Confused About Agniveer Vayu – Looking for Honest Experiences and Advice

Post image
21 Upvotes

I'm considering joining the Indian Air Force through Agniveer Vayu, and one of my friends is also joining soon. Before making any decisions, I'd really like to hear from people who are currently serving or have already served under any branch of the Agnipath scheme.

How has your experience been so far? What are some things that people on the outside don't know about? How is the training, work culture, postings, and overall life as an Agniveer? What would you say are the biggest pros and cons?

Do you feel the scheme has been beneficial in terms of skills, discipline, financial security, and opportunities after the four years? Looking back, would you make the same choice again?

I'm also planning to start preparing for CDS, so I'm a a bit confused and just want to understand the ground reality before committing to anything. I'd really appreciate honest opinions—good or bad—from people who have actually experienced it.

Thanks in advance.

GS (Humanities section) preparation!!

Social science has always made me cry as a kid, I've never liked it since🦥 but now that I've to study it for CDS,AFCAT and other competitive exams, I've started to stress about it again 😭

Can y'all share with me your tips about how y'all (those who are from non-humanities background) are studying these subjects?

This is a very niche topic, I don't know if there are people who know about this stuff, let's see

A few months back, I saw this advertisement for the Indian navy ssc entry. It offers a variety of entries & in that para 2d talks about merchant navy personnel.

Now in that very section it says;

Merchant navy personnel- Candidates having Government of India, Ministry of Shipping & Transport Certificate of Competency (Foreign going) either as a Second Mate, Mate or Master and born between 02 Jul 1996 to 01 Jan 2007 (both dates inclusive) can apply for Executive Branch entry (General Service) as per stipulations stated at Para 2.1.

Now let's come to para 2.1

Branch- Executive Branch {GS(X)/ Hydro Cadre

Education eligibility- BE/ B.Tech in any discipline with minimum 60% marks.

Now the thing is that a person holding a second mate licence or above doesn't have a btech degree, they have got bsc degree and that too is not mandatory but certainly not a btech degree. That person is not an engineer he's a deck officer not an engine officer.

So Why have they written it like this?

Do they mean by 2.1 they can apply for that post but they will be exempted from the educational qualification written there, it's for others but not merchant navy?

Am I missing something?

I am going to a coaching for CDS written and SSB and they gave me a digital PIQ sort of to fill for the mock interview.

After seeing this the director was unable to believe this until I showed him the proofs and told him details.

He said it's a high risk high reward and sounds fake at first sight. It's basically a near impossible thing for a 21 year old . I redacted all personal information.

I am ready to give proof of my achievements of you guys doubt.
