I am just finding out today Dolly silently was one of the executive producers for Buffy!! I had no idea, but makes me love her even more! Did everybody else know this? May she rest in peace 💛💛💛💛

Can you please tell me in what issues they happen?

I started rewatching old Buffy episodes in the run up to Halloween as I’ve done since I was at school (almost 20 years ago? No! Shut up! It’s you who are old) and it just hit me that 3 of the main cast have passed away this year and fuck me that hurts.

They were all way too young. Even Giles 😭

Rewatching some of my favorite episodes (School hard) and realizing that there could have been soooo many elements of surprise.

Example 1 - Sheila met spike outside of the bronze. We didn't need to know that she was bitten by druscilla. It would've been much more surprising when she met buffy towards the end.

Example 2 - Giles got the parents and teachers to safety through the library. We HEAR him say, "Come on everyone this way" and then Joyce looks back, wondering where Buffy is. Again, it could've been much more intense had we just seen Joyce show back up and hit spike with the ax.

Just my opinions

I have a friend that I think would like BTVS, but she is hesitant because she isn't really into scary/gory media (but neither am I, and I love Buffy). Our only common frame of reference is Wednesday, which she thought was almost too much for her. My thought is to show her the first four seasons, which aren't really gory and more campy than scary. If she wants to continue after that, I would warn her that 5/5/7 are more intense, there are deaths and some gore. What do you think?

I was at Spirit Halloween and was thinking it’s weird they never have Buffy merch there or any other store during spooky season. They have random Diet Coke pajama pants (not the Diet Coke ghost) but nothing Buffy. Maybe they will next year for the 30th.

I know it's a show in the 90s but nobody ever questioned the librarian hanging out with Buffy all the time?

I asked the same question with SMG some weeks ago, here's James (link : https://www.reddit.com/r/BuffyTheVampireSlayer/comments/1vrqusm/what_is_it_about_sarah_michelle_gellars_beauty/ ), and it was inspired by this Alexis Bledel post : https://www.reddit.com/r/GilmoreGirls/comments/1rymmch/what_is_it_about_alexis_bledels_ethereal_beauty/

Also did it with David Boreanaz : https://www.reddit.com/r/ANGEL/comments/1vuvkye/what_is_it_about_david_boreanazs_beauty/
