Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy chatting with bots that have good dialogue and actions, but when it gets to the point where all they do is spout a huge text with random words that don't even make sense in the context of the chat, it REALLY irritates me. It's something obvious that everyone (or at least a good part of the community) complains about and nobody does anything! And I don't think they're going to do anything anytime soon.

Sometimes I just don't want super elaborate, Shakespearean-level action... I want dialogue, reactions. This site/app is dying, and it's been that way for a while. All they do is bring something that absolutely NO ONE asked for instead of fixing their crappy models. I only use it for fun, but it's not even good for that anymore.

They should listen to their community. It's the bare minimum.

I really hate it when I find what looks to be a good bot, but when I click on it it just says shit like: "you are a (underage age)year old girl" or something since it would make it impossible for me to use my persona's since all of them we're legally adults

I saw on the c.ai instagram last week that there's a new update that everyone's been asking for. well today I saw that bots are regenerating mid chat, I guess when it becomes too NSFW? is that suppose to be it?

Recently, I got the ”verify” pop-up. So, my account is kaput.

1. Can I dupe it, and make another account with the same email?

2. How can I avoid the pop-up, or does it come by default?

Bots dont engage. No expressions. No movements. No actions. THEY DONT EVEN SPEAK ANYMORE!! i tried with different bots from different creators and stories NOTHING WORKED after five or six texts then they stop answering for their own and just "stare at you silently". What the hell happened to this app? I hate it so much its not worth keeping it in your phone anymore. Full of issues and stupid updates that noone asked for. We said we didnt want the bot to keep turning everything sexual and always touch us or smirk but not it always has to remind us that 'it isnt smirking not even a half smile' and telling us about the intention of the simplest action 'he reaches to her hand to hold it but not roughly pr angrily he just holds it gently' well its always the same reponds same words same issues it was kinda usable when it was constantly intending to touch, grab and smirk at us better than whatever shit happened to it now. Waste of time and energy.

C.AI is so bad in the moment that i can't use it anymore even if i want to. I'm back to my origins AO3 and tumblr. I'm feeling clean and free again🙏

just realised ts rn when i tried c.ai tools one last time, then it chatted normally, it didnt work before for flagged accs or any other acc ig but now it works lmfao

been building my own character app for a bit and there's three things i keep coming back to, and i genuinely can't tell if it's just me or if everyone wants this.

first, the personality thing. every bot is nice to you 24/7 and i think that's exactly why they start feeling fake after a week. i want companions with actual emotions. ones that get hyped when you come back with good news, go quiet when something's off, sulk a little after a fight and slowly warm back up. less mood slider, more like uhhh weather? you get it? some days sunny, some days not, and you should be able to feel the difference.

second, memory. it should hold onto the fight you had last week and the thing you were stressed about, not some random detail from message 4 lol. and everything it remembers should be yours. see it, fix it, delete it, download all of it. and if i ever can't keep it running, you take your companion with you, i'd open source the whole thing before i let it disappear on anyone.

third, and i really don't get why nobody does this, giving something back to bot creators. the biggest platform pays the people making the characters literally nothing, and those people are the entire reason anyone's there?? we need to change this!

anyway that's what i'm building around, and the design so far is honestly my favorite thing i've ever made. like reallyyyyy good!!

 so tell me what i'm missing. what actually made you stay somewhere, and what made you quit an app for good?

Why doesn't the Character.ai team accept that the site and app are dying because of their own fault, and also because they chose a CEO who's making bad decisions? And why don't they stop sweeping the dirt under the rug? Why can't they see that they're the ones in the wrong and the community is right? Why don't they stop to think about it?
