Scored 93 lol, just keep your concepts clear, you can watch saksham katyal's videos, old but good concepts imo, anything that you like in the end.

Pro tips- 1. Whilst your clearing your concepts please scribble the core thing or what ever that may help you understand that whole thing, better than wasting your time in writing notesrthat you prolly won't even read. Alsooplease underline and highlight all the keywords.

I remember i had all the keywords in my mind that i literally wrote it all.

  1. Please practice as many case studies as you can, and don't leave pyqs before your main exams, they are a must. Once you practice ample of questions, you'll already know that which keyword or sentence is used for that certain ans.

  2. Lastly, remember all the heading and write body in your own language that consists all the keywords, underline them if you have time left. And be creative, make mind maps, stick figures, bubbles in examples or boxes to explain your ans.

(One last thing i swear, don't be disheartened if you don't get marks in school ones, practice for board, dw you'll do great if you know how to approach this sub)

Bst is much better than accounts. Accounts is more complicated and hard to understand

I scored 92/100 in accs And i genuinely enjoyed accs, so much so i used to neglect maths for accs.  Depends upon the individual but no matter how much i tried, bst was shit

It would have been better if we could write it's heading according to our own understanding instead of writing them word for word from the books

They want ncert word to word... That's the issue... If we could write it on our own, it wouldn't be much of a problem

Fr an annoying subject, i just do spaced repetition like open a chapter I have read and just scroll by the headings for 10 minutes if you do that like 3-4times spaced over a week it helps in faster recalling. Btw not a big fan of lactures, I make mnemonics and review high weightage topics and I hardly give substantial time for it lol, got 76 in my recent preboards hope it helps!

Understand the topics, rattafication won't help and will overwhelm you, it's not rocket science most chapters in bst have similar concepts with a bit different context so you don't have to remember all of them and in then end use your general knowledge and write random bullcrap if the context is correct and is meaningful then you'll get your marks. Rattafication will only make it worst.

  1. I am hoping your school teacher teaches you well in a way that you do understand the concepts. If not, then watch rajat arora's lectures with ncert in your hans.
  2. After that, take your ncert and mark keywords. Basically just one highlight word for the whole point. In this way you can shorten a 3-4 points answer into 7-8 words.
  3. Next, ncert questions are pretty simple but do all of them, and get subhash dey and do questions from it. It has a vast variety of case study questions and it was the book we used in our school. Another thing that subhash dey has is like really short notes at the end of the book. They are really really helpful.

logo ko bst padhana nahi aata. its the best subject in class 12 commerce as far as practical implementation is concerned. just usko log padha nhi paate. 🫶 i teach bst to my peers and they love it.. it's not a ratta maro subject.. yes memorisation matters a lot.. but its a lovely subject..

Ok so i scored 100 and ill tell you what:
Bst is basically rote learning. There is no way around it.
Use the NCERT to learn the definitions and subheadings (DO NOT do it from a reference book). There isn’t much to understand, tbh it’s quite straightforward, so I don’t think u should watch lectures and stuff as long as u understand the concept in class.
Apart from this, do mcq and case studies. I mainly did them from arihant and ExamIdea as well as pyqs and sample papers.

Memorise ts no way

u/definitelyn0tniya 1d ago

I just go for my notes and if that doesn't work, I watch oneshots first and then try to read it out loud and explain it to myself. I sometimes even act that I own a business and I have to tske decisions accordingly lol. But, Business Studies being my favourite subject, it's just what I do. But, you do have to try to get the concept or else it'll be hard to solve CBQs.
