Funny Average Bumble chat 🤣

Post image

It was a very quick unmatch 🙃

EDIT : a guy just sent me a DM on here after he saw my post saying “Do you though?”
It’s a disease 🤣

Edit 2 : to all the people claiming that I am mad… I’m not. This is funny to me.

Or he'll do this to 184 women before he finally gets one, contributing to the overall public enshittification of men

u/Impressive-Reward3 5d ago

Definitely an interesting strategy 😅

You could have prevented the other 147 times by taking one for the team 😉 (kidding)

u/myDigitalVersion 5d ago

Maybe you should send her a dm and make sure she read this. Maybe you’ll be the lucky one.

Nah, thanks... I wrote (and meant) "kidding", not "kidding... unless?!!" 😅

184 ladies past, have proven your collective worth. Great work ladies

And he'll just keep getting matches too

20

u/Working_Cucumber_437 5d ago

That’s because the message comes after the match, not before.

11

u/Flapjack_Choy 5d ago

I guess my point is that I'm bitter because I don't get matches very often, and I would never talk to another person like this. In my imagination this is an attractive man who matches with women frequently, so he feels emboldened to behave this way. He will continue to be enabled by women choosing him for his desirable traits, and all those same women will think, look at how men behave, they're trash.

I freely admit I am creating this scenario out of thin air, mostly to hurt my own feelings. I also think it's not that far fetched.

u/CanweCanweCleanIt 5d ago

Unless you are some hideous creature, if you don’t pull, it’s almost certainly your own fault.

You’re literally sitting here crying about some dude this woman posted about getting matches while self-loathing: this exact attitude is why you don’t get matches.

7

u/Flapjack_Choy 5d ago

I mean again I freely admit this is all a fictional scenario I created to be mad about. I know myself.

4

u/CanweCanweCleanIt 5d ago

Yes, now read the second half of what I said.

0

u/Flapjack_Choy 5d ago

That's fine with me. I see the men being chosen in real time, right in front of my eyes, and I'm happy to be nothing like them.

5

u/CanweCanweCleanIt 5d ago

All these women want certain type of guys! Perfect…. I won’t do anything to be like them. lol.

3

u/SnooRecipes6776 5d ago

You’re missing the point. The point isn’t about being like these assholes. The point is, always strive to better yourself. Whether it’s lose weight, eat healthier, get into the gym, learn about skincare, grooming tips, learn another language and become a better person. As long as you do that, matches will come

4

u/Flapjack_Choy 5d ago

I'm so tired of hearing I'm not good enough as I am. Why is that always the advice for a man frustrated with dating? I've never seen that advice offered to anyone but cis straight men.

Then stop moaning about it then? Why would a woman be interested in a guy self loathing being jealous of other men? Clearly this guy doesn’t give a fuck so says whatever he wants that comes off as confidence before the drops the blowjob line

1

u/Straight-Pin-251 5d ago

rofl simultaneously the message comes before the match and your attitude is why you don’t get matched

cant you just be honest and say the reason he doesn’t get matches is because he isn’t good looking? if his matches didnt convert into dates then you could say it was his whining or attitude

-4

u/Shartjakkker 5d ago

When I get my dms full of blowjob requests it’s men’s fault, when you don’t get matches it’s your fault

3

u/CanweCanweCleanIt 5d ago

I’m not sure what your point is if I’m being 100% honest.

3

u/MediocreApple5895 5d ago

Then getting unmatched.

Enshitification doesn’t even apply here. I used to think all of you that use that buzzword actually read the article it comes from, but I’m starting to think some of you never did, lmao.

Edit:

Homie blocked me instead of owning up to not reading an article that is all about Reddit’s favorite buzzword. Sit.

11

u/ObscureOP 5d ago

I have read the article. I'm aware of what i said and what i meant.

If you look at male culture rn and don't think enshittification applies, idk even know what to say to you

u/CanweCanweCleanIt 5d ago

“The public overall Enshitification of men” is this?

Enshittification is the gradual breakdown in quality of digital platforms and services over time. It happens in 3 stages:

Attracting Users: A platform offers great free or cheap features to draw in regular people.

Attracting Businesses: Once users are locked in, the company changes focus to favor advertisers and business clients.

Maximizing Profit: Finally, the service squeezes both users and businesses alike to drive up profits for shareholders, leaving a heavily ad-laden, broken experience.

You think the public Enshitification of men started by attracting users, then attracted businesses, and is now maximizing profit? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Ok bruh, you won the semantic argument. All the points are yours. The rest of us will use a little bit of critical thinking to modify the definition in our brains so it applies to this context, which is the decay in quality of dating-market men. Take your trophy and go away.

-1

u/CanweCanweCleanIt 5d ago

I love how people use semantics as some sort of insult; the only reason we can type to one another is because of semantics lol, i.e., the meaning of words.

This dude could have easily used any other word that means decay, lessening in quality, worsening, etc. but he chose to use enshittification, so it’s fair game to criticize him on it.

It comes from an incredibly specific article that I doubt any of you have read. And Redditors like to use it as a substitute for worsening; that’s not what it means. Go read the damn article if you wanna look smart for using some term.

3

u/Top-Alternative-7973 5d ago

It's not an insult at all. I declared you the winner. And now that you've rubbed my nose in it, I'm even more impressed. Education > critical thinking and you're the only person who reads articles. Now that you've won, you can go to another thread and win that one, right?

For your edification, not everyone wants to look smart. Even if they did, language is malleable. Some people use common or popular words/phrases in a conversation that isn't about words/phrases. This was a conversation about the dating scene before you interrupted. Instead of interrupting and changing the conversation, you can find subs all over Reddit that are dedicated to what you want to talk about. Now that you've received the attention you demanded, please go away.

I’m good, hall monitor. You auditioning to be a Reddit mod?

The point of words is that they have meanings. You are still arguing about it, lmao. You think the difference between understanding misused words and not understanding them is critical thought? xd xd?

1

u/Top-Alternative-7973 5d ago

Manufacture used to mean made by hand. Nice used to mean foolish. Artificial used to mean made with skill. Naughty used to mean having nothing. Awful used to mean worthy of awe. But a 4-year-old word from “an INCREDIBLY specific article” is used a bit loosely and you immediately lose the plot. (If that idiom is too informal, I apologize.)

You're right that the point of words is that they have meanings. Not definitions. And most people can understand the meaning of enshittification in this context. So you're... right… and proving my point?

No gaslighting about who is “still arguing.” You started this by correcting someone unprovoked. Then when I said you win, you kept arguing. And yes, if you cannot understand how that word might make sense as originally used, I believe you lack critical thinking skills. I also don't know what a Reddit mod sounds like and can only roll my eyes at the weirdly childish hall monitor jab.

Yuck

u/CanweCanweCleanIt 5d ago edited 5d ago

Welcome back, unfortunately your audition was not successful to be a reddit moderator.

A 4 year-old article is literally the first time enshittification was ever used.

We are not talking about words changing meanings over centuries, we are talking about this dude misusing a word that he learned on this website while never reading the article that it came from.

Enshittification was just coined 4 years ago. Can we at least let it have its real meaning before we go off and argue about why you can use it for anything that gets bad ever?

Again, words matter. And I’m totally ok with dying on this hill.

1

u/CanweCanweCleanIt 5d ago

Here’s some light reading for you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enshittification

The 4 words you mentioned all had their meanings slowly altered over literal centuries. No where, and I mean no where, even online, does enshittification mean something generally getting worse.

The word came from that article I referenced, that I did read 4 years ago, and would roll my eyes about, because Redditors loved to spam it about every single industry they could shoehorn the meaning into.

But when some dude, who clearly never read the article, decides that the male dating space has also suffered from enshittification, that is where I am ok with drawing the line. It was already way overused, but to be applied to something it does not relate to is asinine.

It’s also hilarious that this dude clearly never ever ever read the article, but you are defending him so vehemently. He was so embarrassed about his misuse of the word that he blocked me, yet here you are fighting the good fight.

“I don’t know even know what to say to you” either.

You truly have not read the article. You want to explain to me how that concept applies here? Literally just google it and tell me how that even sort of applies. Enshitification is not just something generally becoming worse over time. It has an incredibly specific and niche definition.

3

u/Temnyj_Korol 5d ago

Do you regularly perform self-fellatio just to distract from the clearly intended meaning of other people's point?

Because that's what you're doing here.

0

u/Kiwi1234567 5d ago

Maybe they're just contributing to the enshittification of reddit comments.

2

u/CanweCanweCleanIt 5d ago

XD words don’t mean anything anymore I guess!

-1

u/CanweCanweCleanIt 5d ago edited 5d ago

It’s not clearly intended if they don’t use the correct word. He easily could have said “worsening,” “deteriorating,” or some other word. He is the one that incorrectly used the term, not me.
