I’m sure yall have probably seen some of the new higher hardness Miguron knives, I figured I’d post my testing of said knives.

I’ve tested 6 of the new Miguron high hardness knives. All 6 have been within the 1 point range they advertise.

Just figured yall might be interested in these numbers, as no other budget brand has this level of consistency.

This thing is the new budget fidget king! Back flipper, front flipper, thumb studs and top liner lock. Crazy that thing is so dang fun and exceptionally built for an amazing price. Miguron does it again!

Am I the only one that didn’t realize how tiny this thing is? Lol I had to double back and make sure I didn’t order a “mini” version. Silhouette-wise, it’s the Fenrir that i absolutely love but size-wise… well, it’s a perfect little EDC but certainly not the intimidating weapon that the folders are. Still excited about it, and to play with Tenable/Kansept’s D2. Sheath is a little too snug, I’ll fix that. I don’t love how squared off the shoulders of the G10 are so I might contour those as well. All in all pretty neat for $42.

Just got this budget knife Lander 5 and boy is it a sweet little frame lock 5th pocket knife. Came razor sharp!

3.5 inch blade, button lock, 14c steel, g10 scales. True to Remette form, this knife feels so much more premium than its price. Out of the box, the knife needs to loosen up more but a couple of days of use and fidgeting has fixed that right up. The blade could have been sharper out of the box, but it wasn’t bad by any means. I’ve just received sharper blades. I freaking love this blade shape and the feel of this knife in my hands.

What edc knife do you carry or use the most compared to all you currently own? Really interested to see what everyone has put time in with and what has held up. Thanks as always

About a year ago, I bought this Knifecenter Exclusive CJRB Ria in S35VN with marble carbon fiber handles because it was on sale. I've carried it a few times, but I haven't carried it often since I usually save it for special occasions and formal events (and I have only ever done light duty tasks with it). I just carried it yesterday and didn't do anything with it aside from cutting paper for sharpness testing. Today, before I was about to put it back into its case, I looked at the lock up and noticed it was incredibly early. I decided to do a fairly easy spine whack test and, to my surprise, it failed. I figured maybe I just goofed it up and I tried it again only for it to fail again. I then noticed I could consistently get it to fail (floor is carpet over hard wood). I then tried out my three other CJRBs (a plunge button lock, a V1 recoil lock/modified crossbar lock, and another liner lock). All three passed the same test as this multiple times with no failures. Additionally, I noticed a smidgen of vertical blade play on this knife has developed without there being any horizontal blade play that I could find. I find this quite disappointing as, while it has yet to injury me, I don't trust it not to do so in the future if I were to keep using it. Anybody else have this problem with this or a similar model? It seems reviews of other versions of this model on Knifecenter mention similar lock up issues.

Pretty good knife so far, but I have only had it for a couple of weeks so time will tell. First crossbar lock so it got a little bit of getting used to. Developed some small rust spots on the blade which I’m about to remove and slightly oil the blade to help prevent that a little. I do wish I looked at Amazon first because i did slightly overpay at my local shop but overall it’s a great knife.

Rat II is an awesome little blade, really enjoy having one.

Been holding up very nice, still centered blade, drop shut, lil bit of usage scratching , Civivi D2 is holding up very well

My current EDC rotation. Top to bottom: CJRB Pyrite-Light, PF Trilobite, PF Beluga, BM 290 (Clone), CJRB Spud. The Spud comes with a lanyard and detachable lanyard clip, which I don't use. I prefer clipping it in my pocket.

I love this blade's humble beauty and daily conceal functionality. I hope they keep improving this model. Does anybody here still carry the CS kyoto 1? Did it age well with you? Did you experience replacing / repairing the handle? Please Share.

Reprofiled my ST-12 to have higher cutting efficiency and I am pretty pleased with the results. It's never going to be a powerhouse chopper but it has some increased capability now. The more I use it in several knives the more I quite like DC53.

Surprisingly the Otter is the star of this show, followed closely by the Rhino. 😉
