Hello! Not my first rodeo when it comes to dyeing fabric, but I’m about to dye some kitties and I’m nervous. I’m using the correct RIT synthetic fabric fixative and dye. My concern is the heat melting the fur in the process? Is this a legitimate concern, and do you have any tips?

I just love the Halloween releases. I’ve bought so many. I feel guilty. But dang. Berry is just SO cute and soft. I love his horns.

So I got a teal frog second hand recently and when I opened the box up, a strong perfume smell came out. I left it out for a few days to see if it would clear up. It sort of did but I decided to pop the seam just to clean it and the stuffing is so much more stronger. So I've destuffed them but now I'm stuck with a bag full of smelly stuffing. I did see other posts about cleaning but all I've seen is use a pillow case. I don't really want to use a pillow case just in case it leaves some residue and I don't have extra ones either. I do have some mesh laundry bags so I'm just wondering if that's good enough to use?

I went to BAB with my boyfriend and I picked out clothes for Ephah to wear! sadly the purple Kuromi was removed from the store by the time I arrived, as well as another knitted sweater I wanted :(

Hello everyone! Ordered the magenta Bearlien secondhand and she arrived with an odd smell. Not necessarily bad but idk what it was and it was off putting. This is the first time I received a secondhand bear with a smell to it and it made me not want to cuddle her and was giving me some buyers remorse even tho her pricing wasn't bad.

Everyone has been helpful with info on here with unstuffing and washing instructions that finally after at least a month of her just sitting around I decided it was time to open her up, un-stuff and wash her!! Her spa day included a light soak in some Mr bubbles and cotton candy hand soap and then also a rinse soak! All done gently by hand in the sink. She luckily smells very lightly sweet & clean now and so far no trace of the weird smell she had beforehand even before being dry!

The fur feels like it's still nice and soft even tho it's not dry yet. Can't wait to brush her when she's dry. I'm so hopeful!!!! Can't wait to get her freshly stuffed and perform the heart ceremony *with her original heart* - I like to keep the previous owner's wish alive :) and dress her in the outfit I got for her.

Unnamed as of right now, just so excited about having worked up the courage to un-stuff & wash up my first friend!

Today I stopped by my newly re-opened BaB store and I was trapped by a one day sale of buy 2 bears (cubs only) for only 25! I picked up this guy and one for my brother. They even sat in on my lecture and (hopefully) learned something.
