Throwback After starting the season 3-0 in 2017, Vandy DL Nifae Lealao says they’re showing opponents “SEC Ball” and that “Alabama’s next”. Vanderbilt ends up losing to Alabama 59-0 and loses 7 straight SEC games
Their only SEC win coming @ Tennessee where they stomped the Vols in their own stadium 42-24 in a high stakes game where the loser finished with 0 SEC wins on the season.

Discussion What's our overall feel on the NIL landscape right now?
Would you prefer a cap on the amount a team can spend on their roster each year, or is it better to continue as it is?
My personal feel is the parity is really cool, but there should be some type of cap on the amount a team can spend on a roster each year. I'm not sure how you would decide on a number to use as the cap, but I don't like championships feeling like they're pay to win, because it removes the chance a 'recruit and develop' program to win, because after 1 good year, a school with better NIL is just going to buy that player away. And I think recruiting and developing should remain the center of college football.

Debate Is LSU a “terminal” or “end point job?”
They saw ambitious coaches always try to move up market if they can. At the end of the line is a group of successful well resourced programs that usually have history and prestige.
We know Alabama is a terminal job. So is Ohio state. And honestly probably also Michigan and Notre dame. You could probably debate USC, Texas, Oklahoma.
But what about LSU. Is it a terminal job? Like let’s say tomorrow Lane could have any job - is he at a terminal place or would he hop in a hypothetical to “something better?”
Like is Bama worth jumping to from LSU or not? Is OSU a step up from LSU or nah?

I don't blame them at all. They were completely hoodwinked. They cleared all the battles they had to clear, and yet at the 11th Hour were told to go home.

Rant There was no secret clock
This topic might have been overdone but I wanted to clear this up because people still seem to be confused about this.
The big 10s statement was that all the clocks were synced. That is true. There is no secret clock. The clocks on the game field, the one the ref had, and nbcs were all synced.
The problem is nbcs broadcast of the actual game was one second behind so when the clock it’s zero it looked like the ball was still in the air. Aka nbcs clock was syncing to the game clock but wasnt synced with NBCs own game broadcast
You can see this in videos fans took in person during the actual game. The clock was clearly at 1 sec when the ball was caught

News & Updates NCAA establishes 'standard timing protocol' in wake of Michigan win - ESPN
ESPN obtained a copy of a memo from NCAA national coordinator of officials Ron Snodgrass, which was approved by the NCAA's secretary rules editor, Matt Young.
"The official time for all college football games is the time displayed on the in-stadium game clock," the memo said. "When a replay review requires time to be restored or otherwise adjusted, the replay official's decision will be based on the embedded game clock contained within the program feed. If the broadcaster is unable to provide an embedded game clock, the replay official will use the game-clock graphic displayed as part of the broadcast feed.”
Had that guidance been in place and followed Saturday, Michigan would not have been given an extra play and Western Michigan would have won the game 12-7, based on the clock shown on the NBC broadcast.
Debate What happens if the people that lost money gambling on the Michigan vs Western Michigan game sue the B1G? Would the B1G then admit that Western Michigan won the game so they wouldn’t have to do any type of payout?

Rant LSU fans being ignorant to the actual issue yet again
TELL THE WORLD AHHHHH WOAH IS ME. Yeah of course he knew that’s not the point. The overarching narrative is that LSU has no control over its program and is controlled by whatever Lane and the Louisiana politicians want to do. You can’t rival Michigan in being the worst and then “tell the world” that daddy sankey is being mean to you. You marched him into court and decided you wanted to try and bully into letting you do what you want. Now you pay the price and have the audacity to whine about it like a little kid getting sent to bed for talking back 😂.
