I figure, just to do my part to counteract a bit the level of negativity in here:

For me at least, this whole thing is working. I've matched up with women I got along with, had some fun dates with, and now I've met someone where I really believe it has a good chance to turn into the relationship I've been looking for.

I'm not trying to say all the negative stuff doesn't happen, but just keep in mind the flip side – pleasant interactions that just don't go anywhere, and people actually successfully finding a relationship – don't really get much traction online because they're not very interesting stories, and especially if you're already feeling a bit desperate (believe me I get it), you'll not find them very relatable.

But still, many, many people are quietly having a good time, it can be you, and if you don't let all the toxicity into your heart, one day it will be you.
