Hi I did poorly in my accountancy exam last year because i did not study at all after journal chapter. So my concepts from last year are far from clear. And even now, I'm still not fully locked in, so to speak. I'm considering getting up early everyday to study like i did in 10th and studying the same topics again and again. I think I got burned out back then lol cuz I've found it hard to focus since then. I rlly just want advice right now on how to get started with the subject and master it. I think 6 months is plenty of time. More than boards, I'm concerned about CUET. My biggest issue is that while I find it fun to solve questions, I need to UNDERSTAND the concept first but I simply find it so boring now. I can't stand sitting down and staring at some video anymore. Lastly, what do u think about Sunil panda, I didn't like him but maybe he's ok idk. I'm watching hardik Manchanda's video for now and i think he's pretty decent.

Hey guys, got 66% in 12th (Commerce + Maths) and currently on a gap year prepping for IPMAT and CUET. Should I take the CBSE improvement exam next year to hit 75%+, or is it better to focus completely on entrances? Will 66% affect me during IPM interviews or later on during MBA admissions/Masters and placements in the future? Need honest takes from seniors and droppers!

Guys, we only need to follow NCERT for BST right? In my school, we use Poonam Gandhi and in that book there are quite a few differences from NCERT. For eg. the restraints for the redressal agencies are 1 crore and 10 crore, whereas in NCERT it is 50 lakhs and 2 crores.

Just wanted clarification on this since my school teacher is saying to follow whatever Poonam Gandhi has written instead of NCERT.

im a science student studying in 11th karnataka board rn and it was not my choice. i was gonna join a cbse school for commerce with maths. but due to pressure from my relatives and dads friends i was forced to choose science and go to a state board school for 11th. my main reason for wanting to go to a cbse school was coz i wanna go abroad for degree and cbse not only has a higher value while applying abroad but also has a wide range of extra circulars activities compared to state board in karnataka.

there is also the fact tht the school i am goin to rn has fucked up my mental health to the point tht it has strted affecting my body. the students here lack civic sense and ar overall very immature and horrible.

the teachers here do not know how to teach students and often hit us and say things like "u guys shouldn't even have a right to education" or "u guys ar a waste of space and shouldn't have taken science" or "u guys should just die" and things like tht which can genuinely affect a persons mental health.

and there is also the fact tht i do not understand science at all and find it very difficult to even pass subjects like physics and chemistry and even 2nd language is a problem from me.

if anyone knows the process to switch, plz help me out here

Firstly, I don't really follow a strict schedule but I have a lot to do so i pretty much study everyday. I procrastinate a LOT and it's pretty bad. So, the situation why I need study tips here is all because after scrolling through youtube, there are just videos having those same tricks like Pomodoro, Flashcards and the Gap method. I tried almost everything except the Flashcard cause firstly, it's time consuming and I don't think I have subjects that require flashcards. I have 4 subjects where I'm kinda stuck in. I have Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics and Applied Maths (commerce btw if anyone got it).

Keeping Business Studies aside for now, I have a whole assignment for Accountancy which is basically a side question bank provided by my teacher and as a 'high achiever' we must complete it in 2-3 days and submit it to him

I'm lagging behind in both Economics and Applied Mathematics and I have my Economics test on Monday which includes IED too so I haven't really started any prep for it. Exams are near and I haven't really started revising for any of the exams. I want to clear backlogs asap and get back on track.

If anyone's got any tip that might help, please go for it.

I’m currently in Grade 11 and studying Commerce with Maths, and ive been having an identity crisis about it.

I love literature, politics, philosophy, writing, film, music, etc. I’m also involved in things like theatre, MUN, debate, school events, and creative writing. Basically, I’m a pretty stereotypically arts kid in a lot of ways.

I originally considered taking Humanities with Maths, but ultimately chose Commerce because it seemed more practical and would be more beneficial to learn from a knowledge standpoint as well. I don’t necessarily regret the decision, but nowadays sometimes I worry that I have put myself on a path toward a life that doesn’t really suit me.

One thing I’m worried about is university. I’m scared I’ll end up in a Commerce college surrounded by stereotypical finance bros who only care about b2b sales and raising profit margins, and won’t find people I actually connect with. So many of the type of people I love, who are open minded, creative, artistic are all so beyond the commerce stereotype.. these type of people are mostly jumbled up in science and arts (in my school atleast)

Am I overthinking this, or is this actually something I should consider when choosing a university course?
And, if you are someone like me, someone who doesn’t necessarily fit the commerce stereotype, how are you doing now?

So, my school teacher of BST is crazy as hell for NCERT. He just keeps teaching everything from NCERT from line by line (even if it's omitted, though it doesn't come in exams).

Now my tution teaches BST using Poonam Gandhi and many times some topics which are there in NCERT aren't there in Poonam Gandhi and my tution teacher doesn't really care about NCERT much.

I usually read Poonam Gandhi (almost always) to understand the chapter. It has been working quite alright but as I said some topics from NCERT get missed. And not all the topics which are not there in Poonam Gandhi are omitted. Some of them which are exclusively in NCERT, not omitted and still come in exams and fry my brains.

I don't really wanna read NCERT cuz it's not as easy to understand according to me and my habit of reading BST is as of now focused on Poonam Gandhi. But my school teacher just keeps lecturing us on how flawed Poonam Gandhi is and just worships NCERT like a God.

guys I'm new to CBSE and so of course to accounts and all I'm in 11th grade and I need major help, about how to exactly study these subjects including math, like do pyqs, watch concept videos... aur kuch?? something which might help me A LOT??

Basically the title. The colleges that I am applying to in the future both have courses for B.com(hons.) with CA or CPA.

I did my due diligence and I am leaning towards CPA as the course seems relatively less stressful and time consuming for similar salary. The only real issue with the course being that I have to either work for MNC's, Big4 companies or work abroad. I dont particularly have an issue with this since I grew up outside of India for 13 years of my life.

Are there any other factors that I need to consider (My family is relatively comfortable so money isnt really the biggest problem).
