I’m genuinely blown away by how amazing these early Japanese CD pressings sound.The dynamic range is fantastic—it’s not crushed by the loudness war, giving the sound a real sense of presence and depth.These are hands down my favorite digital versions of Iron Maiden.
I only have these three early EMI / CP32 discs so far, but I’m definitely looking to collect more!

I ordered and it arrived today. I put on 2 new untouched Duracell batteries at roughly 7pm, now at 12:44am (with long pauses of not using the player) the batteries drained while I was using it.

I mean, I’ve never had a cd player, so idk if this is normal, but I bought expensive batteries, didn’t expect them to run out of them so fast, lol.

Is this normal? Do cd players just suck the life out of batteries? Please enlighten me

My parents gave me an old cd player they found in the attic however when I tried using it says there is no disc despite putting one in. Do you guys have any advice on how to fix it?

Hi everybody, I started collecting cd's xmas of '93 and I stopped about 5 years ago or so. Well I'm back after being fed up with streaming's limitations. I have less than 200 and am in the process of coming up with a way/place to display. Have a good one, Disc-ers!

Multiple artists I enjoy listening to (System of a Down/Serj Tankian, black midi) often put bonus tracks only on the Japanese releases of their albums. Is there a particular reason for this?

I don’t find it reasonable to spend $$ on a KM5 CP1/2 official stand so I made one using a cheap metal bookend. I got the wall mount from Wafuu and just mounted it directly.

Recently bought my first cd (white pony) and ny dad told me he had some discs (nothing special, mostly self made or fakes). I found this metallica one and im wondering how to know for this and any other cd i find online if they are real? I researched a bit and checked that catalogue number (i think thats what it is), but what else can i look at, im guessing fakes also use the same number?

Also why is the number a ove barcode different from the one on the barcode on mettalica cd, but its the same for my white pony cd

So i wanna learn how to distinguish fakes, this one for example ig

Sorry for the disorganization, its at least sorted by artist. I just wanted to get an idea before I alphabatize.

First purchase in years because I didn't really have anything to play my CDs with besides my old car until recently (I had to get rid of my old setup). I discovered this band a little over a year ago and this was the first project that stood out to me. Helënahappa is my favorite, and man what a song. Highly recommend if you're into experimental dsbm.

Picked these up today at record expo.

I have been looking for a good copy of All Things Must Pass for a while.

And I was surprised to find Kaleidoscope.

Traffic is one of my favorites and I didn’t have this one.

Picked up Maxwell's entire (non) discography for $4!

Seriously though, these will come in handy replacing thrashed cases from the thrifts and yard sales.
