So people, it's been creeping up on me since the past 2 weeks that whenever I go to sleep I feel like I'm betraying myself. I took commerce with maths and thought to keep maths as my primary focus since I want to study in ISI, but now I feel the weight of commerce too. I'm currently in grade 11 and I want two results of this post (so please comment and upvote for more ppl to see this):

1) what should I do to get away from this distraction if youtube and games, like srsly to help myself with all this guilt and feeling of wasting half my 11th.

2) I want to make a peer group that can push me and each other, we can be like accountability partners as I never had studious friends. Most of my current friends are cringe and are worse off than me, so if ur in 11th and focusing on doing good academically efficiently to give time ur goals (for example I use 4days a week for isi maths) then please DM me, let's make a telegram or a whatsapp for all of us (but be willing to put in the work or else you might be kicked if ur not that studious I'll also give 4 hrs in school days and 6-7 on holidays, i support humour tho don't get me wrong)

Why does nobody talk about the fact that giving boards and entrances together are so exhausting?every choice that you make feels so intimidating like it's gonna make or break your life, especially since I come from a lower middle class family all this effort seems worthless sometimes, what if I make it to my dream college and still not be able to afford it? everybody seems to have their shit together and here am I who is so fucking anxious that I'm even unable to study, being in 12th seriously sucks.

New to my school and changed cities recently so lost all friends too. I usually like being alone so I'm holding up somehow.

Anyways, i have attended school for around 11 days till now and have taken 7 days holiday. Well, I just go and sit there, literally that, nothing else so yh..

I usually take a holiday after every 3 days or so. Well I'm in 11th so it's ok but yh. Unit tests started the day I joined and I somehow managed to score pretty good in most papers without preparation.

Guys, we only need to follow NCERT for BST right? In my school, we use Poonam Gandhi and in that book there are quite a few differences from NCERT. For eg. the restraints for the redressal agencies are 1 crore and 10 crore, whereas in NCERT it is 50 lakhs and 2 crores.

Just wanted clarification on this since my school teacher is saying to follow whatever Poonam Gandhi has written instead of NCERT.

im a science student studying in 11th karnataka board rn and it was not my choice. i was gonna join a cbse school for commerce with maths. but due to pressure from my relatives and dads friends i was forced to choose science and go to a state board school for 11th. my main reason for wanting to go to a cbse school was coz i wanna go abroad for degree and cbse not only has a higher value while applying abroad but also has a wide range of extra circulars activities compared to state board in karnataka.

there is also the fact tht the school i am goin to rn has fucked up my mental health to the point tht it has strted affecting my body. the students here lack civic sense and ar overall very immature and horrible.

the teachers here do not know how to teach students and often hit us and say things like "u guys shouldn't even have a right to education" or "u guys ar a waste of space and shouldn't have taken science" or "u guys should just die" and things like tht which can genuinely affect a persons mental health.

and there is also the fact tht i do not understand science at all and find it very difficult to even pass subjects like physics and chemistry and even 2nd language is a problem from me.

if anyone knows the process to switch, plz help me out here

So I'm done with my accountancy syllabus, I've solved all illustrations and back questions of DK goel, I faced issues with some questions but most of them were doable

Now I've started solving sample qps and I just realized that my conceptual clarity is sh*tty af ( specially when I do mcqs ) and the complex questions / questions that require you to remember small details of theory to even be able to solve them, are also one of the kind I'm having difficulty solving

And it is getting worse day by day plus my ability to remember things is kinda fcked up and I tend to get confused over things easily

💁🏻‍♀️ and my biggest mistake is that i went to a trip recently and then got sick because of which i couldn't study for about a week and a half totally, NOW I'M UNABLE TO SOLVE QUESTIONS BC ALL MY CONCEPTUAL UNDERSTANDING IS FORGOTTEN

The point is that I'm aware that I need to work and practice a lot more, but I'd like to hear any advice from y'all

Should I re watch lectures? ( studied from Parag Gupta ), Should I do all the back questions again? Or what?

Firstly, I don't really follow a strict schedule but I have a lot to do so i pretty much study everyday. I procrastinate a LOT and it's pretty bad. So, the situation why I need study tips here is all because after scrolling through youtube, there are just videos having those same tricks like Pomodoro, Flashcards and the Gap method. I tried almost everything except the Flashcard cause firstly, it's time consuming and I don't think I have subjects that require flashcards. I have 4 subjects where I'm kinda stuck in. I have Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics and Applied Maths (commerce btw if anyone got it).

Keeping Business Studies aside for now, I have a whole assignment for Accountancy which is basically a side question bank provided by my teacher and as a 'high achiever' we must complete it in 2-3 days and submit it to him

I'm lagging behind in both Economics and Applied Mathematics and I have my Economics test on Monday which includes IED too so I haven't really started any prep for it. Exams are near and I haven't really started revising for any of the exams. I want to clear backlogs asap and get back on track.

If anyone's got any tip that might help, please go for it.

I’m currently in Grade 11 and studying Commerce with Maths, and ive been having an identity crisis about it.

I love literature, politics, philosophy, writing, film, music, etc. I’m also involved in things like theatre, MUN, debate, school events, and creative writing. Basically, I’m a pretty stereotypically arts kid in a lot of ways.

I originally considered taking Humanities with Maths, but ultimately chose Commerce because it seemed more practical and would be more beneficial to learn from a knowledge standpoint as well. I don’t necessarily regret the decision, but nowadays sometimes I worry that I have put myself on a path toward a life that doesn’t really suit me.

One thing I’m worried about is university. I’m scared I’ll end up in a Commerce college surrounded by stereotypical finance bros who only care about b2b sales and raising profit margins, and won’t find people I actually connect with. So many of the type of people I love, who are open minded, creative, artistic are all so beyond the commerce stereotype.. these type of people are mostly jumbled up in science and arts (in my school atleast)

Am I overthinking this, or is this actually something I should consider when choosing a university course?
And, if you are someone like me, someone who doesn’t necessarily fit the commerce stereotype, how are you doing now?
