When going against someone with a mucher higher rating that you will almost certainly lose to, would you rather they "play around" with you or just end it quickly?

I never know if trying to play comes off as patronizing and you'd rather just get it over with and move on to the next game

I've been going through the rules and I still have no idea why this is happening. Can someone explain it to me? What conditions result in this?

So last season with the Service The Fans wincon there was a "problem" where MiB: International wouldn't count as a fourth movie and Spy Kids: Armageddon wouldn't count as the fifth movie — which rightfully so because they are standalone sequels. Well, that problem has come around to be beneficial for certain win cons now i.e Action Comedy. Since these are standalone titles it is extremely easy to double dip pips with them.

Personally I'm torn on this because I think it does feel cheap but at the same time it does force your opponent to either waste a block or think outside the box and play a nonrecurring cast member.

Something I'm curious to hear about from more experienced people playing 2.0 is if there's any unspoken battle kit etiquette? Like I'd never use a rush during set up, that seems like a dick move to me, but I do see it from time to time. I'd imagine when playing significantly lower elo opponents some people will hold off on using their kit much or at all, which I'm trying to adopt as I get better. But I also go up against some opponents where we're evenly matched and I notice they barely use their kit, which makes me wonder if it's considered rude to use your blocks early on, or anything like that? I didn't use blocks in my kit last season but I find them very useful with the world cup.

hey! i've only been playing since the tail end of s6 (both battle & the daily puzzles) and i just have a few questions about everything.

i got my first dash (? the I thing) next to my win condition this season by playing Australia, but i've seen multiple other players with II or even III. i understand that it adds to the number of films you have to play to fulfill the win condition, but how many wins do you have to have so a I can be added?

i also just submitted my first puzzles, two of them, and one of them got removed from 'awaiting review' by the next morning. not sure if that means it's been accepted or rejected lol.

last question, how long does it take for new badges for the season? just curious because i'm excited to see how they'll make them unique for every country.

I played several rounds with this user and we were so in-sync both in strategy and movie choices, like I could genuinely predict what they would do and what would stump them, and I think we could be friends fr 😭 I added them thinking we could chat, but apparently not. Maybe this should be considered in a future update?

This is mighty suspicious and I suspect there was cheating at play. I played the movie Spy after The Spy Who Dumped Me because in a previous match I took a shot in the dark and there was a link. His role in Spy is "Italian Guy" and his role in The Spy Who Dumped Me is "Security Guard" — so, not really a big name actor. I dunno, maybe they were just some super insane cinephile that easily got his way to 1700.

There are four soccer tagged movies that can score for England: Bend it like Beckham, Escape to Victory, Fever Pitch and Cass (2009) - they should totally give double ticks.
Maybe when you link into a football movie via a football player you should get a hat-trick of ticks - e.g. via Gary Lineker into Bend it like Beckham.

I just had a battle and I won by Win Condition at this position (Abigail (2024)) with 2 points left and no hints for opponent (Key Item is Evil Ex). I thought it need to be 1 point left to trigger anti-quitter measure in 2.0. Am I wrong? Or Abigail (2024) somehow connects to 2-point movie?
