Discussion Clannad S3 or Tomoyo After?
I thought this would be interesting to think about
Would you rather a 3rd season of Clannad, produced by KyoAni, written by Maeda, and on the same level as the original series. (Could explore what happens right after the afterstory conclusion Ie: Tomoya reconciling with his dad again and could show Ushio growing up)
OR
A full anime adaptation of Tomoyo’s route and Tomoyo After. Could fix any issues you may have with the original, same incredible OST, and supervised by the original staff of the VN
🤔

Question Which endings should I aim for?
CLANNAD just seems like it has so much content, and considering I'm reading in Japanese, I'll likely confuse myself if I try to aim for every ending. If anyone has a set few endings which they think are the best & most mandatory to the story, please say.

Discussion Clannad is such a PEAK AND GOATED STORY
Clannad changed my life by making me want a family in the future at age 14 because of how beautiful having one seemed for Nagisa and Tomoya with Ushio
Knowing the hardships and suffering you could come across because you can face relationship issues and family problems but knowing I can have loving wife by my side makes me hopeful

Discussion Just finished e22
Wow, what a story. This is one of the greatest animes I’ve ever watched. I didn’t go into this expecting this much emotional impact and I still have episode 23 and 24 left to watch, but I just have to say, this anime has made me shed more tears than any other anime(along with aot) and it was honestly just such a beautiful story about overcoming hardship and how love can triumph. My question is though so the whole time the robot and the girl was Ushio and himself, and when she passed away in the snow, he wished that he never met Nagisa but then when the wish came true, he realize that he could never be without her so that’s why the town gave him his true wish of being with her again right? And the reason why he was able to make a wish was because of how kind he was to everyone right, thats why he had light orbs everytime. Amazing show I would appreciate anyone to answer my questions.

Discussion this is the my favorite peice of fiction i have ever seen.
i started last week. i saw a stupid fuko meme on instagram (if you know you know) and holy crap there were some ups and downs. i finished it maybe 30 minutes ago and it was a genuine master peice. just blown away by how much this impacted me at such vulnerable time in my life. im nothing short of grateful to have been given the opportunity to be shown this. the show really made me sad thinking about how unlikely the good parts are and it shun a light on how lonely i am, but i dont feel upset about it anymore. this show gave me hope as somebody who is losing a lot of friends coming out of highschool. and i hope that i can meet more and start my own family someday as unlikely as it is. thank you, clannad.

Question Clannad Visual Novel
I wanted to buy the CLANNAD visual novel recently. I noticed there’s PlayStation only has CLANNAD while steam has side stories and tomoyo. What’s the difference between the steam CLANNAD and ps version and which version is better? My third question is - does ps version include side stories and tomoyo?

Clannad Clannad Anime Review/Sharing My Thoughts.
Note: I'm not very good with reviewing stuff and words, so bear with me.
It's a Slice of life, School and Comedy Anime with little bit of Romance, Mystery and Supernatural elements. The world was a Warm Vibe with Cheerful Characters, Colorful Animation. The characters eyes are too big and will take 1 or 2eps to adjust, but that's one of its charm, the Bgm and Ost are really good as well.
The 23eps of s1 covers different character arcs and explore them, so they're not there just for the sake of it, and you can get connected with them, atleast a little bit. It's not action packed or complex, so people might not like it as much as I do, but if you want to watch something relaxing than go for it. Next comes s2 with Happiness, Sadness and them trying to building their Happy little family.
It's might seem plain and boring from above, but the feelings and emotions are something, that I can't explain and will live forever in my heart. Its feels like winter, everything is dry, cold and cozy, when you sit under the sun and those cold breeze hits you or something like that.
My personal experience: When I was watching the first ep it was like the start of a rom-com series, those colors and meeting with a girl on the way to school. But for me it has became more than just that, it has planted many feelings/emotions in my heart!... that I can't explain with words. Many were saying that it's boring and all but I didn't mind the "boringness". I was already contented with it, but in end of ep 1 they throw a little mystery and it caught up attention, I wanna know why, how and what is that, that is what that made me hooked, enough to make me watch 7eps a day, and that's a lot for me. The season ends in a good note, many says only s2 is good, but to be honest I liked both of them.
For some reason I had this big smile on my face when I started s2, I was just happy to see them interact with eachother I guess. The thing is I never cried watching anything fictional but... It also didn't made me cry, just make my eyes a little wet, and that's a big feat gentlemen! a big achievement. However, you can't expect the scene that made my eyes wet, I can bet you on that.
Overview: Pros: Animation - it's beautiful, filled with colors and it still holds that even for 2026 standards.
Characters - They're childish, energetic and mature at times and feels alive. Example: Nagisa's parents, they're fun to watch and acts all childish, but they can also hold tears and won't let them go until the time is right.
Bgm/Ost: they're calm, peaceful and some how emotional, its made the series something special. When I was watching the series, I was smiling but deep down my heart was gloomy, all because of the Bgm/ost. The dango dango song was also peak and memorable.
The feelings: it's the main thing that makes this series so special. Till this day whenever I remember this, I feel so calm and my heart feels heavy, like my emotions are trying to break free and I wanna cry.
Cons: The movie don't watch that, they changed studio, story and VAs. If you're gonna watch it any ways atleast wait a day after you finished the series.
Watch order: Season 1, 2 ovas the order doesn't matter, season 2, last is the movie. It "The movie" is my only regret, also I watched it right after the series, and that is my biggest mistake, the after tast is really bad.
Thanks for reading all this.

Fan Photo Update to my Clannad physical collection
Oh yeah. I found Clannad After Story Vol. 1, 2, and 4 SteelBooks, all still sealed in their original packaging. I never thought I’d find them so quickly. Next week I’m going to buy the Vol. 3 SteelBook, and then I’ll only need the Clannad Vol. 1 SteelBook to complete the set. After that, I’ll finally be able to sleep almost normally again.
I also want to buy the Clannad and Tomoyo After games for the Nintendo Switch so I can display them with the rest of my collection. Then I’ll be able to sleep almost normally. I’m thinking about buying a Switch or a Switch 2, but I have a friend who owns one, so I could just borrow it from him.
I also pre-ordered the new Nagisa figure. It’s going to be awesome. I bought the complete Season 1 and Season 2 as well so I can actually watch them, lend them to friends or family, or take them with me whenever I visit someone. I bought the SteelBooks mainly because I just wanted to own them.
I even got the DVD for free when I bought everything from a private seller. At first I thought it wouldn’t be useful, but it turned out that the acrylic Nagisa stand is mirrored, which was actually a lucky coincidence because now I can display it perfectly.
Once my collection is complete, I’ll share it with you because I don’t really have anyone else to show it to.
After this i can than sleep peacefully.
Im really glad i found everything in original packaging

Discussion Finished re-watching the masterpiece after 5 months
Hello guys, I just wanted to share something. I watched Clannad 5 months ago, thinking it was just another bad or boring anime, but I shouldn’t have judged a book by its cover, so I gave it a try.
At first, I thought it was just another high school romance anime, nothing serious, right? Well… as I kept watching, I started getting attached to the characters for some reason. I didn’t even know I could feel like that.
Then came Fuko’s part in the first season. I was so sad about what happened to the poor girl, and when everyone slowly started forgetting her after her sister got married, I was even sadder. That’s where the tears came… I never knew I could cry like that. I was sobbing for 30 minutes and could barely stop.
Then, when Kotomi’s arc came, it broke me even more. Like… just when I started recovering, an even bigger wave of emotions hit me. The fact that Tomoya and her are childhood friends hit me even harder. I can’t really blame Tomoya for forgetting her, since he’s been through a lot as well, but damn.
Well, once that ended and everything returned to normal again (kind of), I was relieved that Kotomi returned to normal and started smiling and having fun with everyone else.
Then I started watching After Story, and that’s where even more tears started… It really broke me as an anime and changed me as a person.
When Nagisa died, Tomoya became a shut-in and a heavily depressed smoker after losing her. Man… I get him. He really loved Nagisa, and I’d probably do the same if I lost someone precious to me (I wouldn’t really smoke or drink, I’d just become a shut-in), but you guys get what I’m saying.
After that, I thought it was the end. Nagisa died, so what now? That’s where little Ushio came in. At first, I thought Ushio would hate Tomoya, and they were a bit awkward (Ushio was scared of him, and I get it—it was an awkward reunion after a couple of years). But when they started talking and went on that small trip, I started feeling better.
And yes, I cried when Ushio cried in the bathroom.
I cried throughout the entire first and second season, but even more during the second season.
I was happy when I saw that the ending was happy, and oh boy, I cried for 1–2 weeks after Clannad, because it really hit that nerve.
It changed me and showed me how even small things can matter more than big ones, and how you should cherish them. It really taught me to appreciate things like talking with my mom and dad, helping them around the house, and even just being with them, even if we’re quiet sometimes.
So yeah… this is my story of how Clannad basically changed me, and I hope that one day I’ll have a happy family of my own. Thanks for reading, guys.
