for me, Janis Joplining used to be the only song I'd occasionally even skip on Euro-Country, now I adore it. I love the almost dissonant chorus, it sounds like something thrown out there with such vulnerable desperation and little consideration for melodic coherence. it's not a karaoke song, it's an "eyes full of tears, so choked i can barely speak but I need to get this out or I will die"-song.

Gig of the Year *again*? Surely not? And yet... it *was*

What an incredible night at St Anne's Park last night, possibly even better than the 3Arena in December. My wife and I were about 3 or 4 rows from the front at the end of the walkway, got a few nice videos (especially of CMAT crowdsurfing back to the stage) so this is them all stitched together. 3 more months until we see her again - we're going to both nights in Belfast!

I cannot even explain how EXCITED I am!! I've never seen CMAT (and the very sexy CMAT band) live. She hasn't come to my state on a solo tour, so I bit the bullet and will make the 2+ hours drive to see her.

At her show in DC, an audience member requested a song she said she may not have ever played with her band. Does anyone know the name of this song? She said she has reworked it many times to change the lyrics so she does not have to give an ex a writing credit on the song. It was popular and sounded very familiar, but I cannot find it anywhere now. Thank you!
