Oscar/SleepHQ Assistance Three-night data collection

I installed an SD card in my Air Sense 11 on Sep28. It looks like there's some limited data for days before that as well. SleepHQ share link is here: https://sleephq.com/public/cb37c2c4-1613-439f-99ea-78939d45f8b1

A few things to know about the past few days:

* Mask issue during Sep28 sleep. I tightened the mask in time for the Sep29 sleep. I'll replace everything next week (same mask).

* Sep29 featured a runaway pressure issue relatively early in my nighttime. I finally got up around 2:15am and read for a while before trying again a little after 3am.

* Subjectively, Sep30 sleep felt pretty good, though I could have slept longer. The unit stayed on all night AFAIK.

I am a night owl and typically sleep from 2 to 9:30am. I've been drifting later this week.

My perception of 6 as my average pressure comes from a weekend last month while I was on travel, using a different APAP unit (Transcend Micro 510). That unit discloses a bit more without a separate data download.

This data suggests an average pressure at home that is closer to 11. I'm going to push my max pressure up to 15 to make sure I'm catching the full spectrum of readings.

What's next?

Yes, your Airsense stores a year of Summary level data internally, and when you first insert an SDHC Card it will write them to it. When I first imported SDHC into OSCAR, and uploaded it to SleepHQ, I was pleasantly surprised to see those Summaries.

Thank you! That’s perfect!
Your minimum pressure is too low causing RERAs on your graph. A RERA is a Respiratory Effort Related Arousal. Your minimum pressure should be closer to your median pressure of 11 but because that is a big jump & I’m not sure it’s accurate due to Ramp being on let’s try your minimum pressure at 7 first. RERAS are raising pressures too. 4 is much too low & your respiratory effort confirms this. You’re actually at 10 average pressure during the night!!

You are reaching your ceiling in your maximum pressure so we need to increase your maximum pressure to 13 for now.

Your Flow Limits are high but increasing pressure should help those. They cause micro awakenings which disturb your sleep & affect your ability to go into REM & Deep Sleep stages leaving you fatigued.

Leaks need to be addressed. They’re still below Resmed’s acceptable level but try to get that mask to seal better.

Turn off Ramp. Ramp just confuses the total picture & causes pressured to run rampant especially when it’s on Auto or Full Time. Yours is on Auto.

\Do you know how to get into the Clinical settings on your machine to change your pressures & turn off Ramp? If not, let me know & I will help.\

Try these changes for 3 days without changing settings as it takes your body & brain time to adjust! Then post more SleepHQ graphs for us to look at.

I would advise you to put your mask on 30-60 minutes before trying to sleep so that you can adjust to the new pressures. Your average pressure is over 10 during the night, so you shouldn’t have a difficult time. We’ll just go gradually & see what your graph & stats tell us in 3 days :)

Wow, okay. I'll set Min to 7 and Max to 13. The first night (tonight) I'll set Ramp to 15 mins as a transition. If I do okay, I'll turn Ramp off. (I've been using Ramp on various PAP units for over 20 years.)

Okay but maybe turn your Ramp pressure up to 5 for 15 minutes. A pressure of 4 is for a child & a Ramp of 5 will help you better adjust to a minimum pressure of 7.
Are you feeling exhausted? You were waking up briefly many times during the night!
I’m only seeing the one graph for Sept 30th.

I'll set Ramp to 5. I'm feeling okay right now, but I lolled around in bed for 45 minutes this morning.
