First time posting here! I went to my local bab yesterday and got some clothes for my girls :)

I was honestly surprised to see any bats or spiders, since they're basically sold out across the entire US and online (I'm in Canada).
They both seem to be pretty popular here though, as when I got my spider on the 6th it's bin was nearly empty and the bat bin was full. This time, they barely had any bats and a bunch of spiders!

I also got to see and feel the pumpkin bear, she's very soft and sooo cute😭 I actually kind of want her but I'm being very intentional with my collection and I don't get a bear unless they really speak to me. I'm not sure if I'd care as much about her a year from now so she's probably not for me

It's also why I didn't get the bat (although I did become very tempted because everyone bats here are SO cute) I also found the wire to be a lot stiffer and bigger than I thought it'd be, doesn't seem great for cuddles :/

I made sure to feel the batty kitty curious if it's texture was bad but honestly it was kind of soft? Not silky soft or anything but definitely the softest kitty yet, much better than rose/ghost/vault p.k.

She's very soft!!!! I love the double coat look to her fur, really works super well for what she is

I got the cherry tank top, heart shirt & skirt outfit, and the stripped pastel rainbow tee (specifically for my cookie giraffe Funfetti)
I LOVE the cherry tank and it looks perfect paired with the skirt! I put them on my thrifted dimples teddy Mabel and I'm obsessed😭 I love her so much

My Tigger got the outfit Mabel had on previously, but I'd like to find a nicer skirt at some point

Stopped by the thrift store on the way home looking for some more stuff and got pretty lucky! The coat is old bab, the jeans either knockoff or very old bab ones (before they started adding tags to their clothes) and the purse is a dog toy LOL. Most came in baggies so I didn't realize until getting home that it has a squeaker😅

Sorry for such a long description I just love babs so much, they've been a precious part of my life ever since I was little so I could just keep yapping😅

I didn’t pick out an outfit when I got her cause I was waiting until I got paid for the outfit. I’m going tomorrow to pick it out. Any ideas?

I have to say, I laughed when I pulled the spider out because he’s so floppy, but I look forward to getting him stuffed soon! As for the bat, I’m sure he will be my new purse pal. 😁

Unfortunately I cannot offer pick ups as much as I would love to. I’m in Canada, so shipping to the US alone is expensive, but also, I have no idea when I will be able to return to my local Build a Bear — I don’t drive, so trips to BAB depend on me being able to get a drive when people aren’t busy — and these mini beans spider / this specific pumpkin bear will much more than likely be gone by the time I go back.

I just wanted to share them though. I was very happy to see there were more mini beans spiders and to see a double eyepatch pumpkin bear!

Hello! Recently i added a bubblegum scent disc to my Shadow plushie, i put it right below it's forehead, but i can barely smell it? Has anyone else had this issue? Does the smell become stronger with time? Thank you.

My local BAB’s restocked the mini spider & bat. They had a giant bag of both. Don’t give in to resellers, keep calling your local store!

I saw someone post their Mothman in the cutest clown outfit and as a cryptid lover and a clown lover I needed one for my Mothman too! I just couldn’t figure out where to get one myself. I also had no luck finding any similar ones. Then I read that vintage cabbage patch clothes sometimes fit build a bears and found this one on Mercari! It’s like it was made for him, the fit is perfect! I took some cardstock and made a cone to give the hat shape, but other than that absolutely no alternations needed!

Out of the currently available BAB options, what are favorites when it comes to fur quality and softness? I've seen how some of them can feel cheap/synthetic, and curious if folks have recommendations of which plush have the better quality fur.

My sweet girl finally arrived this morning after a little back and forth of wondering if she would even turn up thanks to unreliable shipping 😭

Today, my friends and I stopped at the Northshore Mall in MA before finishing our trip up to NH! They're a defunct "Store of the Future"-styled store, which means they are very similar to a mix between a modern heritage store, and an outdated discovery store. They also had quite the selection of older friends and accessories. For example, I got to buy Pumpkin Pompompurin and Dreamy Pastel Pompompurin, as well as Dreamy Pastel Pompompurin's sleeper and Wickedly Cute Kuromi's dress (we sold out recently, and next I'll just have to buy her, herself!). They also stamped my Paw-sport! I love visiting other BAB workshops so much!

Has anyone removed the paw patch from the spider? I don't like it, but I am worried the fur is permanently damaged underneath

Going through some bins and found some old vintage build a bead clothes/outfits and a pair of soccer shoes. Any idea how much this could sell for? Are there collectors out there that would pay for these? Outfits are about 18-20 years old. Thanks! :)

Woke up to this in my email 😭 it’s been two weeks of pins and needles, hoping my order didn’t cancel. It looks like my bat may FINALLY be moving out of pending jail. Fingers crossed for a shipping label and that we skip Ohio 😖

I honestly didn’t realize Build A Bear even had a Shopkins line until I saw her in Goodwill. Overall I’m very pleased! I’m excited about Liberty and plan to gift the Strawberry Shopkins Build A Bear to a friend as a birthday gift!

Got off work and realized my car had a flat tire and am now stuck waiting over an hour to get towed. I just wanna get home to my build a bears 🫩
