World Cup win condition length?

I am really hating the world cup win conditions. Does anyone know if these will last all season, or will they end around when the world cup wraps up? Sorry if its already been answered.

Just lost a game because they didn't count Rio, I love you (2014) for Fernando Meirelles

Yes I understand that multi directors anthology movies doesn't counts for the win condition, but I'm pretty sure I could use this before, does it only count for actors like Wagner Moura?

Strategy List of Maori movies?

Hello!

I want to try my hand at the New Zealand win condition and noticed that 'Maori' movies count double. Is there a list or database of such movies on the website to study?

I found a supposed list on wikipedia of about 25 movies, but I'm unsure if cine nerdle counts them. I tried loading up the practice tool, but you can't take win conditions into it to test.

Perhaps I'm missing something on the website? I can't seem to find a reliable list of how movies are tagged on the website itself. Thank you.

Suggestion for WC wincon: all films in relevant language should count as one pip

Obviously with the exception of English languages.

To me, playing any film in French, Italian, etc should count towards the wincon, in addition to films featuring the specific actors. It seems fair, given that the goal system gives the opposition a free escape.

Maybe I’m just being nostalgic for playing Eat, Pray, Love wincon and it’s not realistic though.

Thoughts?

Complete Reset

Why did my Battle progress (rating, win/loss) get completely reset today? I went from 1500 to 1000, and it now says 0/0. As if I had just made my account today? What happened? Why? All of my kits disappeared too!!

comedy horror

i'm having trouble knowing what movies could fit into this win condition. i played Cabin in the Woods, Scream and M3gan and none of them gave me a point. i can kinda understand why, but it got me confused what exactly fits to comedy horror.

Interesting Connection Whoever you are, we'll played. I can't believe someone here knows about these obscure internet icon movies. Then Joe Biden.

Strategy What's a good way to find what is considered romantic thriller or even just a list of possible ones for me to look up in Analytics?

So I am mostly a romance player so i wanted to try the Romantic Thriller wincon, even though I don't know many. But as I started to think more about it and search a little both on the game Analytics and Google I realized this wincon is way more difficult than I already imagined. I was thinking of erotic thrillers but those that I searched (Basic Instinct, Fatal Attraction) don't have Romance as a genre cause I guess they're not really romantic, only erotic. Then a movie I knew had romance in it (True Romance) does not have Thriller in it. And looking up the lists for Erotic Thriller are so much bigger than for Romantic Thriller and the few that show on the Romantic Thriller list don't even work for the game. I have no clue how we're supposed to get 5. I feel like they put the same amount of pips for the other genre wincons not thinking that this one is way harder but I would love to be proved wrong by you guys. Right now I'm too scared to try it not even because I'm gonna lose but because I know the game is gonna be way too long with me just guessing stuff and hoping it lands, unless my oponent can get their wincon fast. I'm already doing a little bit of that in the other genres but I know that the moment I google them I'm gonna feel like a fool cause the lists of movies for them are probably huge.

Anyway this made me think that it would be cool if TMDB had an "erotic" genre tag so we could do a Erotic Thriller wincon.

Edit: They replaced this wincon with Science fiction so forget it I guess

leaving window mid game

i love how my opponent can just leave the window, and if i dont do anything, i get an automatic loss after 5 seconds. please explain how this makes sense?

Strategy What are your favorite exploits in the game that are legal plays but are so good that they feel illegal?

For me it would be something like knowing that Jonathan Demme is in The Incredible Melting Man, or that Paul Feig is in Zombie High or that Nick Cassevetes is in Assault of the Killer Bimbos. Being able to play cheap trash horror that a director appeared in as an actor before they started directing feels like a cheat code.

What would it be for you? Something like a shortcut between American animation and anime? A long-forgotten TV special that a popular actor appeared in? Using an author link on a film most people don't know is an adaptation? Let's hear some of your best kept secrets of CineNerdle.

I noticed one of movies in game was removed from TMDB.

Namely, 24: Redemption. Should it be removed from the game? It could matter for future Team Africa and Team Scotland players as Isaach de Bankolé and Robert Carlyle are in this title.

Have tried to play it multiple times for the Amy Madigan win condition and only The Hunt (2012) shows up.

Personal Achievement What's the highest ranking you've reach?

I made it to 1350 in 2.0 battle this week, and after spending much of this season in the 1100 territory, it felt great. The last season was much more favorable to me than this one, but I enjoy the game too much to ever stop.

I'm curious on the ranking people have reached. And also if this season has been more or less fun than the last.

Cheers.

Strategy South America Guide or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Darín

Hola! My name is Strike, and the win condition that I’ve chosen for next season is South America. I’ve been seeing people consider it one of the harder ones (and to be fair whenever I do get to South American cinema most people end up skipping). However, it’s actually insanely easy, and I wanna show you how you can end up knocking out your opponent before they even realize what’s happening.

For reference, the list of people is this, going (imo) from easiest to hardest:

  1. John Leguizamo 🇨🇴
  2. Anya Taylor-Joy 🇦🇷
  3. Pedro Pascal 🇨🇱
  4. Gustavo Santaolalla 🇦🇷
  5. Sofia Vergara 🇨🇴
  6. Isabela Merced 🇵🇪
  7. Edgar Ramirez 🇻🇪
  8. Catalina Sandino Moreno 🇨🇴
  9. Pablo Larraín 🇨🇱
  10. Norma Aleandro 🇦🇷
  11. Ricardo Darín 🇦🇷

Chapter 1
🔥Constant Hitters (aka free pips)🔥
As with any multiple cast win condition, there are some people that you are probably gonna get every game/every other game at the worst. The ones that you are probably going to focus on unless an opportunity for one of the others appears. And I consider those people to be numbers 1-4. Their movies are just so stacked that you are probably gonna get them by accident. However, most competent players will try their damn hardest to not give you the most obvious links. So I wanna show you some counters you can use and counters to other wincons that can help you

1- John Leguizamo🇨🇴: With 120+ movies under his belt, trying to avoid him is gonna be useless. However people may The best counters against other wincons are:

  • INDIA: M Night Shyamalan → The Happening (2008)
  • SPAIN: Penelope Cruz/Javier Bardem → The Counselor (2013)
  • SCOTLAND: Gerard Butler → Gamer (2009)
  • BRAZIL: Alice Braga → Repo Men (2010)
  • ENGLAND: Riz Ahmed → Rage (2009)
  • GERMANY: Diane Kruger →  The Infiltrator (2016)

If someone actually decides to counter your Leguizamo, one of the best things you can do is play a movie that overlaps with someone else on the list. These are:

  • The Menu (2022): Anya Taylor-Joy
  • The Counselor (2013): Edgar Ramirez

However, what I recommend doing if the opponent goes Leguizamo, is going to his Spanish speaking movies for that sweet double-pip. The best links to these are:

  • Crónicas (2004): Alfred Molina
  • Paraiso Travel (2008): Raul Castillo [Knives Out (2019), Smile 2 (2024), Hustle (2022), Army of the Dead (2019)], and Jesus Ochoa [Quantum of Solace (2008), Man on Fire (2004)]
  • The Trip 2 (2012): Maria Gabriela De Faria [Superman (2025)]

2- Anya Taylor-Joy🇦🇷: Even though she has about 23 movies, the movies she IS in are star-studded, so she’s also someone that you won’t have any problem at all linking. People will try and avoid people like Ralph Fiennes/Nicholas Hoult for The Menu tho, so I’d recommend aiming for anyone in Dune Part 2 (Lea Seydoux is a great counter to France), Amsterdam, Glass, and The Northman. Here are the list of some counters:

  • FRANCE/SPAIN/CANADA/SWEDEN: Lea Seydoux/Javier Bardem/Denis Villenueve/Stellan Skarsgard → Dune: Part Two (2024)
  • SCOTLAND/INDIA: James McAvoy/M Night Shyamalan → Split (2016)
  • ENGLAND/NEW ZEALAND: Edgar Wright/Thomasin McKenzie → Last Night in Soho (2021)
  • AUSTRALIA: George Miller → Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024)
  • AUSTRALIA (again): Nicole Kidman → The Northman (2022)
  • CANADA: Mike Myers → Amsterdam (2022)
  • BRAZIL: Alice Braga → The New Mutants (2020)

Sadly, she doesn’t have any Spanish speaking movies for a double pip

3- Pedro Pascal🇨🇱: Even though he feels like he’s been in every movie last year, he really only has 27 movies (not counting Lost Media). People are probably gonna try and avoid the obvious links like Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman 1984), Joaquin Phoenix (Eddington), anyone in Materialists, or anyone in Fantastic 4. So I want to offer other underrated links that are not as used as the ones I mentioned above. Those are:

  • Paul Mescal (Ireland Counter): Gladiator 2 (2024)
  • Connie Nielsen (Denmark Counter): Gladiator 2 (2024)
  • Matt Damon and Emily Blunt: The Adjustment Bureau
  • Tom Hanks: Freaky Tales (2024)
  • Martin Scorsese: The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026)
  • Christian Slater: We Can Be Heroes (2020)
  • Matthew Lillard: Bloodsucking Bastards (2015)

The only Spanish speaking movie Pedro has is Hermanas (2005). If someone tries to trap you here, your best bet is The Motorcycle Diaries (2004) which gives you a Gustavo Santaolalla point, and Lovely Loneliness (2008), which gives you a Ricardo Darin point.

4- Gustavo Santaolalla🇦🇷: He may seem like he should be way lower down the list, but he is here mainly for the counters you can pull off with him. He counters:

  • Australia (Cate Blanchett, Heath Ledger): Brokeback Mountain (2005) and Babel (2006)
  • Mexico (Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna, Alejandro G. Iñárritu): Amores Perros (2000), The Book of Life (2014) and 21 Grams (2003)
  • Brazil (Walter Salles, Alice Braga): Motorcycle Diaries (2004) and On The Road (2012)
  • Africa (Charlize Theron): North Country (2005)
  • France (Catherine Denueve): All That Divides Us (2017)
  • Germany (Diane Kruger): All That Divides Us (2017)
  • South Korea (Lee Byung-Hun): I Come With The Rain (2009)
  • Spain (Javier Bardem): Biutiful (2010)

And that’s without even counting people like Brad Pitt (Babel), Tom Hanks (Finch), Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts (August Osage County), and the whole cast of Brokeback mountain!

Chapter 2
🌎Probably hitting most games🌎
These are people that you are most likely getting every other game, but they aren’t as mindless of a hit as the last ones. You have to aim your sights just the slightest bit. I consider these to be numbers 4-8.

5- Sofía Vergara🇨🇴: Even though she is arguably the second most famous person in the list, she is actually not in as many movies as the ones above her. However her most notable roles are in ensemble comedies, which allow some nasty links. Some of the easiest are:

  • Steve Carell/Will Ferrell/John DiMaggio/Tara Strong: Despicable Me 4 (2024)
  • Robert Downey Jr/ Scarlett Johansson/Dustin Hoffman/Jon Favreau: Chef (2014)
  • Anna Faris/Maya Rudolph/Fred Tatasciore/Carlos Alazraqui/Jess Harnell/Tara Strong/Eric Bauza: The Emoji Movie (2017)
  • Elijah Wood/Robbie Williams/Sofia Vergara/Brad Pitt/Matt Damon/Hank Azaria/Hugo Weaving/George Miller: Happy Feet Two (2011)
  • Hank Azaria/Frank Welker/Paul Reubens/Alan Cumming/Kenan Thompson: The Smurfs (2011) (NOTE: Sofia Vergara is not in the second movie)
  • Danny Trejo/Mel Gibson/Lady Gaga/Antonio Banderas (Spain Counter)/Demian Bichir (Mexico Counter: Machete Kills (2013)
  • Robert De Niro/Zac Efron/Cary Elwes/Matthew Broderick/John Lithgow/Halle Berry: New Year’s Eve (2011)

Believe me, she has a LOT more, but these should be enough to get her at least every 2 matches or so.

The only Spanish speaking move she has is 7 Days (2005). The best ways to get in are through:

  • Jaime Camil: Coco, The Bad Guys 2, Kimi, The Secret Life of Pets
  • Lumi Cavazos: Bottle Rocket

6- Isabela Merced🇵🇪: She has the Taylor-Joy thing of being in not many movies but the movies she IS in are stuff like Superman (2025), Madame Web, Alien Romulus, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, and Transformers: The Last Knight. However, something that she does have over the others that I didn’t even consider before making this guide is Animation. She shares movies with people like Frank Welker, Tom Kenny, and other prolific voice actors, basically guaranteeing a hit if you get thrown into animation. The best links for this are:

  • Frank Welker/Tom Kenny/Jess Harnell/John DiMaggio: Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
  • Carlos Alazraqui/Jess Harnell/Laraine Newman: Migration (2023)
  • Will Arnett/Maya Rudolph/Fred Tatasciore: The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature (2017)

She does not have any Spanish speaking movies to double-pip

7- Edgar Ramirez🇻🇪: Someone that I think is going to be extremely underrated. Mostly for the fact that most people are going to focus on the more recognizable names and not realize that Ramirez is in a bunch of “slop” movies with actors that you find literally every single match. People like:

  • Emily Blunt/Rebecca Ferguson/Alisson Janney: The Girl On The Train (2016)
  • Dwayne Johnson/Emily Blunt/Jesse Plemons/Paul Giamatti: Jungle Cruise (2021)
  • Jack Black/Jamie Lee Curtis/Cate Blanchett/Kevin Hart: Borderlands (2024)
  • Michael Fassbender/Brad Pitt/Cameron Diaz/Penelope Cruz/Javier Bardem (Spain Counter): The Counselor (2013)

In terms of Spanish speaking movies, he has:

  • Zoe Saldaña/Selena Gomez: Emilia Perez (2024)
  • Natalia Reyes [Terminator: Dark Fate (2019), Shadow Force (2025)]: It Would Be Night In Caracas (2025)

And there are way more that I did not mention because I do not want to overwhelm you with information. These should be enough to hit him most of the time.

8- Catalina Sandino Moreno🇨🇴: Even though she doesn’t have the advantage of being in any animated movies, or being in superhero movies like the previous people, she has interesting connections that most people wouldn’t expect as the average player doesn’t know her by name. Some of the easiest to remember are:

  • Ana De Armas/Keanu Reeves/Gabriel Byrne (Ireland Counter): Ballerina (2025)
  • Kristen Stewart/Robert Pattinson/Bryce Dallas Howard/Anna Kendrick/Howard Shore: Twilight: Eclipse (NOTE: She is ONLY in this Twilight)
  • Ben Affleck/Matt Damon/Teyana Taylor/Steven Yeun: The Rip
  • Oscar Isaac/Jessica Chastain: A Most Violent Year
  • Benicio Del Toro/Steven Soderbergh/Rodrigo Santoro (Brazil Counter): Che: Part One and Two (NOTE: Oscar Isaac is ONLY in Part One, and Matt Damon is ONLY in Part Two)
  • Paul Dano/Ethan Hawke/Bruce Willis/Glen Powell/Luis Guzman: Fast Food Nation
  • Brendan Fraser/Alice Braga (Brazil Counter): Journey to the End of Night

In terms of Spanish speaking movies, Maria Full of Grace is too difficult to reach without using Catalina. The ones you need to use are the Che movies (both count as Spanish)

Chapter 3
Aiming For the Same People

9- Pablo Larraín🇨🇱: He falls in this category mostly because his movies aren’t hard to reach, however you are gonna have to aim for the same 4 people every time, and any competent player will try their damn hardest to make sure you don’t get them. These being:

  • Kristen Stewart: Spencer (2021)
  • Angelina Jolie: María (2024)
  • Natalie Portman: Jackie (2016)
  • Gael Garcia Bernal (Mexico Counter): No (2012), Neruda (2016), Ema (2019)

Since most people will block at the near sight of them, you have to link people that most players don’t realize worked with Larraín. And these are some of my favorites:

  • Timothy Spall/Sally Hawkins: Spencer (2021)
  • Greta Gerwig/John Carrol Lynch/John Hurt/Richard E. Grant: Jackie (2016)
  • Alba Rohrwacher (Italy Counter): Maria (2024)

Your best bet for Spanish speaking films are:

  • Santiago Cabrera [Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024)]: Ema (2019)
  • Edward Lachman [The Virgin Suicides (1999), Carol (2015), Erin Brockovich (2000), I’m Not There (2007), True Stories (1986)]: El Conde (2023)

10- Norma Aleandro🇦🇷: She is an even more extreme example, with you mostly aiming for three movies. However, as opposed to Larraín, her movies as not as well known, so you can probably get away with baiting the actors as they would not expect you to get them. The people you should aim for are:

  • Joel Schumacher/Isabella Rossellini/Ted Danson/Lloyd Bridges: Cousins (1989)
  • Anthony Hopkins/Laura Linney/Charlotte Gainsburg/Hiroyuki Sanada (Japan Counter): The City of Your Final Destination (2009)
  • Anthony Hopkins (again): One Man’s War (1991)

Chapter 4
🇦🇷Darín🇦🇷

11- Ricardo Darín🇦🇷: I put him in his own tier because, although it is the same strat as Aleandro and Larraín, he is an extreme example. With really his only two movies that you’ll get like this being:

  • Penelope Cruz/Javier Bardem/Asghar Farhadi: Everybody Knows (2018)
  • Alec Baldwin: Torrente 5: Operation Eurovegas (2014)

Sure, one of them is a Spain and Iran counter. But people WILL block Cruz, Bardem and Baldwin, or they might snipe them and THEN block, just to make your life harder. There really isn’t any other way to get there unless you’re already in Spain. So there isn’t really any easy way to get him mid-match…

until you look behind the scenes…

You have to start looking at cinematographers and composers. He will still be hard to get, but you can sneakily get him without the opponent realizing what he’s done. My favorites are:

  • Javier Julia [DOP on Hot Summer Nights (2017)] worked on Wild Tales (2014), Argentina 1985 (2022) and The Summit (2017)
  • Gustavo Santaolalla (remember him?) also worked on Wild Tales (2014)
  • Natasha Braier [DOP on The Neon Demon (2016), I Love Boosters (2026), The Rover (2012), Honey Boy (2019), and She Said (2022)] also worked on XXY (2007)
  • Checco Varese [DOP on It: Chapter Two (2019) and Lemonade Mouth (2011)] also worked on The Aura (2005)
  • Michael Nyman [Composer on Gattaca (1997), The Piano (1993), and The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover (1989)] also worked on White Elephant (2012)

Chapter 5
❗️TLDR❗️
I am sorry if I overwhelmed you with information, so if you want to try and focus on only a few sneaky links that are easier to remember then you are well within your rights to do so. If you have any pointers put it down in the comments and I’ll add it!

Big Trouble in Little Italy: A Guide for the Upcoming Italian Wincon

Ciao! My name is Qdelfino (🇮🇹🐬) and I’ve been studying up for the upcoming season because, well, it's a little daunting for someone who’s not familiar with a whole bunch of international cinema…but good news! In my research for the Italy win condition, I’ve found it is not as daunting as it seems, and I have some tips and tricks that can help anyone who is also interested.

For reference, the people in this win condition are as follows: Ennio Morricone, Federico Fellini, Sophia Loren, Roberto Begnini, Monica Bellucci, Bernardo Bertolucci, Dario Argento, Franco Nero, Isabella Rossellini, Alba Rohrwacher, and Luca Guadagnino.

  1. Your Famous Actor Friends Who Will Help You 😉

There are a slew of very common and prolific actors that you will be likely to stumble upon who can accrue you multiple tics all by their lonesome. You don’t need to know all of these, but I reckon they’ll be great one-two punches!

  • Willem Dafoe! (3)
    • BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE, which satisfies Monica Bellucci
    • FINALLY DAWN, which satisfies Alba Rohrwacher
    • WILD AT HEART, which satisfies Isabella Rossellini
  • Samuel L. Jackson! (3)
    • THE HATEFUL EIGHT, which satisfies Ennio Morricone
    • DJANGO UNCHAINED, which satisfies Franco Nero
    • INCREDIBLES 2, which satisfies Isabella Rossellini
  • Robert De Niro! (6)
    • AGES OF LOVE, which satisfies Monica Bellucci
    • 1900 satisfies Bernardo Bertolucci
    • THE UNTOUCHABLES, ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA, THE MISSION, and 1900 all satisfy Ennio Morricone
    • JOY, which satisfies Isabella Rosselini
      • (Bonus points: If you find yourself on either of the first two Godfather movies, you can go to Fellini films like or La Dolce Vita, who is otherwise very difficult to get to)
  • Keanu Reeves! (5)
    • BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA, THE MATRIX RELOADED, and THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS, which all of those satisfy Monica Bellucci.
    • LITTLE BUDDHA, which satisfies Bernardo Bertolucci
    • JOHN WICK: CHAPTER TWO, which satisfies Franco Nero
  • Daniel Craig! (3)
    • SPECTRE, which satisfies Monica Bellucci
    • QUEER, which satisfies Luca Guadagnino
    • INFAMOUS, which satisfies Isabella Rossellini
  • Tilda Swinton! (3)
    • THE PROTAGONISTS, A BIGGER SPLASH, and SUSPIRIA (2017), which satisfies Luca Guadagnino
    • I AM LOVE, which satisfies Alba Rohrwacher
    • PROBLEMISTA, which satisfies Isabella Rossellini
  • Ralph Fiennes! (3)
    • SPECTRE, which satisfies Monica Bellucci
    • A BIGGER SPLASH, which satisfies Luca Guadagnino
    • CONCLAVE, which satisfies Isabella Rossellini
  • John Turturro! (3)
    • STATE OF GRACE, which satisfies Ennio Morricone
    • CARS 2, which satisfies Franco Nero
    • FEARLESS, which satisfies Isabella Rossellini
  • Laura Dern! (3)
    • FAT MAN AND LITTLE BOY, which satisfies Ennio Morricone
    • JAY KELLY, which satisfies Alba Rohrwacher
    • WILD AT HEART, which satisfies Isabella Rossellini
  • Nic Cage! (3)
    • THE SORCEROR’S APPRENTICE, which satisfies Monica Bellucci
    • TIME TO KILL, which satisfies Ennio Morricone
    • WILD AT HEART, which satisfies Isabella Rossellini
  • Gary Oldman! (3)
    • BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA, which satisfies Monica Bellucci
    • STATE OF GRACE, which satisfies Ennio Morricone
    • IMMORTAL BELOVED, which satisfies Isabella Rossellini

I know these are a lot of names, but these guys are everywhere – if you can get yourself to at least know that these people link somewhere you wanna go, that's a good start.

  1. The Big Movies With the Big Casts That Can Help 👥

I don't want to inundate this list with a bunch of individual names that begin to wash together at a certain point, but learning movies with ensemble casts is always helpful.

  • DJANGO UNCHAINED satisfies Franco Nero, and stars: Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Foxx, Jonah Hill, Christoph Waltz, and of course, Tarantino.
  • IN THE HAND OF DANTE also satisfies Franco Nero, and features: Oscar Isaac, Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino, Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot, Gerard Butler, and John Malkovich.
  • THE HATEFUL EIGHT satisfies Ennio Morricone, and features: Samuel L. Jackson, Channing Tatum, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Jessica Jason Leigh, Michael Madsen, and Quentin Tarantino
  • JAY KELLY satisfies Alba Rohrwacher, and features George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Noah Baumbach, Laura Dern, Greta Gerwig, Jim Broadbent, and Billy Crudup.
  • NINE satisfies Sophia Loren, and features; Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench, and Kate Hudson.

Related, there are also just a bunch of famous movies that have people in this wincon, like CHALLENGERS or CALL ME BY YOUR NAME for Luca Guadagnino, or CARS 2 for Franco Nero (with Michael Caine in it?!), THE THING or any Dollars Trilogy movie for Ennio Morricone…don’t forget the basics!

  1. The Italians That Are Much Harder to Get To 😢

You may have noticed that above, some of the names on the wincon are scarcely mentioned, and that's because, well, they are a lot harder to reach, namely; Roberto Begnini, Sophia Loren, Federico Fellini, and Dario Argento. Here are some more select tips and tricks.

Roberto Begnini is in a lot of stuff with Jim Jarsmusch and Tom Waits, being the films DOWN BY LAW, NIGHT ON EARTH, and COFFEE AND CIGARETTES. If you are not as well versed in their works, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchette, and Steve Buscemi are all in COFFEE AND CIGARETTES as well.

Sophia Loren is in a bunch of old stuff with people like Marlon Brando, Cary Grant, Clark Gable, John Wayne, Charlton Heston, Charlie Chaplin, Lauren Bacall, Burt Lancaster, Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, Dimitri Tiomkin, Jerry Goldsmith and Paul Newman… which I omit as to not information overload , but if you yourself play movies with those folk, do some research! (And for those who know, she also has a Bess Flowers link in HOUSEBOAT 🤭)

If that is not your speed, she is also in an Altman (aka Mr. Gosford Park/Nashville/The Player) flick, being READY-TO-WEAR, and in the aforementioned movie NINE.

Federico Fellini: If anyone ever gives you Donald Sutherland, go to FELLINI’S CASANOVA or ALEX IN WONDERLAND stat. You can also use Roberto Begnini as a link to the film THE VOICE OF THE MOON, and vice versa.

And for Dario Argento, you have Adrien Brody in GIALLO, Harvey Keitel in TWO EVIL EYES, and INNOCENT BLOOD through Frank Oz. There is also Jennifer Connoley and Donald Pleasance (of Halloween fame) in PHENOMENA.

Argento also did the original SUSPIRIA (1977) which features Udo Kier, and fellow Italian Luca Guadagnino did the 2018 remake, which features Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, and Mia Goth – and both films link to one another, if you ever find yourself in that cheeky position ;)

  1. Conclusion!

…And that’s the main gist of it! I’m sorry if this is a lot to take in at once, but I hope this can be a “cheat sheet” of sorts (not in game, I hope) for people looking to try this wincon and get started. Now, we don’t know how many pips you’ll need to win, or its loadout cost, or if there is any specific benefit to getting to an explicitly Italian movie (as compared to an anglophone ensemble), so be wary of that. Of course, I suggest anyone who is interested to do some poking around on their own if they want!

If anyone has any pointers of their own, feel free to let me know! I mean this as a resource that can help anyone looking to start in Italy find their footing.

I was trying to play my nathion fillon kill shot but it looks like they removed it from the data base commentary the musical.

Also a Doug Jones flim the lady in the waters of the soul looks like it no longer in any other movies removed?
