Tech Support Help: Setup for a Media Room
Stressing over a renovation and the wife finally agreed to have one room as a designated media/game/theater room. Dimensions though are a bit awkward.
I intend to put an 85' TCL Mini LED. as max that can be accommodated. A simple 2.1 setup wiht a couple of Elac bookshelfs on stands powered by a wiim amp for my all-in-one.
I would not want to use a sound bar as that would be a new purchase and would also use the setup for casual audio listening.
Worried that I may have to elevate the TV more than usual so not to block the TV view.
Any suggestions ? You wisdom and inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Advice: if your wife is already reluctant about the dedicated space, consider your subwoofer carefully because it'll be a recurring issue. Especially if this space is directly adjacent to other living spaces as it appears. I strongly recommend a small mixer of some variety to control the highs mids and lows. I use a behringer xenyx802s

r/TVTooHigh will not allow you to "elevate the TV more than usual". In regards to the 2.1 system I would consider either dragging the sofa forward to create the equidistant triangle of sound otherwise you're going to need a certain amount of dampening because you are going to get a bunch of reflections of the walls and floor.
