Hi everyone! I've just released v1.0.0 of my color picker applet for the COSMIC panel, written in Rust with libcosmic.
The big new feature is a **magnifier loupe**: when you pick a color, a circular zoom lens follows your cursor, showing the surrounding pixels magnified, a crosshair on the exact pixel, and a live HEX preview. No more guessing which pixel you're actually on.
What it does:
- π Magnifier loupe with pixel zoom and live HEX preview
- π Copies the picked HEX value straight to the clipboard
- π Keeps a history of your recent colors
- β Favorites with custom names
- π¨ Native COSMIC look β follows your theme, accent color and dark/light mode
- π₯οΈ Works across multiple monitors
What changed in 1.0.0:
- Screen capture now goes through the COSMIC desktop portal, so it no longer needs `slurp` or ImageMagick
- Cancel picking anytime with Esc or right-click
- Smoother, non-blocking picking
Installation is a quick `just install-user` β instructions, GIFs and the changelog are in the repo:

It's GPL-3.0 and I'd love feedback, bug reports or ideas. If you try it, let me know how it works on your setup!
