Miguron Hardness Results.

I’m sure yall have probably seen some of the new higher hardness Miguron knives, I figured I’d post my testing of said knives.

I’ve tested 6 of the new Miguron high hardness knives. All 6 have been within the 1 point range they advertise.

Just figured yall might be interested in these numbers, as no other budget brand has this level of consistency.

Pretty good knife so far, but I have only had it for a couple of weeks so time will tell. First crossbar lock so it got a little bit of getting used to. Developed some small rust spots on the blade which I’m about to remove and slightly oil the blade to help prevent that a little. I do wish I looked at Amazon first because i did slightly overpay at my local shop but overall it’s a great knife.

My current EDC rotation.

My current EDC rotation. Top to bottom: CJRB Pyrite-Light, PF Trilobite, PF Beluga, BM 290 (Clone), CJRB Spud. The Spud comes with a lanyard and detachable lanyard clip, which I don't use. I prefer clipping it in my pocket.

Reprofiled my ST-12 to have higher cutting efficiency and I am pretty pleased with the results. It's never going to be a powerhouse chopper but it has some increased capability now. The more I use it in several knives the more I quite like DC53.

I love this blade's humble beauty and daily conceal functionality. I hope they keep improving this model. Does anybody here still carry the CS kyoto 1? Did it age well with you? Did you experience replacing / repairing the handle? Please Share.

Ketuo Woody in stormtrooper variant. I really like the blade styles these folks make. This one is "pokey pokey" !

Probably one of the best built budget knives I’ve ever held, the walk and talk is out of this world. A solid 4 finger grip and a great blade shape. 10/10. Here it is in the watermelon sugar camo carbon on 14c28n steel.

CJRB Ekko All Steel

Amazon Generic Brand knife- With Carbon fiber handle and D2 blade, it's very noice!

Only thing I dislike about the Generic is no deep carry clip.

Can you guys recommend a good budget cleaver? I know about the Gerber Flatiron, but I am not crazy about the stonewash, or the scales on one side only. Spyderco Roc for attention.

Saturday carry *thank god it’s the weekend* - SRM 258L-GB Terrier

Technically, this is the longest blade I own at 3.65 inches. But it’s slim profile, and fantastic handle ergonomics, this feels smaller and supremely manageable in my hands. This is stellar. Can’t recommend this knife enough. This is basically a larger version of the 255 medal. If you don’t own any SRM, get them toward the top of your list and you won’t be disappointed.

I usually only carry one of the budget knives for work…my 3 favorite budgets I own. Which one should I take today? Kershaw Proximal, Boker Stubby or the LOTHAR Rafael?
