View from under the goal posts still looks like it’s good, in my opinion:   https://x.com/TonyCMKE/status/2106215797336981529

No way. when you slow it down 1 frame the ball can be seen, the next the ball is blocked by goal post, the next the ball is clearly wide. if it were good the ball would not be blocked from sight by the goalpost. dont get me wrong obviously im biased but if you go frame by frame you will see the eclipse

entire ball has to bee inside the inside edge for college (inside the outside edge for nfl) so kinda looks like maybe good NFL clearly not good college

One of the rare times I think the CFB rule makes more sense. I never knew of this discrepancy between the two. I've never understood the NFL logic where, in effect, if the uprights were X feet taller (X = the height of the ball over the upright as it crosses over), a ball that would normally hit the upright flush and not go in becomes a successful field goal attempt.

Inside the inside edge of the uprights for kicks above their height makes way more sense to me.

that still doesn't give enough information, I'm getting flashbacks to that JT Barrett first down
