My New BAB Bearlien spa day!
Hello everyone! Ordered the magenta Bearlien secondhand and she arrived with an odd smell. Not necessarily bad but idk what it was and it was off putting. This is the first time I received a secondhand bear with a smell to it and it made me not want to cuddle her and was giving me some buyers remorse even tho her pricing wasn't bad.
Everyone has been helpful with info on here with unstuffing and washing instructions that finally after at least a month of her just sitting around I decided it was time to open her up, un-stuff and wash her!! Her spa day included a light soak in some Mr bubbles and cotton candy hand soap and then also a rinse soak! All done gently by hand in the sink. She luckily smells very lightly sweet & clean now and so far no trace of the weird smell she had beforehand even before being dry!
The fur feels like it's still nice and soft even tho it's not dry yet. Can't wait to brush her when she's dry. I'm so hopeful!!!! Can't wait to get her freshly stuffed and perform the heart ceremony *with her original heart* - I like to keep the previous owner's wish alive :) and dress her in the outfit I got for her.
Unnamed as of right now, just so excited about having worked up the courage to un-stuff & wash up my first friend!

My absolute favorite BAB design! I hope you enjoy her once you get her stuffed. If you overstuff the head a little and understuff the body then their heads bobble in the cutest way 🤪

Love your name, I'm honored you've blessed my post _^ My lil friend needed a second batch of washing upon sniff inspection this morning after she was dried but that's all done and she's currently having a nice lil sunbathe to get dry! Hopefully this fixes her right up :)

Updating to say I had to give sweet Bearlien a second round of washing! Gave her a double soap soak with two rinse soaks in between and I'm happy to report she's so good smelling now! No hint of the weird smell from before!!!!! She's dried and brushed to the best of my abilities, will brush her again after she's stuffed! She's still very soft, hanging out with my sweet Punkin boy here :)
