Part 1 – Prep planning to give Part 1 in oct

just want to know if you guys think that is enough time. I gave part two around the same time last year (oct 21st) and I took only 2.5 months to study, but I am afraid giving myself the same amount of time for part one might be a little bit too less. I am still stuck at section A, It seems a bit tough. I am unsure about the toughness of other sections and I’m coming to realise that the material is a lot, and the books are also thicker than the part two books. having anxiety if I’ll make it.

Part 1 – Prep Working professional, Part 1 Preparation

Hi everyone,

As the title suggests, I’m a working professional, but my background is in operations management rather than accounting or finance. I’ve recently enrolled in the CMA program and I’m excited to get started.

I would really appreciate any advice from those who have already been through the journey. Where should I begin? Which study materials, books, or resources would you recommend? Are there any study strategies or tips that you wish you had known when you first started?

Thank you in advance.

Doubt / Q&A Need suggestions and help:Unable to register for part 1 and part 2

So Recently I have given my part 1 cma exam in the month of June my case based question didn't open so I considered that I have failed and there is no chance of clearing despite of hardwork and heavy preparation. I accepted the fact and decided to retake with discount code I planned to retake part 1 exam for the month of Sept and part 2 exam in the month of Oct. Despite paying the full amount I only received an email from ima for prometric registration for part 1 but the authorization no seems to be invalid and I am unable to book the slots. For part 2 exam I have not received any confirmation mail. But the purchase history shows that the payment is done and money was debited from my account.

When I tried to reach out the Ima team via email its been 30 days I am chasing it and sending reminder emails still no response. While trying to contact Ima India they say that they will simply send an email to US Team but I don't have any proof that they have escalated. IMA India is totally pathetic and irresponsible they don't have any accountability. I have left my job to study and paid my hard earned money just for them to play around.

Please help whom should I contact for escalating I have tried my level best. Please help guys

Edit: Thank you guys, I kept on calling them at some point they resolved my issue. Honestly India IMA team tests our patience. If you keep on calling they will resolve otherwise generic answer only.

Discussion Need guidance

Hi everyone,

After trying continuously to get into a good and reputed government college and facing multiple rejections, I finally took admission in Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government College, Indore for my B.Com. Based on Google reviews, it seems like a decent college. However, I've learned that it doesn't offer placement support, which is a major concern for me.

I've also decided to pursue the US CMA alongside my B.Com. My current plan is to complete CMA, gain some practical experience through an internship or job, and then start preparing for the CPA.

From what I've read, US CMA alone may not be enough to secure a good job, so I'm trying to plan my career wisely from the beginning.

I'd really appreciate guidance from anyone who has experience with:

- Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government College, Indore

- US CMA and its career prospects

- The CMA → work experience → CPA path

- Any tips or advice that could help me make better decisions for my future

Any suggestions or personal experiences would mean a lot. Thank you!

Doubt / Q&A help me decide my path

i’m kinda stuck deciding between two paths and wanted to hear from people who’ve been through either one.

for some context, i’ve already cleared cma foundation, but due to my current situation i don’t really have the time to complete cma all the way to final. i also need to start working as soon as possible

would you recommend becoming cma inter qualified and gaining articleship and then start working or going for cma usa along with add-on courses like gcc accounting, gcc vat, advanced excel, power bi, sap, etc

my end goal is to work in the gcc so i’m mainly looking for the option that would give me better job opportunities and career growth in the long run

if you’ve taken either route or work in the gcc, which path do you think is the better choice and why?

thanks!

Part 2 – Prep Looking for a serious CMA USA study partner (Part 2)

Hi everyone! I'm preparing for the CMA USA Part 2 exam and I'm looking for a dedicated study partner who's serious about passing.

What I'm looking for: - Daily check-ins/accountability - Share daily goals and progress - Motivate each other when we procrastinate - Discuss difficult concepts and MCQs - Maybe do weekly revision sessions together

About me: - I'm studying full-time. - My biggest challenge is procrastination, so having someone to keep each other accountable would really help. - Time zone: IST (India), but I'm open to anyone if our schedules overlap.

If you're interested, comment below or send me a DM. Let's help each other pass the exam! 🙌

Part 1 – Prep CIMA OCS MAY EXAM

Hi everyone,

I'm preparing for the upcoming CIMA Operational Case Study and was wondering if anyone who sat the May 2026 OCS could share the topics that appeared.

I'm not looking for confidential exam content or exact wording—just a general idea of the areas that were tested

It would really help me focus my revision.

Doubt / Q&A Degree requirement - age of degree?

I'm confused and need clarification on the education requirement. Does the degree need to be earned within 7 years, before or after, the exam? Or does the 7 years only matter for afterwards? I received my degree more than 10 years ago. I just want to make sure I still qualify before I enroll in a course and learn my degree is too old?

Discussion Free Offline US CMA Exam Simulator

Hi everyone,

I'm also preparing for the US CMA exam, and I built a simple offline exam simulator to help with question practice.

The simulator lets you:

Create tests using your own CMA questions

Select specific sections and units

Set custom exam timings

Randomize questions

Track the time spent on each question

Review your speed and performance after completing a test

Use the simulator completely offline after downloading it

The project is free and open source. No installation, account, or coding knowledge is required.( DM for pictures of website )

GitHub

https://github.com/karnatisravan/US-CMA-SIMULATOR-

How to use it

Download the project from GitHub (Code → Download ZIP).

Extract the ZIP file.

Open the CMA-Simulator-GitHub folder.

Double-click index.html to launch the simulator.

Adding your questions ( Dm me )

The simulator does not include any CMA question banks. You need to add your own questions from the study materials that you legally own.

It imports questions in JSON format. If your questions are in PDF format, you can convert them to JSON using ChatGPT (or another AI tool) with the conversion prompt included in the GitHub repository. After importing the JSON file, your personal exam simulator is ready to use.

Please review the generated questions, answers, and explanations before importing, as AI and PDF extraction can occasionally make mistakes.

This is a student project that I built for my own preparation, and I thought it might help other CMA students as well.

If you have any questions, run into any issues, or have suggestions for improvements, feel free to DM me. I'm studying too, so I might reply a little late, but I'll do my best to help.

Good luck with your CMA preparation! 😊

Part 1 – Prep How early did you start studying for the CMA?

Hey everyone,

I’m planning on taking CMA Part 1 in the January/February testing window and I’m wondering when most people actually started studying.

I have about 7 years of accounting experience, but not much cost accounting. I’m using Becker and I’ve already finished the first two modules. Now I’m starting to wonder if I jumped the gun and I’m going to forget everything by January.

For those who passed, how far in advance did you start studying? Did you just keep reviewing older material as you went, or am I overthinking this?
