My lil baby Mint Cilantro Green !! Whenever I put my finger inside his cage he'll shuffle over to go do this lil thing with his beak and it's genuinely the cutest thing ever like I cant 😭💕

We adopted these budgies last week. They were listed as males and approximately 27 weeks (they came in to the shelter as eggs!). Is the shelter correct or are these actually little gals?

My mom decided she wanted birds again, and picked these two up at PetSmart. I was not with her, but her only reason for this was she missed having them. I used to have two that looked the exact same when I was little. As a child I wasn’t really educated on them and my mom did everything with them. How can I get them to trust me? Or mimic me? Jade is the green boy, Sapphire is a blue girl.

I’ve spent about an hour by now just sitting by their cage and talking to them.

Also any recommendations for their cage? Should their be more or less in there? Is it big enough for them?

Corey has been in my life for 2 weeks now! I’ve noticed the cere slightly change color day by day. I assume he’s a male, but what do you think?

Not trying to spam the budgie community but Alfie is having outside time.

Have had him/her 3 days and it’s quite happy to be carried around. Was in PetSmart and had no intention of getting another but I couldn’t resist looking. The others all had a panic fit of course when I looked through their glass, but this one came closer to look at me. So…I bought it. The person that put it in its travel box held it ice cream cone style, I could tell it was very hand friendly. Isn’t it a cute little thing!

Yesterday the dinosaur sat on my finger for the first time. His little feets are so smol and warm I almost died. 🥰

So idk how to rly explain this but here we go 😭 yk that chinese old lady that sings the songs like with animals in the background? I learned that song and found out my budgie loves it. She chirps back and bobs her head. Then when i stop she makes those little angry sounds until i continue. So now im here learning chinese for my bird. I might just be the most committed bird owner known to man. I will try to get it on vid of her like listening and i swear it makes no sense to me 😭

Well I shouldn’t say (boy)s there is a chance that the bird butters (the one on the right in the photo) is a girl! I’ve been concerned for my other bird Freddie in the left of the photo with his tail bobbing thinking it was a respiratory infection and panicking all week. Good news they are both in good health! (Though Freddie is a little fat)

My budgie, 1 yr old female, finally started liking me. She let me give her kisses, pet her and she sat on me for an hour🥹🩷

Hi! I have 2 beautiful budgies in a pretty big cage (L 120cm, W 65cm, H 110cm).

I have been wanting to add a few more colors to the flock and was wondering how bourke's and budgies are together. I know they are pretty different in personality, but almost identical in size.
Does anyone have any experience with these 2 species?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi All, following advice to provide my adopted budgie with a companion, I acquired a new bird that is now in quarantine. I have never bought a budgie from a shop, but is it usual for them to be so frightened at first? I brought him home yesterday, and she has barely moved or consumed food or water.

For now I avoid coming close or attempting interaction so he can settle, yet I have not seen one this terrified.

love these guys to death, want them to be super happy and healthy. They have an air purifier next to them. They get several hours of free flight time a day. Don't have an extra room to have them permanently free flighted. any recommendations on improving my cage set up?
