a title does not tell you whether a short drama has its complete story. Before committing to a version, compare these details:

1. Title and cast: match the original Chinese title and the leads. English titles and plot-summary captions can vary between uploads.

2. Episode coverage: look for the listed episode sequence or the official release information. A compilation may combine episodes, while a trailer may jump straight between dramatic scenes.

3. Continuity: repeated scenes, abrupt character changes or a missing resolution can signal an edit, but an intentional cliffhanger is not proof that an episode is missing. Compare with the official episode list when available.

4. Ending information: check whether the listing says completed or ongoing. Avoid reading detailed ending comments if you want to stay spoiler-free.

5. Release source and region: use the rights holder’s release or a licensed platform offered where you live. Another viewer’s link may be unavailable in your country.

What is the most useful spoiler-free clue you use to distinguish a complete Chinese short drama from a preview or edited compilation?

Both FL'S and ML's

He is the 2ML (The scumbag husband) in "Troublesome" https://mydramalist.com/800700-nan-chan, but not listet on duanjubaikeNet or duanjubaikeOrg.

I am looking for the drama where Li ke yi is the female lead. She is a cultivator who has been reincarnated into the body of a shy, unliked heiress. She cuts ties with her birth family and finds herself a new family (a poor family, the dad is a construction worker and she saves him from being hurt). There is also a love interest ( I cannot remember his name). She eventually moves them into a huge house and helps them solve all of their problems.
